    It is soo beautiful how two different cultures can unite and have a great time together despite their differences including the language barrier :) That is what mountainbiking truly is about: fellowship, fun and progress.

      Yeah, it's awesome. The Japanese people are truly welcoming! It was like this everywhere we went!

    Those conversations you were having were the same ones I was having with my Japanese cousins and their friends when I was stationed there in the Navy. Some of the most nicest people I’ve met in the world. When the get into something, like mtb, they go in 100%. Great video series.

      Yeah, obviously a chairlift is more efficient, but the shuttle is really fun!

    It would be really cool if at the end of this Japan series you could do a video about what it was like to ride there. Like the differences between Japan and more popular MTB destinations, the MTB culture and the culture in general. Just a suggestion if you aren't already planning on doing it. I'm going to Japan at the end of the year and am undecided as to whether to take my bike with

      I will definitely do that along with the logistics of doing this kind of trip. There are some cultural differences for sure.

    Another cool video. Like to see all the. Places. You and Yuka go. Also watch her channel. Narrative about makedness and size gave me a chuckle. Good answer. One of. My favorite channels.

    HAHAHA the onsen penis chatter... I felt awkward at first being naked but then it was fine, and no one was speaking to anyone lol. I love the Japanese though, and it's cool how friendly everyone is to you at the bike parks.

    So that looked a little rougher than some of the other bike parks. What do you prefer, rough and technical or smooth and flowy?

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  6 років тому +2

      I love it all! But it was definitely nice to get some more technical riding in as a lot of Japan is quite flowy.

      it really is awesome! they sell it in 125, 160 and 185mm! super easy to service. completely in love. the 160mm version is overall shorter than the 150 reverb and the 185 is shorter than the 170 reverb. so if you got short legs..grab one ;)

    Hi Eric, I'
    I'm just building a Calling.
    Are you running Saint calipers and lever’s ?
    Did you not consider a Calling ?

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  6 років тому +1

      Yup, I'm running saints :)
      I didn't consider a calling because I wanted to move the parts from my slash over to the wreckoning frame

    • @Bigsbeee
      @Bigsbeee 6 років тому +1

      I read all the time about how the saints don't modulate well and not ideal for trail but you seem to manage just fine ! I loved the Trek you had.

    • @BCpov

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  6 років тому +1

      I like it, feels a lot like the slash, but a bit more plush. I don't like that the tire touches the seat tube on big hits though :(

    The first week I was in Japan some 23 years ago, a drunk guy comes up to me on the train and starts pointing at my crotch, saying 'America?` and gesticulating. After my attempts to defuse the situation by just saying 'I don't understand' in Japanese, he decides to feel for himself if what he was heard about penis sizes is true, and grabs himself a handful of my nether regions.
    Anyone who says 'I would have (insert verb of choice here) him' has to be in such a situation themselves to understand the world goes blank and you spend what seems like ages trying to decide if what is happening is actually happening or not before reacting.
    'Chikan' (touching a stranger's collection of bits and pieces) is real people!!!
