We all try to imagine ourselves in heaven with our beloved Lord, how unimaginably more beautiful it will be and how many millions of redeemed people in heaven will sing these praises before the throne of our God? Our mind cannot imagine at all! AMEN!

O praise Him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! 2. Thou rushing wind that art so strong, Ye clouds that sail in heav’n along, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice! 3. Thou flowing water, pure and clear, Make music for thy Lord to hear, O praise Him! Alleluia! Thou fire so masterful and bright, That givest man both warmth and light. 4. And all ye men of tender heart, Forgiving others, take your part, O praise Him! Alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, Praise God and on Him cast your care! 5. Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness, O praise Him! Alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One!

Here is a briefing on this traditional hymn: The story of "All Creatures of Our God and King" is a beautiful tapestry woven from ancient roots and modern threads. Its origins trace back to the 13th century, when Saint Francis of Assisi, an Italian friar and mystic, penned the "Canticle of the Sun" (Canticum Fratris Solis). This poetic masterpiece celebrated God's creation, from the sun and moon to the earth and its inhabitants. Nearly seven centuries later, in the late 19th century, Reverend William Draper, a rector in the Church of England, discovered Francis's work. Inspired by its profound message of universal praise, Draper translated and adapted the "Canticle of the Sun" into English, crafting the lyrics we know today. The hymn's melody, however, has a more complex history. It is believed to be based on a traditional German folk tune, "Lasst uns erfreuen," which dates back to the 17th century. This tune, with its joyful and uplifting character, perfectly complements the hymn's lyrics. "All Creatures of Our God and King" first appeared in a hymnbook in 1919 and quickly gained popularity due to its timeless message and beautiful melody. Today, it is a beloved hymn sung by Christians of various denominations around the world. It serves as a reminder of our interconnectedness with all of creation and invites us to join in praising God, the source of all life.
I will never forget learning to sing this powerful hymn raising our hands in praise to our Lord at the Church on the Way in Van Nuys CA. (Foursquare Church) under the leadership of pastor Dr. Jack Hayford.
I first learned this hymn as a child in children's choir. Its soaring melody thrilled me then and still does every time I play it now for worship! Beautiful rendition!
This is actually the arrangement by which I learned this hymn as a chorister in the Texas All-State Choir back in 1979. I’ve loved it dearly ever since.
This is the best performance of this hymn I have ever heard. I wish my Episcopal friends all the blessings, from a Catholic friend :-) I play it quite often...
Strange thing, after a lifetime as a liturgical musician, I had turned my back on most things for these last three years. Self Pity. Listening to this makes me want to return.
Revelation 19 : ff / "After this i heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying, / 'Allelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, / for his judgments are true and just; he has judged the great ...'" (RSV)
Thankyou, this is beautiful! “Because you believe, others will know that I Live”. How powerful is that? Our mere belief in the Universal Force for Love can create Knowledge (first hand experience )in others! This knowledge of Love is infinitely more powerful than belief and is therefore impossible to deny! Bless you Friend

This one is much longer though. I think I like the Wilberg arrangement better as it's much shorter.

This hymn is called "Ye watchers & ye holy ones" in the 1940 Episcopal Hymnal. It is the best hymnal ever produced.
Written by William Henry Draper (Anglican Priest) based on a poem by St. Francis of Assisi. It was first published in a hymn book in 1919.
