I look at it this way if it smells OK and tastes ok . It should be OK to eat. I can't get over on how many people won't eat anything pass the used by date as they think it is not good to eat.. love watching you guys . Now I'm off to the hospital to see what they can do about my hip.
I also eat plenty of food past due date, I have a huge pantry and believe me it comes in handy when I can’t get to store

Stores are not allowed to pull out broken eggs and 'make' a full dozen. That's why you always have at least one broken in the carton.

Great produce! I love the cherries and tomatoes and celery. This haul was really much more varied than I would expect in this heat. Nice eggs. I love egg salad for Summer. I fix egg cartons at the grocery store too!😆

Great haul today! If they open a box eggs and one is broken they have to ditch the entire box. That’s because they can be sited by Ag dept. So I know because my daughter works at Walmart. If they get cracked after by customers then it is okay! The duck family was sweet

Great work FD nicely done! I am always amazed at how much stores throw out. I used to volunteer for the homeless in Florida. I would always ask the managers if they would save things like day old food. Turns out some stores would and some wouldn’t. I think it’s just their preference they say they will get in hot water and find. Have a wonderful day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

What a great haul all that fresh fruit and the eggs. I saw egg prices were up again at our Aldi's today I think $2.77 I found Farm fresh eggs at a cheaper price so that is what I bought instead. Anna In Ohio

Oh baby! I made a cherry cobbler one time and while making the crumble topping i was digging around the fridge looking for brown sugar. Couldn't find it so i saw what else i could add. Believe it or not Feta caught my eye. It was so creamy tangy good! I even called it Compli to give a hint to folks what the secret ingredient was. Ooh la la. 😊

Great haul, F.D.! I would grab the eggs and freeze them. Three to five scrambled and into a small container. Some people add sugar or salt but i leave mine plain. They’r e fabulous in baking or scrambled! The texture is different when they thaw but the taste is the same and no difference in baking. ❤

this food gets around i have those cookies in my cubboard in my area is a walmart and a safeway well we get some food at walmart and some at safeway and of course i make home food like you i also have recipe books like everyone else well i have been saving recipes i have been collecting over the years in binders and my parents gave me some of their recipe books from the 1980s and we find new recipes on the internet or youtube like every one else

yes i have two boxes of the vanilla wafers in my cubboard here in canada they are sold at safeway for 3.50 a box wow okay oh its because i have kids and safeway and aldi are grocery stores

okay god some how is sharing the food with everyone in my country and your country make a pot of red rose tea or peppermint tea or english breakfast tea and share it with your kids oh while you read the sunday news paper we do this in canada show your kids the comics in the news paper go buy a news paper for your family and make scrambled eggs and toast your kids will like this

well these are for the parents to give the kids we eat them with a glass of juice the frozen cans of minute made juice and you add water to the piture and my mother in law and husband like dipping them in there hot cups of tea okay

Our fresh express had to much veggies to ship so they sold boxes for 50¢ these boxes are the size of banana boxes . I had to borrow another dehydrater to get celery, green onions, strawberry's,ECT I dry good and half gallon jar up with moisture pack they will last maybe 26 years but we use lots up in dishes we eat. Feel spoiled for how expensive food is today.
