You have a very cool range. My indoor ranges won't allow rapid fire, filming or drawing from a holster.
most don't. in So Cal it's 1 shot per second and no holsters allowed.

When I shoot my G21 460, it attracts a lot of attention, hell me friend had A.E and others was more scared to shoot the 460 than the A.E....CRAZY

So, no problems running 115gr low end stuff?
I put a Carver 2 port comp on my 17, and am still trying to get it into an acceptable realm of consistency. Lots of failure to feeds. Ended up getting an 11lb. recoil spring which helped (?) however, the only other recommendation I came across was to run 124gr and above ammo. It cycles the hotter self-defense ammo fine, but I'd like to be able to shoot range ammo in it.
So, my original question: you were able to essentially drop in the barrel and comp and go to town, no other modifications?
+Marvin Smith Yep. 115 factory ball works fine. The comp doesn't shine until the round can get 1250+ fps though. Heavier weight subsonic rounds will have FTEs.

+Johnny Chan Dude it's totally worth the price. The first magazine I shot with my comped G19 I just started laughing and shaking my head. It shoots so flat it's a joke. I was at my outdoor local range shooting a man sized steel target at 50 yards and was hitting 10/10. I then moved to the 1/2 sized man silhouette steel target at 50 yards and hit it 10/10 rapid fire. No joke everyone on the firing line putt there guns down and was just staring at me thinking what the fuck is that gun he's shooting. It's a blast.
Gen 3 or Gen 4? Did you have to switch our springs?
That one a Gen 4. I did not switch out the springs. I now have a gen 3 version with a 13 lb recoil spring. Not because I had to but I just prefer it.
Thanks for the reply. I really gotta stop looking at Glock videos. I 've had a G19 for several years and just bought a G17 with the idea that it would be my host for an RMR. Now, it looks like i need another G19. Who knew youtube could cost so much?
+Modern Samurai Project if this is someone's first atei red dot g19 would you suggest gen 4 or gen 3?
+MrDbcooper456 can't really go wrong. Personally I like gen3 19s and gen4 17s. No science behind it though.

A lot of judgment from the background about your rate of fire. LoL
It might reduce recoil more to take off the surefire. That might sound dumb but in order to hold a front heavy G19 up you'd have to use muscles in your wrist to arc the pistol up, which is the direction which the recoil would go. Basically imagine you're trying to push open a door and every time the gun recoils the jerk on the other side keeps pulling in sharp jolts as you're trying to push. You'd actually help the door fly open in quick bursts. But every setup will be different depending on slide weight also.
No. You keep the surefire on. That's a part that makes a roland special a roland special. Plus, you're getting recoil and muzzle flip mixed up.
