Thank you for yet another lovely podcast episode. That bright red just look amazing on you, and I sat wondering what the pattern was until you mentioned it wasn't handmade. I love your project and I cannot avoid noticing you love the Danish eastetics with patterns from Petite Knit and Lene Holme Samsoe. Being a Danish knitwear designer living in Australia, that makes me very happy and understanding why I feel so connected to you. Looking forward to seeing your Chunky Dahlia.
Hope you and your family, especially your husband. Retina detachment is very serious and have to hurry to fix it. I didn’t and now permanently blind in my right eye. But God is good. Still have my left . Knitting help me and watching your and Chelsea Luxe Podcast also help me going though that period of me life. So thanks . I didn’t know anyone else that went though Retina Detachment.
I am first and foremost a sweater knitter. I knit 23 sweaters last year: 5 for children, 11 test knits and many were gifted. I have finished 4 so far, with 3 more to go. Of the 7, 4 are test knits. I really enjoy test knitting as you can probably tell! I used the Harrisville Daylights in one of the tests, and I used Sonder Yarn Co for the colour work. I am going to do more accessories in April, and less sweaters. I really need a red beret!🇨🇦🇫🇮
Fabulous to see you, Sandy! A new podcast that I have started watching is Be Do Knit with Amy. She started by doing Vlogmas episodes and now is doing regular podcasts. I love her personality, so much fun to watch.
It was so nice to catch up with you. I am glad to hear Glen is doing well. Your podcast is always very relaxing for me. Enjoy the Spring and your sweater knitting. I look forward to seeing your progress. Take care!
I was so happy to hear your review of the Maas books! I love her ACOTAR books but have not been able to get into the assassin books-I am going to follow your suggestions and try again. I loved Bride, also! Thanks for your inspiring podcast!
Hi Sandy! The color of your cardigan looks so good on you. I thought I would let you know that Lene Holme Samsoe is LeKnit as well, her patterns are beautiful can't wait to see the Porcelain Sweater Solo.
Nice to se you again ❤ I find it so funny that your dreamknit is all danish designs 🇩🇰 Petiteknit, leknit and camijoknit are all danes 🇩🇰 btw The porcelainsweater is inspired by the royal danish porcelain from Royal Copenhagen, It is blue and White. Looking forward to folkow your danish knit 👌🏻 best wishes Lola from ………… yes Denmark 🌸
Lovely episode 🙂 and Danish designers for the win! Mette (petite knit) and Camilla live relatively close by me, and Lene Holme Samsøe is the designer behind Le Knit (her last name is also the name of a small island were we have a sommerhouse, not that it has anything to do with the matter 😀). Many kind knitting regards from Hanne in Denmark
Nice to see you back. That Pocelain sweater is stunning. Unfortunately I looked it up and it is fingering weight and bottom up both of which are not my favorites.
Actually if you look at the gauge it is 21 sts which is more like DK. I think she holds a fingering and a mohair together to achieve it. It can be deceptive if you just look at the yarn weight…always look at the actual gauge!
Hi! I can’t remember the names of them all but I definitely started with the assassin’s blade, then just went through the series (they are numbered in the descriptions when you buy them or on good reads). The tandem read was tower of dawn and empire of storms. This is the chart I used; www.tlbranson.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Throne-of-Glass-Reading-Guide.pdf
Your Dahlia sweater is going to be so cosy. You have chosen such beautiful colours too 😊
Oh thank you!
Always a pleasure to see you pop up in my feed. Lovely to sit and knit with you xxx

@@bythelakeside oh I did not know that even though I have seen her yarn everywhere 🧶🍁
Sandy can I suggest a pattern for Gina's yarn? loop London has a pattern called tiny tassels, do the tassels in red. I'm not sure if it is 4ply or dk.
I love that pattern, thank you!
Have you read The Discovery of Witches books? If you haven’t I think you’d like them. Vampires that might appeal!
I have read them, I loved them. There is a tv series on them as well!
@@bythelakesideThere’s a new one coming out in the summer based on Matthew called The Blackbird Oracle….i have it preordered!😊
