The look of this 6x6 is really great, I really like the 3D air intake on the hood, and it is true that it gives it a more aggressive look. The idea of the magnet at the front to avoid removing the bumper is a great idea 👌 I'm not going to mark everything you did on this rc but frankly you had to spend a lot of time on it, especially to solve all the problems such as the axles and drive shafts. I think your explanations are really complete and that it will help people who want to improve this fms 6x6. Bravo for the great job 👍
Just found your video to this Atlas. Awesome car and mods that you have done there. Guess I will take something of that and do it to mine, too. Thanks for the video, man!
Love this build. You answered so many questions I had about trying to do this myself and I am now very confident that I can make it happen because of your work and this video. Thank you very much, man.
Thank you sir for all the info! Wow you solved a lot problems and thought outside the box. I too will absolutely steal your ideas and build my own as well. Again thanks for the info and that’s a freaking SWEET 6x6 👍🏻👏🏻
I like it. I’ve had my Atlas for a month now. I didn’t realize, there’s no part support. No where near what the scx24 has. So I came across your video, and got some pointers. I did the Emax on scx24 axles with scramblers on FMS everything. Thanks for sharing your rig info. It’s bad! I like!
I use slices (1-3mm thick) of silicone fuel line (5.5mm OD) for nitro RC cars to place on both sides of each suspension ball joint to eliminate slop. That would help your rear end out a lot. 👍🏻
crickets...:) too funny. This vid pretty much outlines what I plan (plus ideas I'm copying). Really appreciate the options & work arounds you came up with. Should be a fun build, if it comes out half as nice as yours I'll be stoked.
Just snooping your channel. I'm on the fms fb page and I was like...I've seen this rig before on fb haha and you have a rgt??? I have the green crusher and a green atlas . Im thinking of getting the new cross rc at6 6x6 and putting the 2pc dodge power wagon body on and making a cage bed to create a 1/10 atlas 6x6. You have awesome taste in rigs haha Cheers. That atlas is sick
Thank you! Yes I have a yellow rgt. I have videos of it on here. You know fms will release a 6x6 jeep soon. I’m hoping they use metal gears in that one. I have to look up this at6. I’m not familiar with cross rc.
What light controller did you use for the light bar I have the same light bar the light bar works off direct power from the battery but the light controller doesn’t work any recommendations
I have scx24 axles with metal Injora driveshafts but you can use these driveshafts with the stock axles. You’ll just have to get some that’ll fit and you might have to cut the rear shaft down to fit.
And the stock axles has pretty cheap plastic gears in them. That might be your problem. If so you can even do the scx24 axle swap like I did or get the Furitek monster truck metal gears. Guys are saying they’re the same size as tbe stock plastic axle gears. But not cheap.
Thank you. And that probably will work. The main differences are the screw sizes. FMS uses 2mm and Axial uses something like 1.6mm. But why would you want to swap them?
@@legozackproduct111 True about aftermarket parts. FMS vehicles weren’t getting any love from aftermarket companies but their fcx24 is gaining recognition. Treal already started making parts for it. But yeah the fj and the Land are left out in the cold.
So great job you did.I m thinking to buy this truck or fcx24 , actually i love this one 6.6 atlas After all this experience you have with this truck what do you think is best to do ?
Dumbo have great radios and they have a good selection of receivers. They have full size to micro and some with built in light functions. And the emax is a good servo but the Reefs99 and MoFo Black Label are better but cost a little more. And you’ll have to open the holes on the Mofo to use m2 screws.
Cool! How does DumboRC receiver works with digital servo? I have the same with LEDs, but I have no idea which type of servos I have, digital or analog. Some ones I use twitch, some work very well. Any info?
I have quite a few Dumbo receivers in micros and full size rcs. No issues. Some even have multiple servos and winches. Usually a glitching servo means it needs more power. It’s nothing to do with the receiver. You might need a glitch buster or an external bec.
Did you change the distance between the two rear axles? Because you have aftermarket wheels and the stock axle position don't leave much room for bigger tires.
@@9graff9 The only thing is it can happen again with more plastic gears. And you have to wait for China shipping. www.fmshobby.com/products/1-18-complete-vehicle-gear-set?_pos=3&_sid=cd3510daf&_ss=r

I had bought extra stock links to stretch it and these are scx24 axles. But there are not a direct fit. The scx24 uses puny 1.4mm screws and the FMS vehicles use 2.0mm. I carefully made the 1.4 holes bigger.
Nice build man I am starting an Atlas build and already need to move the rear axle back. Which links and driveline did you go with for the rear most axle? Looks great man, new sub!
First, thank you. And I didn’t say I was the first to do something in this video. I said I did this first on another body. But I don’t think it’s newb for someone to say they did something first if indeed, they did it first. Too many guys out here taking credit for something they saw somebody else do.
This is definitely one of the coolest 6x6’s on UA-cam

You could do a custom rear sway bar type thing for the real axel. But this thing is very well done. Its awesome looking.

Wow! Very nice work.
I can't find the larger battery tray do you print those if so I'd like to buy one
Use the link now. I made a couple more.
This 6x6 is insane. Bad ass build man💯
This makes me wanna build my Apache 6x6 but I don’t know if it uses the same frame as the atlas

Are you going to put the light bars up for sale on ebay?

When can I buy one just like it on Amazon ? I'll take 5 please. You killed it on that build. I cant even look at my stock one now.
How much total cost to you figure for the chassis upgrades?
Like that 6x6! Might have to trick mine out.
This is super cool. I want to do mine something like that. Ill use a different color aha.
What part is that gold on the mid axel?
That is sick I love it
Clean as hell
Try printing up a panhard bar for the last diff. You can look it up. It shouldn't require much
Beautiful thanks for sharing
hold up those wheels look amazing. If possible could you send the link to where you got them? and do you think they would fit on a FMS Landcruiser?
Wheels are made by Powerhobby and I got them from their website. Yes they fit the Land Cruiser.
Any way to improve the axles/driveshafts? Mine like clicks/skips under torque like the drives haft skips a tooth or something. Cheap plastic

Awesome rig man! It looks great in black. How did you paint the body shell gloss? Doesn't the clear replacement body have a matte finish?

I've been on the fence about motor, I know the low speed is great, but how's the wheel speed? Is it pretty quick compared to stock? Great video
Thanks. Yes it has metal trans gears and both speeds are better than stock. You can also use a 3s lipo with the furitek system.
Awsome thanks for the info
Where did you get the intake on the bonet please...i need one
Anyone got any idea why the rear tires don't turn anymore? Seems like only my 2 front tires spin..
