I wasn't to see the Three Lights tap dancing as a part of there transformation that's a big change I mean they need to add that into the anime as well.

These look incredible! Especially Healer's with the tapdancing into a backflip! It's such a quirky transformation sequence and it really suits the fact that they're aliens trying to adapt to Earth's culture.

I prefer the backflips because the tap dancing is much slower. The backflip seems more to a sailor scouts transformation being more active.

I believe it's established in the manga that the transformation takes enough time to be concerned about someone seeing you naked, but is fast enough to see someone being attacked, transform, and intervene before they get hurt. The thirty second twirling and posing is strictly TV magic at work.

Wow, I feel so nostalgic after hearing their original theme, it still suits them perfectly well! And we can all see that for some reason they put more effort in Healer's quicksteps, they are more elaborate than the other two, and the backflip was the cherry on the cake.
I absolutely love the Sailor Starlights' new Cosmos transformations a lot, them doing the tap-dancing styles was so brand new to me and I love especially when it came to their jumping sequences of changing into their Starlight forms, Healer's literally won me over big time, her style was absolutely gorgeous!!!!
The new music for their transformation was good, but this was better. Thank you for this ♥️

Like, everything draws to a halt so that we can watch someone dance and spin and wait as their clothes dissolve into beams of light and new ones appear. All that accompanied by glittery visuals and kinda obnoxious sound effects. And yet, I and many others love it. It's camp, but camp's great.
How do you draw a line at tap dancing though? I can't wrap my mind around it.
One thing I love is that these transformation aren't blindingly bright. That's a problem with more recent magical girl anime, at least from what I've seen. They rely too much on bright colors.
I really enjoyed the Sailor Stars arc in the original Sailor Moon. Seeing it re done in the Sailor Moon Crystal art style looks so epic. I'm glad they finally made the Sailor Stars arc. It was one of the best. And most well done seasons in the series. Kou Seiya, Kou Yaten and Koi Taiki made this season a good and funny part of the series. Glad my favorite season got remade.
By original you mean the manga?
The tap dancing is just spot on. I like this better than their 90s counterpart. Im glad toei decided to make an original henshin for the starlights.
And yaten is the best among the three. Feels like he was the most talented among the trio.
I was watching this last night, after viewing the first part of the Cosmos movie.
I went to sleep with the music and the dance moves, still playing in my mind, even after I woke up. Mr. Arisawa's music just fits perfectly. He is the Father, and the Master of Sailor Moon's Sound, and no other musician that has composed for it (or ever will in the future), will ever hold a candle, or even come close to his masterpieces. He is a Genius, and a Master Composer, and no one can take that away from him, or even compare.
You deserve a goddamn award for this, this is SO GOOD.

I love the Sailor Stars Arc. Espically cause of The Three Lights Seya, Yaten and Kou. I'm glad they brought em back again for Sailor Moon Cosmos. I been waiting forever too see the best season of Sailor Moon get animated once again. The updated transformation theme and their Search for your Love song is gonna be legit epic to hear updated and remixed.

I actually like it, especially Yaten’s dance sequence. As much as I do love the 90s version (even if it may be a little dated now) where they seem more serious and you know that they are certainly not here to play, I do like that the Cosmos version is a bit more lively. I can appreciate that.
The 90s version seemed to be like a photo shoot so this one makes a bit more sense.

When the soundtrack of the movies comes out I will definitely want to relisten to the background music of the transformation of The Starlights and compare it once again to the 90s version everybody knows and is familiar with the starlight theme of the '90s version but I want to be more familiarized if I can and if I'll come to like it to the newest music soundtrack that's done for their transformation right here.
I like the fact that they added a little bit of a dance routine or jig in there I think that's pretty good because these are sailor soldiers that are not from the Earth's solar system just like the other sailor soldiers that aren't from Earth Solar System not only is there sailor fuku different but I'm just to be practical and to make it more believable they're transformation sequences shouldn't be the same either.
I think this is a nice little change and the animation looks pretty good don't get me wrong I appreciate the '90s anime done of the star lights transformation but there was only 1.5% of that animation done when they were upgrading the animation to a second version in the 90s enemy we never got to see sailor star makers full transformation version done near the end of the Stars Arc back from the 90s. It was pretty much incomplete.
Also, Yaten/Sailor Healer seems to do a backflip before she completely transforms into her sailor Fuku I think that's pretty unique and cool since she's the final member of The Starlights team
Yaten is also the "showoff" member of the team so it fits her character really well
The transformation is cute, but the original was so much better
Seiya is as hot as ever. I cant beleive I'm still crushing on Seiya after all these years.
What I like about this edit is that you also managed to catch and edit the original sound effects from their 90's transformation sequences. They sound really clear, a very crispy and excellent quality. Love those cosmic, glittery sounds. Awesome and, Congratulations!!! 👍✨🌠✨🌠✨🌠✨🌠✨🌠
Thanks, im glad you like it! I didnt like the sfx from the movie (specially the finishing pose sfx) so i added some of the 90s sfx.

unlike the old anime, the Sailor Starlights don't beat around the bush when it comes to their secret identities and don't have to battle Sailor Animates for star seeds
they jump right into action to try and help Sailor Moon, they actually become her comrades after her old protectors were killed by Sailor Galaxia, but ultimately, it was up to Sailor Moon to stand up and save the universe alone

I'm confused. Are the star lights guys who become girls when they transform or guys to look like girls when they transform?
They were always female. In Naoko Takeuchi’s manga and in the Cosmos version, they were women dressed up in men’s clothes to disguise thsemselves while on Earth. In the 90s anime, it was a bit more complicated; for some reason, the producerd (I think) for some reason didn’t like them crossdressing as men but remaining female. So it was changed so that they had male bodies in their civilian forms (their civilian forms were their disguises), and when they transformed, they became women again and their sailor senshi forms were their true forms.
Sailor Healers is my favorite as I suspected it would be!!!

It’s kind of a lazy transformation, but I will give them credit for the dance steps and for finally getting their background colors right (in the 90s Seiya had red but his accent color was blue and so on).
The star on the ground does remind me a bit of an Eternal Sailor Moon fan transformation from almost 10 years ago.
The reason why their background colors dont match is because the actual stars located in the kinmoku planet are: fighter (red), maker (blue) and healer (green).
@@sailor_starlights yes, but then design-wise Naoko had decided to give different accent colors.
@@vilvile But what is giving them powers are the stars fighter, maker and healer. So makes more sense that the background matches the stars not the outfits.

You know, I think years AFTER watching Sailor Moon all through the 90’s and seeing the new rebooted I always pondered why their transformation after so different from the Sailor Scouts? Even the outer planets? And I think the reason is this, the four planets: Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus have the shortest orbital around the sun, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn after the farthest maybe even the longest to orbit around the solar system. So, the reason the starlights transformation is based on tap dancing because shooting stars are always soaring across the universe until they burn out. I am not an expert in outer space so please don’t take all of what I say as fact. Sorry…

The tapping in my opinion wasnt all that necessary. It somehow seems odd along with the transformation, but that flip was totally necessary. 👍
