Carolyn Talbot Yeah, he definitely had more cleanup to do, but like a dummy he still was trying to make them think she took off with an unknown friend (when he lamely presented her wedding ring, when he declared the blankies were gone, gah.)
I really think he could have a drawn out a much longer investigation if he had made it look like a suicidal type of disappearance. If he had said she was totally distraught after their “emotional conversation”, had made some alarming threats, had been acting weird for days, he could have sent them on a wild goose chase through all that construction area out back and beyond. But thanks to the fact he’s a moron as well as a pos AND for this friend’s intervention, the correct conclusions were immediately drawn.

Nick Emmannwori “dispatch” is the section of the law enforcement who send out backup/medical units/firefighters etc
When Chris heard the officer say “dispatch..” the reaction from Chris suggested he thought maybe the officer was going to say something like “send backup” or “extra units” or something to that effect, indicating that he might be getting arrested.

His wife was diabetic, but Chris’ body language was showing suspicion the entire time. It was clear he was almost trying to focus on staying “content” rather than worried about where his wife and children are.
Another thing I noticed, the policeman would ask Chris the same question in a different format minutes apart to see if his story was changing. He was being very strategic.

A similar explosion happened with Anadarko a year or so before his family was murdered. All he needed was for Nikki to not show up at his house when she did. Then he would have had time to come back home to get rid of her belongings at the house, throw those in the tank too, and set the tanks up to explode.
