Hi, my whole bench is the earth.
@@roosterscreations Thanks for replying, I suspected so. I myself have just a portable worktop which is thin metal and isn't good enough to be the earth on a 90 amp welder. I often have to clamp what I'm welding and it makes for a very slow, awkward process. I'd love to afford a proper welding table instead of just rusting sheet metal.

Cheers Pat, not usually but for something like this yes, as it has to look like the original design or it would look wrong and amateurish.
How do you go about cleaning your welds and parts so well? You are very talented
Hi there,i clean with a wire brush and a lot of elbow grease as i build, i do a few welds then wire brush, then more welding etc.
What are some of your favorite sources for materials?
Seen a few of your works here and there. That was great and deserves a sub. What is your wire and gas setup for welding? I've got a vague idea to try a Millenium Falcon one day.

@@roosterscreations Thanks cock 😁 (an Aussie term that fits) Nice looking welder and a good review/test. I've got a unimig 200 for TIG work and a Fabgear 180 for MIG. Both great machines, was really wondering about stainless to mild joints, been a long time since i tried the mig for it cos I always ran into problems.
@@billbaggins cheers Bill, no never had any issues with welding stainless to mild, I use both stainless and mild steel wire and argon gas no problems, what issues are you having?
Was probly about 15 yrs ago, poor fusion but it was a crappy welder with flux core wire and minimal experience. Buying a TIG and some basic learning solved the problem ☺️. I'll give the mig a try again and let you know how it goes
