I bought that exact same Buick kit in 1974 and mine was also molded in black. Take it slow. I just turned sixty five in May. I started going to the gym back in September and also lost twenty five pounds and i still ache from time to time. Yet I'm still under those cars and I'm retired. I have that same Rivi kit still sealed also. Thanks for opening it up. Now I know I'm leaving mine sealed! LOL! Guess i'll see if I can sell it at the next show here in Omaha. Take care of your health, it's the most precious thimg we have.

It does look like the same kit they put out in '65. The wide tires they added to this reissue might have been the only update they made for 1974. That and, of course, the decals and box art. Beautiful paintwork on the bikes! Love the flames and the candy paint in the sun.
Tim's bike looks amazing! Great looking paint. As for slowing down and getting older... if they ever find a fountain of youth, I hope they bottle it up and sell it. LOL
I'm not sure what year the kit is but there was a Kress Department store here in Savannah, Georgia back in the 70s to early 80s. You are correct that it was a five & dime store.
Cool looking kits I don't think I've ever seen a black cast either I seen white, tan, grey, and yellow the 63 is a cool kit need to save and repair it.
