Good video but tapping into those speaker wires wont work with factory crossovers in my 2015 yukon. I followed this video to a T and all output I got was mid range. You need to tie into the factory sub speaker wires for bass. Im having a hard time getting to it as I think it up in the front of the center console
What is the best way to get to factory bose sub? Up to this point now..smh
@@antoniomtz1320 it's under the center console between the driver and passenger seat...check Crutchfield or just Google it
Ok
Thanks for your comment! I follow this video to a T also, and my subs sound awful! I bought different amps and subs. Still getting the same results. Can someone please tell me what wire to tab into…
Use your rear speakers wires
What makes your video better than most is your play by play with options for the installer. You helped a lot.
Thank you great video it was very helpful
Very informative and well done, you should try using our products on your vehicle Thank you for the content
For anyone installing a Sub Amp with a Factory Bose Head Unit, DO NOT tap into one of the speakers for your high level out as these are crossed over by the head unit (Bass response will be minimal). You should go under the center console and tap into the Subwoofer input (& Disconnect that POS while you are in there).
I have done this and no sound is being output. I tapped the sub wiring in the center console on my Tahoe and it's like Bose knows it wants me to fail. Amp is powered on and sub works in another vehicle. Any more insight?
When shaving the cable I use a exacto or box cutter but your way if not other way
I recommend going around the cable in a straight line this technique takes time to learn though -but the last thing you want is a bunch of cable being cut into so if there are more than a bundle of strands falling out then recut and try again -I generally get about 1-3 strands on the usual... but I recut if it's over 5 or close to 10 strands because that's close to a bundle.... bundles are what they twist together smaller bundles of wire to make 1 big bundle called cable
Hell of a video bro very gud explanation of this install I got it I have after market radio so I just gave too run hot and remote and the rca and I'm gud thnk you
Just an FYI, there is a nipple that you can cut off on the firewall grommet that allows for running wires. If you use the drivers side grommet, it will come out just above the electrical center to the left of where your foot rests.
Great Video! Is this the same for my 2016 Silverado?
Nice video. Can you do the same process on a 2018 gmc acadia?
Can your Line Output Connector Connect to the Factory Subwoofer in the Console ??/
I am Thinking of Adding the FACTRY Subwoofer in the Center Console
Awsome video
Question is this for a Tahoe that don’t have a nose factory amp correct it’s for a LS ?? That don’t come with a factory amplifier ?
What subwoofer are you using
Where do you connect the power wire from converter
I just can't bring myself to use any taps on my own truck's wiring. I'm sure it saves time, but I've run into too many instances where people have used them and they fail.
I did everything exactly the same but i am getting a loud noise out my sub every time i accelerate
Did you figure it out ? I think you have your rca cables running too close to your power wire
AMAZING VIDEO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
just Picked up a 2018 TAHOE over Bumps Right side Speakers Cutting OUT !!!!! WTF Car Still Has WARRANTY
I then Notice Thick GAUGE Wire Run just like you Going inside ?
I then see its Running to the CONSOLE AREA Below the RADIO .
TODAY Weather STILL GOOD - I decide to TAKE THE RADIO OUT and see WTF is Going on .
I Locate the LOC Below the GM 8427 Reciever .
Right next to it is the AMP SILVER in Color with 2 small adjustment knobs !!!!!!!!!
all this stuffed in the FLOOR CONSOLE Between Driver and Passenger SEAT on the Carpet .
STILL TRYING TO FIND where the Wiring LEADS TO .!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you know where the factory Bose amp is
@@rizisupra7853 Not Sure - Have not Taken appart the Console Yet - Still Driving me Crazy Over Bumps- the Original OWNER installed a LOC under the Console , Not Sure if the Original Owner Removed the SUBWOOFER SPEAKER when Traded in the Vehicle , i GOT a OEM Subwoofer SPEAKER that Fits UNDER the CONSOLE .
Aren’t you supposed to hook it up to the rear sub amp
Will it work on bose system stereo
Need advice
Will this work with Bose?
No
@@codymiller8467 lol. It’s all good. Been got some speakers in. Thanks though!
You killed it once your brought in positaps. Going as far as to make a video and you use positaps!? For shame!
word!!!!
Crutchfield actually recommends them.

Yeah let's run all wires together because interference isn't a thing.
The firewall has grommet .. your doing too much work🫰🏾
