Can totally relate to everything your guest has said. When you enter a martial arts gym, it's a fresh new start, nothing matters on the mats/in the ring, your socio-economic status, your race, your accent, your job, what school you went, all of that is absolutely irrelevant and no one cares. The only things that matter are your grit and humility. Your ability to get your ass handed to you and come back for some more tomorrow, your ability to stand your ground, not quitting and give your best when you face a stronger opponent, and your ability to stay humble and respect your opponent enough to give him your best and not being condescending. You win some, you lose some, it doesn't matter, but what matters is how you treat your victories - "if you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same". The only thing that matters on the mats is your character, your integrity, and how you treat people, nothing else - there are no labels there. As the saying goes, "You can't teach heart".

Love it when Brandon changed the label from disability to different ability. Also, I agree with all he said about not judging others.
