I like how the dialogue is mildly serious/in-character and there's a small plot to the whole thing, and then the UI just goes "get the star" and "haha"

I really want to come up with a story for this: During the events of Galaxy one, the lumas were only able to temporarily stop the supermassive black hole bowser created. Unable to stop it, This caused the fabric of the universe to collapse, the force that delivers prankster comets was affected as well, causing galaxies to converge, to meld together. Rosalina stabilises the universe, but in turn, shattering herself across time and space, explaining why she appears in the cosmic form, and glitchy. The universe, without a protector, is scared, and tries to protect its own galaxies in any way possible, as it cannot differentiate good from bad, it sees Mario and bowser as the same; so it tries to protect itself by hiding power stars from evil, and only those with the help from the Lumas, will be able to retrieve the power stars from extremely difficult melded and broken galaxies. While this is happening, the universe is slowly dying, and as the game progresses, this gets more and more evident by the look and tone of the galaxies. What were prankster comets, have now turned into hellfire comets. A rush of unintentional anger from the galaxy, unfortunately directed at the wrong person. Hellfire comets are sadistic challenges that only fools would take on.
Also, a part of the game should show Lubba and Prankster Comet Luma(from Galaxy 1) chattig together waiting for you, Lubba should explain what happened to Rosalina in Galaxy 1, saying that when she joins the starship in Galaxy 2 , she still shattered, but tried all the way to look normal, and the prankster Luma should explain what happened to the prankster comets and that now he doesn't have control on them anymore
My god this mod is hell. Creative ideas all around, and even the levels i thought were going to be just standard rip offs turned out to be unique. It does feel a lot like a rage romhack tbh, and FLASHBANG GALAXY IS A SIN MY EYES WHYYYY
the mod definitely made me rage sometimes whether it would be me not being able to beat my own levels, or setting up stupid cutscene cameras that would always find a way to pan straight into a WALL instead of where i want it to

super duper sick all around, tons of variety in level design, and I cant wait to see what comes next! I think my favorite level from watching was Hightail Comet, good progression to the level and looks consistently tough but fair. coming from kaizo mario galaxy it's interesting to see lethality emphasized over precision (there's the moving object jumps, but basically no triple jump lines), it's also really nice to see universal free camera lol also, what's the song used in the end card? music choice overall has been on point

hello, i am looking to play this mod on dolphin, but am unsure if there's any way to install the files on there. if there's no way to do it on dolphin then thats okay
once you have the mod files go into dolphin and right click your dump of smg2 and click "Start with Riivolution patches". then find the patch and boot the game up
so 7 months later and im checking in, how far along are you? did you cancel the mod? oh and i really hope there is a secret level that makes you fight all bosses like in normal smg2!
still going! 115 stars are done at the time of writing this so still a long way to go. boss blitz will still be in the mod yes but maybe with a few different bosses

I think i died a total of 250+ times, i made it to some heaven stage or something with double cloud long jumps but i cant get past the tree trunk conveyor hammer part. I got squashed and sent back to the break point. I just wish i could use my mouse and keyboard cuz my Xbox controller is terrible with the star curser lol.
I'm having an issue with Flash Bang Galaxy, I can't seem to get the pipe to the comet medal to work. I can reach it fine but it doesn't function. Unsure if it's an issue or it's on a timer I'm missing or something. Playing on emulator. Let me know if I'm messing something up 🙏
you need a modded wii or dolphin emulator, the mod is played through the xml in the "riivolution" folder. there are various tutorials about how riivolution works and setup tutorials. same with dolphin
depends how i decide to make greens spawn, if they still spawn after every main mission in a level itll most likely be more, if they spawn after 120+ then itll probably still be around 60-70 yeah
