OKRA, SOUTHERNERS EAT IT CORNMEALED OR BATTERED AND FRIED, usually in a cast iron skillet.. You can roast it on a cookie sheet, boil small pods till tender, and salt it, or the Cajun cuisine puts it in jambalaya or gumbo dishes. I steam mine till it’s super soft, it’s like eating a bowl of snot with little peas in it. Definitely an acquired taste! I also love it pickled, fried, in gumbo, canned, in soup, and the small fresh pods are delicious fresh off the plant.

I want to see FD mix up some dumpster meals WHILST INSIDE the dumpster. Banana Bread, etc. then wrap it in foil and cook it under the hood (to cook with the engine) on the way home. 😂

Those delivery drivers might be able to turn you on to some other Aldi locations with excellent dumpsters. Possibly even stores other than Aldi's where the picking is good.

Okra on the best vegetables in the world. This was a good haul. Love that crate Suzette pan. You can take the hamburger patty, poke holes in it, when you put them together the cheese will run down in between the the burger and down into the other Burger. Yummy

I know the eggs are an important find, but FD made me yell out loud when he disrespected the bananas by stepping on them. FM needs those to freeze for smoothies, watch where you're putting your feet man!
You do have a gorgeous property with the river right in your front yard across the street. I would absolutely love to have that property. Of course now with everything so high in price, I couldn’t afford it.

I’ve got 4 varieties growing and hopefully they’ll all be producers! Can’t wait to get some fresh small ones to eat. I need to check my farmers market, because my planting was a little late this year, they might have some ready already. Thanks for reminding me!

Wow,those skillets are great! We had the 3rd hottest place on the planet in our county in Nova Scotia. We're used to cold. I don't even own an air conditioner. It was brutal.

It was brutal here in Niagara Region, as well. This week has been around 40-45 Celsius,or 100-110 Fahrenheit every day with humidity.
Hay, Ho, Freaking Frugal, The food from the dumpster was Great. I thought. And the stuff that was non food was Good, too. But, My question is for the end of the video....That Ground Meat with Cheese...Oh, man, Looks Great!!!!And then I saw the sandwich.... But, it needed the WORKS in it. You know what I mean... Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onion, Pickle. And Oh, for some people like Chili in it & sliced Bell Peppers. Plus, some put Chips in it. That's the WORK'S!!!!!. YUM, YUM, YUM. Just saying. I Love strawberries, bananas and other fruits and vegetables, but not a big fan of okra.
Boiled okra is gross. I don't eat slimy okra. You gotta cut it up into little wheels, put it in a bowl of cornmeal and gently toss until well coated and then fry it up until crispy. Its so good. Fried green tomatoes are excellent too. You have got me craving a southern summer supper. Thanks lol. ❤
I can only eat okra fried and I can eat a bunch of it! My husband’s fam puts the stuff in gumbo- ick
It makes me laugh with food when items like the smashed burger is apparently new and someone invented it and are making money on it when it was invented many years ago in a dumpster by being thrown away and smashing on inpact with the bin , dumpster food is still the best,

The big flat pan is a crap pan spray whip egg have a berry mix made turn egg all over pan once done place berry mix and fold sides and powder sugar and sweet cream drizzle back and fourt light and serve .

I eat okra two ways cut in little barrels covered in cornmeal and fried and pickled , no slime in either of those never had it in soup even though I am a soutnerner, I think it is popular in gumbos I guess that is a soup./shrug well thx for sharing love and blessings
