I really don't know as I would have to do a comparison to give you an answer unfortunately.

Some of the one star ratings on Amazon giae me pause -- for example:
"Hardware is nice, but they require you to sync your medical data to their cloud. Given their terms of service, this is opt out, but there is no mechanism to opt out other than emailing them a cease and desist, which I did. They subsequently deleted my account rendering the device unable to connect to the smart phone without creating a new account and reagreeing to their policy. Complete Trash. I'm likely to return it."

I am not sure why you cannot decide what you want to do with your data. You should be allowed to save it on your phone or laptop and not in the cloud.

the thing i wonder is why people are so afraid of this... they have all kinds of data off of you from social media and what not which is far more valuable than your blood pressure results and y'all give it away all smiley and happy... just create an account with a disposable email (plenty of options around to use), random details and there you go... the device doesn't need your name, dob, social security number or whatever to give you a reading, just an account that's set up... random email+password123 kind of thing. it's not going to say your systolic pressure is 120 just because your name is andrew/20yo and tell you it's 130 if your name is john/25yo... that is to say that it's going to measure it as it is whatever name/details you have on the app. as i said: disposable email and random data/details. you know it's your readings and you know, hopefully, your own real name. if you don't need it then don't look for wifi/bluetooth enabled bp monitors as they'll all require an app and or account with "personal details" for syncing and storing results. it's a matter of convenience for those who need daily or almost daily records to show their doctors without the hassle of having to keep paper records and connect to things all the time to take notes (trust me, after a "few times/days" you kinda don't want to measure your bp just to not have to deal with some of the hassle, which these devices mostly mitigate), and not for the ocasional "i'm feeling different, let me measure my bp" casual users. the price of these devices kind of reflect it too... they aren't cheap compared to standard AA powered monitors without such features. there's plenty of tried and tested bp monitors out there that you can use offline with 0 data on you, good old pen and paper tracking devices (much more common/easier to find and widely available than these). they also save plenty of results in them (maybe 100, 100+) if you really don't want to type it down. all this to say, if you're coming for reviews on such devices it's because you looked deep enough to go past all the common models/types of bp monitors and arrived at this "niche" kind... these will all require such things/connections in one way or another.
