I am so glad that you are back on a regular basis. You share all the things that I love - knitting, cooking, reading, shop news and skin care favorites. A perfect day morning involves listening to/watching your videos while I work on my own projects.
Had a wonderful time watching.every day..will miss them..but I came away with peace and motivation to do all the things I love doing..a simple life thank you..and good luck to your son James at school.❤
I had the same weird issue with my hat doing the same thing with the decreases. I just couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong but I loved the rest of the hat and yarn so I ripped back the wonky decreases and modified to just do normal decreases and I’m glad I did. I finished it off, love it and happy to have it off the needles and able to wear it 😁
Congrats on your new loom! In a future episode, I’d love you to: show how you warp it (yes, you are a newbie, but it would give us muggles and idea😅), let us know how you decided on that particular loom, what you think you’ll make with this loom. Have fun!
Thanks for another podcast. I know what you mean about January being a tough month. I’m in Chicago (on Lake Michigan) and have had similar weather to you. It has been so gray since mid Dec and the short dark days really get to me. I’ve been repotting my house plants and have been looking at seed catalogs. I’m going to plant some herbs and lettuce this week. I also bought some pink tulips at the store last week and they are giving me hope for spring. It sounds like reading and knitting have been a boost for you. Take care and happy knitting and reading.
I adore the On the C Train hat, as well, and have made at least 100 of them and given almost all of them away to friends and family. I can make one in two nights and it such a satisfying hat to knit.
Sandy, the same thing happened to me with the decreases on the hat. I knit the Manhatten Hat by Tory Yu, similar pattern, same decreases. I honestly think you won't see the gaps. You're not doing anything wrong. I tried to tighten my stitches, and with the Manhatten, she has two ways of decreasing, I made 2 hats, I tried both decrease methods, I still had the slight gaps. You don't notice them at all when wearing. If someone can pick out a problem with our knitting, they are standing way too close!
I loved seeing your wips and your bunny bags. Your yarn choices for the sweaters are gorgeous! I really enjoy your videos and I'm happy to hear you'll be making monthly videos this year. 😊
Greetings from Norway. Sandnes is a city here in Norway, where the Sandnes Garn mill is located. «Garn» means Yarn, KOS means cozy, and you are right- «Farge» menas Color in Norwegian 😊 I love following you, pleasant episodes and you make so many beautiful things 🥰
Socks are so much fun. Get some fun yarn! Baby socks are great to teach you the steps without a lot of stitches. I hope you do learn socks this year! ❤❤❤
I will definitely check out your book recommendations, Sandy! OH MY GOSH that Blueberry Catch-all bag!!! Somehow I will own one!!! 😍 Beautiful dream knits!!!
Oh you packed so much into this wonderful vlog. Thankyou Sandy. So many great ideas and tips. I wish I could be so productive. The books you’ve read and recommend sound very good as well as all the knitting ideas you have. You’re an inspiration. I will really enjoy a monthly vlog from you. I missed you vlogging last year except during Vlogmas which you make so much fun. xx 🧶😃🇬🇧
Nice vlog Sandy😊 if you make a priority to weave in the previous ends of your shawl when you start a new color row it will be quick and you won’t have all those ends to weave in at the end. Just keep your darning needle in your project bag and take the few minutes to do it- so satisfying and you can check it off your list!
It's so interesting hearing you speak about the Stockholm hat and your concern about the decreases. I just finished the Hipster hat by Petite Knit. I had a hard time with the decreases . They did not look good to me either. I liked your comment about the DK socks. I've pretty much decided I'm not knitting fingering weight socks anymore they're just not that comfortable on my feet. I think the DK are so much more squishy. 😊❤
I’m a DK sock convert as well. To use up my fingering sock yarn, I hold two strands of fingering with one being a solid white or gray usually. It makes a lovely marled effect. My son loves them. And I do too.
Sandy! This is such perfect timing - I just finally finished your Vlogmas yesterday! I so enjoy all of your videos, your home, your approach to cooking and baking, your shop and all of your knitting - your starts as well as your dream knitting! Thanks so much looking forward to following your adventures again soon! ❤
Enjoyed the visit! I love the leather totes 😄. I made to the arm divide on the Secret Garden Sweater. Never got started on the Sophie Scarf, as my daughter needed new inner mittens for her leather mittens. Thought it would be nice to share back what I’m doing 😄. Now I want to try out some dk socks. Yours are beautiful.
Another beautiful episode Sandy. Whenever I see a new episode pop by, I know I’m in for a treat and set aside some special time to focus on all your makes, likes, shares and smiles.
Omg!!! MONTHlY VIDEOS!?!?!?! Sandy, I can’t even, I am so freaking excited 🎉 I put a chair and a candy bag in the closet with a 6-pack of Diet Coke so that when I go in there my kids KNOW you are vlogging! ❤ Also, I too, freaking hate January… what a dumpster fire of a month 😂
Awesome to watch a new video from you. You didn't mention if you are working on your 2nd Avenue Wrap Sandy. Just curious. I have made 2 because you inspired me to make one in the first video I watched of yours last fall😊
I don’t wear hand knit socks with dressy shoes, just ankle boots or around the house. They don’t stretch out my boots though, they are not very bulky at all.
I honestly don’t know why you fight against yourself. Life is so short, choose the hat that it will give you joy to knit….the other hat will be there waiting for you to go back to when it won’t be a chore. There is no guilt in knitting what you love.
I am so glad that you are back on a regular basis. You share all the things that I love - knitting, cooking, reading, shop news and skin care favorites. A perfect day morning involves listening to/watching your videos while I work on my own projects.

Lovely to hear that you are going to be back every month xx
I bought my first rigid heddle loom last year! I also appreciate a reference book. I went with inventive weaving on a little loom.

Thank you as always Sandy for sharing. I am looking forward to seeing your weaving progress.

Oh my goodness, you look stunning in that sweater. Sandy, I need a bunny bag in my life 😊❤
Thank you! 😊
those dk weight socks are gorgeous- love them 😊 I want this to be the year I learn to knit a pair of socks. Great podcast as always- thanks, Sandy!
Socks are so much fun. Get some fun yarn! Baby socks are great to teach you the steps without a lot of stitches. I hope you do learn socks this year! ❤❤❤
I love your planned sweaters! You are one busy lady.
I will definitely check out your book recommendations, Sandy! OH MY GOSH that Blueberry Catch-all bag!!! Somehow I will own one!!! 😍 Beautiful dream knits!!!
The Putney sweater in that colorway with those sleeves is soooo you, hurrry cast this and go!
Love the dream knitting ideas!!! Beautiful colours for yarn.
Lovely to see you EASE into your regular monthly Podcast this year, sharing all your makes, all the books, and All the Things! 😊
Oh you packed so much into this wonderful vlog. Thankyou Sandy.

That kindle case is life! It’s awesome.
Thanks so much for your cookbook recommendation during vlogmas. It is without doubt the best slowcooker book I’ve ever seen. So many great recipes 🧡
Great to see you made a new video. Love your socks and your yarn bowl matches your pretty sweater!! Color looks good with your skin tone!!

That teal tote make your eyes just pop-stunning
Thank you so much!
i weave in my ends as i go and when i'm done i'm done

How delightful to spend some time "with" you! I love your projects and your dream knitting ideas are gorgeous! I chose the word ENCOURAGE for 2024.
I’m a DK sock convert as well. To use up my fingering sock yarn, I hold two strands of fingering with one being a solid white or gray usually. It makes a lovely marled effect. My son loves them. And I do too.
I love the On the C Train hat too…I’ve knit three so far and have the yarn for a couple more!
It was so good to see you again
I knit the Putney sweater last year and I love wearing it. It's so nice. I'm following you on Goodeads now!
Sandy! This is such perfect timing - I just finally finished your Vlogmas yesterday! Sandy, I also had a few issues with the decreases in the hat pattern 🙃 Thanks for a great new episode. Good to see you😊
Hi Sandy! Love all your WIPS and I’m so excited to hear you have your loom!!
Thanks for the knitting inspirations and your book reviews, they are really down my alley.
A really lovely watch, good to see you back and such an inspiring podcast x

So glad to see you again after Vlogmas!
On the C train IS the best. I love it and have made many many hats.
Lovely video as usual - happy to hear your book reviews. I too have renewed my love for reading and love the Goodreads app :)
Great to see a new video 🧡
Happy New Year! It’s lovely seeing you! ♥️🧶📚
Thank you. Always enjoy your videos
Another beautiful episode Sandy. Whenever I see a new episode pop by, I know I’m in for a treat and set aside some special time to focus on all your makes, likes, shares and smiles.
Thank you so much! 😊
I love the sweater you are wearing! Did you knit it? If you did would you share the pattern and yarn you used? Thank you

You seriously make me smile with every single comment. I will join you in the closet with Diet Coke!!
Awesome to watch a new video from you. You didn't mention if you are working on your 2nd Avenue Wrap Sandy. Just curious. I have made 2 because you inspired me to make one in the first video I watched of yours last fall😊
I’ve tucked that one away for now. I love it and will pick it up again another time.
Living in Australia I guess I am lucky not to really need warm socks. I’m interested to know if wearing socks stretches your shoes?
I don’t wear hand knit socks with dressy shoes, just ankle boots or around the house. They don’t stretch out my boots though, they are not very bulky at all.
Hello from my new home in Swansea, Illinois.
A cheerful, fun episode. What you were wearing is extremely flattering. Did you make it?
No, it’s not handmade
hi enjoyed watching you i am a new knitter

I get it, but I LOVE this hat. 😊 The yarn is gorgeous and up until the decreases, it was perfect. I really want to wear it so I’ll keep going.
