2nd Place and 1st Place Lady Angler in the 2023 Old School Kingfish Shootout!

In today's episode, Jeremy, JJ, and Kayla are fishing in the 2023 Old School Kingfish Shootout and get their biggest kingfish ever. The morning started out tough with a lot of sharks and a bad tangle but at mid day a huge King Mackerel hit that weighed 45.68lbs.

Finally got the chance to watch the video! What an awesome job by all on board to get that fish into the boat without any damage! Very difficult to do with a big shark on them! Really enjoyed fishing with you all today on Father's Day! What a great day! I really liked that trophy that you got Kayla! That is an awesome reminder that you will cherish for many years to come! Nice King! I've been thinking about targeting smaller sized Kingfish nearshore in the St. Augustine area. What season or water temp do the Kings start feeding close to the beach within a mile or two?

They get there as early as May but June through August is best. Water temp from as low as 72 to a more ideal of 79
