Here's are a couple tips I have for you as a long-time player of Worldbox: First, when making maps, you could draw the shoreline with sand after you use the Vortex button. This just helps visually but it'll greatly improve your maps, trust me. Second, you could've changed the Age from the Age of Despair to the Age of Hope because the Age of Despair is *always* a civilization ender in Worldbox, regardless of how well preparedthe populace of any kingdom stands. It is truly something you either analyse very carefully or you just remove. But either way, this video was really good and your narration is very enticing. A very good video.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the tips. I have another video where the civilization actually did survove the age of despair multiple times and lasted beyond 24 hours.
@@BrokenCircle1 that is really interesting. Maybe I'm just very paranoic over my worlds, idk, but I'll sure be watching that video there, mate. Cheers.
Holy, this video popped up in my recommended and I watched it because I liked the concept and only now do I realise this only has 580 views. The video quality presented here is definitely top notch and you definitely deserve more views and subs. Edit: also the exposition of smaller channels that youtube has been doing lately is incredible on their part, giving a chance to small youtubers to make a debut even if they dont already have another platform like twitch or tiktok
NO FR THO, I was like 8 whole minutes into the video, decided to give it my like and realized it only had 154 idk if bro has monetization or not, but in anyway I'm turning off my adblock for this channel lol
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching. I've gotten alot of feedback like this so I think I will do another video similar to this though it will be a while. I have alot of major stuff coming up in my life soon but stay tuned. More is on the way.
God I really hope they make some major updates to this game for all us players who actually create stories and develop history around the civilisations that form. Wonderfull video, keep them coming, I suggest one or two main landmasses that are long, even only united by small land bridges , so that more villages of more kingdoms can be formed for the land area, and for better environmental intrigue to be possible, and at least one large island that can hold a respectable sized population as the isolationist (or expansionist) island people that can be the orcs to keep them nerfed as the others can grow far stronger on the continents and the orcs are more inclined to remain peaceful. Also means a species might get taken out on one continent and not the other, or a future continent vs continent war and later a continents colony revolutionary war, with the island as a potential spinner in the works. Would certainly have a chance at working very well in this video format.
When I first played this there was basically nothing in it... The developers have A LOT planned especially for the next update. It's supposed to make it easier to create stories since most worldbox players have also been asking for it.
this was amazing, your narrative style is very entertaining. I would love to see this experiment again but with better RNG, they got 3 bad ages in a row and that's why they died, they actually did pretty well against everything the world threw at them
I once created a world and pressed pause, I planted exactly 25 of each species in two groups somewhere on the map. The humans and dwarves banded together to stamp out the orcs
the age of despair is what caused the downfall i think, with them too weak to fend the cold ones off and it being to most destructive age it was bound to end this challenge too early
I reccomend you don’t use the corrupted, infernal, or candy biomes ever in the future as they are extremely annoying for civilizations to deal with (especially corrupted) and gives basically anyone else an advantage over them, but great video!
@@NeoEvanA.R.T they should have a fair start, if it’s like that and especially for 2 civilizations the one without corrupted or infernal is gonna win and make the video boring.
What happened to the upload of this same video earlier today? Did you accidentally delete it, or did it need some extra work? That was weird seeing it disappear after a few hours. In a way this game reminds me of Dwarf Fortress where it’s one of those “story generators” where all kinds of crazy stuff can happen in the world independently of the player. Drawn Fortress is truly INSANE! The game simulates erosion, armies and people groups migrating across the world, how cultures are shaped by their environments and will interact with each other, keeps track of the health of individual body parts (the combat log get truly nasty since it talks about stuff like eyelids, organs, broken bones, fingers, nails, blood loss, and other stuff), and a bunch of other things. Theres this cool Mario overhaul mod and it’s pretty wack. You can play as the different Mario races, use items from that setting, farms the different animals/creatures, and other stuff. The whole thing is pretty crazy! In the past I asked you if you played Half-Life and you said you played some of them, but were underwhelmed by them. Do you think that you’d consider making a video talking about what you did and didn’t like about the series? (If you do make a video on that when you capture the Half-Life 2/Episodes footage you NEED to use the mod that replaces Alyx with Krystal from Star Fox. That would be SO FUNNY!🤣🤮) In the future you should make a world that’s an archipelago. That way the different races will know there’s something on the other side of the water and they’ll be far more likely to explore and expand. These videos are interesting to watch. I hope there’s a bunch of crazy mods for the game. Those ice monsters constantly arising reminded me of the Ice Demons of Kamal in Elder Scrolls lore (now that’s a crazy universe right there!)
Thanks for watching. I had made a post about earlier I guess it didn't display for everybody. What happened was yesterday when I uploaded the video and scheduled I was it I was really tired and I pressed 5:05 AM instead of 5:05 PM so I took it down because I thought PM would have been a better time. Maybe I should have left it up. It's been a long week... As for Half Life I have not played much of 2 and I didn't beat Blue Shift or Opppsing Force. One day I will and perhaps I will make a video I don't know. I wouldn't say I was underwealmed by them now that I think back. I guess I was just playing them at the wrong time in my life. Alot of crazyness going on (in the last couple of years I've lived in 3 places on two continents) Always appreciate seeing you here. We're doing a Halo gamenight over on MCC around 10pm EST if you are interested the discord link is in the description.
That explains it. Hopefully it gets some traction. Makes sense. Going through a rough patch can sour just about anything. Hopefully you’re past that. I’m willing to admit the games have their flaws with some areas that weren’t handled very well, and some others (like the narrative sections in 2) didn’t age particularly well and take away from the game’s replayablity. My biggest problem with the series is the fact that Half-Kife 2 was a really good game, but a bad sequel. I’m one of those weirdos in the camp that believes the Beta was better and that it would’ve been the proper way to continue the story and gameplay. That being said there’s certainly things in the Beta that would need to be HEAVILY reworked or outright scrapped because they simply didn’t work. I just think that Valve trimmed back a little too much and it makes the retail Half-Life 2 feel kind of bear in comparison to the first game and the Beta. Thanks. Thanks for the offer, but I’m good. For whatever reason Discord has never appealed to me and I don’t really care about most multiplayer content. I mostly prefer PvE content like campaign missions and Firefight. If I ever change my mind I’ll be sure to seek out your server.
each biome has different conditions, the corrupted biome (the one with dead trees and grass)is a grave danger to even developed civilizations because when someone dies in it they spawn a ghost or skeleton which then kill more while there can be a blessed biome(dont remember name) which increases the stats of the people that go there or the jungle that defends a civilization from most dangers with monkeys(kills orcs)there are lots of things that go into play and you really cant be sure how things will go from the start even if it seems obvius
I'll see how this one pans out at the moment it has done abysmal compared to my other one. Maybe it was just a fluke. I'll probably do another one at some point just no point in doing it if no one wants to watch it.
The thing that I doesn't like is... why the Orcs are the strongest faction? ... and then ... it looks like the game is designed to destroy intelligent life.
The first rogue mage was a false flag op by the dwarves. You can't change my mind
Wouldn't surprise me.
Kinda funny just how busted Orcs are. I have to relish in nuclear holodomor in order to give the others a chance
Yeah that's why I didn't spawn any in this time. Thanks for watching.
