I agree … there is no one else on YT … that does it like our guy Austin, such meticulous attention to every detail not to mention the level of fab skills !! top notch …👍
Without a doubt! My favorite build to date. The classic lines of the FJ are timeless! Give yourself a break! This thing is a one off, full custom, rock star! 😎
Definitely enjoyed it! Can't smash the like button enough haha It's in trial mode and I'm sure it will all get smoothed out. At least your drive shafts and steering work after all the customizations. I'll bet it feels good to see it moving. Question: are you gonna put the original FJ grill back on the front??
Seeing you on sitting on the box for a seat gave me a chuckle. It reminded me of my first project car, a 72 firebird, I was so exited to get it running I put a five gallon bucket to sit on. My friend and I took it for a test drive. I rapped the throttle and we both ended up in the back seat, hilarious. Luckily, I was able to scramble up to the front before we hit anything. Good times!
That so satisfying been watch all your builds. And once you see it rolling you know the builds almost done. Keep up the hard work! And the killer builds. One thing I’d recommend to you I just bought one my self off Amazon is a coolant funnel. Attaches to the rad cap and also comes with a plug to prevent spill once it’s bled.
Congrats Austin on your first drive I think you need to name it " Skippy " for all of the skippin it did backin out of the shop That thing looks like a beast
I think I just realized you got two other brothers with channels as well that are into other motorsports that are very entertaining. You guys are awesome! I assume your brothers. You guys look just alike! lol Either way keep up the hustle!! 🔥🔥
Great job on the first drive Austin! Been following you since way back and this has to be one of my favourite builds so far. Your attention to details is insane and the ability to make so many custom parts gives me serious envy 🤩 can’t wait to see the 40 finished 😎
It's magnificent! How lucky to be able to transform a vehicle in this way, in my country (France) it will not even be possible one day to change the color! Beautiful work! This is a BJ40 owner who tells you! ------trad google---Il est magnifique ! Quelle chance de pouvoir transformer un vehicule de cette maniere, dans mon pays (France ) il ne serra meme plus possible un jour de changer la couleur ! Beau travail ! 😎👍 slow close... along way from the start of the build... just yards from the finish line... best part of any build 👌 Great job it looks fantastic. It's going to be fantastic.
There is so much dedication to your projects. You should consider to change your business to classic car restoration. There's a lot more money to make. Nevertheless I like these projects more...
Agree with other comments, no one else on UA-cam that I have seen is at this level. Most do half baked hack jobs and have over baked egos. Hopefully that axle seal just got damaged when you installed the axles, and it's not a concentricity issue. The FJ70 I bought had a spun rear axle bearing that was so bad, the axle seal wasn't concentric with the axle. Ended up machining a short axle stub to see what was going on, and it was just "slightly" off center. Used some JBWeld to build up the housing where the seal sits, and thank the Lord, she's leak free. I feel your pain brother.
You and your builds are bad ass! The FJ is absolutely beautiful! You'll get the bugs worked out. You are an inspiration Austin! Really enjoy all your videos!
You can add one limit strap in the center to keep both sides from drooping all the way at the same time, yet still retain all of your articulation travel.
Hi , your channel is amazing; I've never seen this type of car build before. We would like to promote part of your videos in some video/s report about your channel. We will add your link, your name, and your work will be mentioned in the video.
This brings me waaaayyy back. My father drove one of those when I was a kid. He worked as a farm inspector and livestock commissioner..took him all over our small island and for ice cream on the weekends.
I had an old truck I restored. I had to drive it to interior shop on milk crate. I fell off crate on way there (on freeway) and pulled Steering wheel to one side and did a 360 on the freeway. Came to a prefect stop facing the freeway (and in the middle) and everyone else stopped looking at me. Got up straightened out crate looked at everyone gave them a friendly wave and took off…
Whats the plan with that old 650 in the background?? I just finished up building mine out. I build custom length handlepoles for em if you're interested.
Man that was white knuckled! I like the beard fill in, the porno mustache guy had me cracking up! Are you going to try and build fenders for the read? Thats a tough call withe these FJs being narrow and then with one tons in them. You get there, home stretch now! No more porn guy mustache, unless you add 70s policeman mirrored sunglasses! lololol Looking great!
