I have that exact kayak in my cart on Amazon right now. I'm thinking my daughter and I can go fishing in it and it would be a blast. Thank you for unknowingly "reviewing" it for us. I'm gonna pull the trigger on it before my next fishing trip.
It’s a solid inflatable kayak! Not meant for choppy or large bodies of waters. It’s essentially a large inflatable toy. But it’ll get you out there and you’ll have a blast.
Next time do a dodger in front of a night crawler it flashes fish, gives the bait lots of action and gets it down there also. I was also going to say to try ghee when frying fish in titanium cookware. Ghee has way more flavor than oil and has more non stick to it. It also doesn’t burn like butter!
I'm getting ready to do the Muir Trail with my two sons and we are really hoping to catch fish daily to help sustain our three week journey. Your videos are very helpful! If you got any specific tips we would be very grateful.
Ahhh I’m so happy to hear this!!! This time of year, bring a small container and a small bug net to catch live grasshoppers. Use a baitholder hook with a small split shot 12inches above the live hopper, and cast it out. A slow sink is what you want. These are almost a sure bet to catch trout up in the mountains. Otherwise, your standard spinners, spoons, or if you’re fly fishing, midge perdigons, black ant patterns (dry fly) will do great. Check out this website and navigate to the “map” section and find the lakes you’re traveling too. Steve Schalla (the one who created these maps) will likely have informative about the species of fish that live there, and what flies to use. 👇🏻 flyfishingthesierra.com/homepage.htm
Nice video! Sorry you didn't hook into that big brownie. Next time! Can you make a video showing the tackle you bring on trips of various lengths? I tend to being too much!😅 Tight lines, dude!
I used this 90 liter duffel bag that has back pack straps! 🙌🏻👇🏻 www.rei.com/product/177055/rei-co-op-big-haul-90-recycled-duffel?color=MOUNTAIN%2520MOSS
Good stuff Micah. You must have been there on a Wednesday. That's a drive up lake; that parking lot behind you (normally) is packed. The lake looks empty.
Awesome video! Especially impressive hiking that thing in there, those always seem to weigh a ton!! Sorry if you've answered this before, but what is that 5 ft rod you were using with the lures? I'm on the hunt for a shorter rod to compliment my 6'6 4 piece travel rod.
Brother micah! Loved you're latest on the kayak trip..wasn't it heavy ? Lol...also, is there disperse camping on the owens River ? I remember you slept in your car there in freezing conditions. Was it a campsite or ...I appreciate the info thank you .GOD bless
Name of the lakes? I'm on the western side of Lake Tahoe, so we have Jenkinson's, Echo, Wrights, Fallen Leaf lakes etc. Fishing Jenkinson's (Sly park) lake on a kayak today! Liked and subbed! Look forward to more videos!

Nice video, hope you catch onto a monster one day with that kayak. It’s fun I’ve done it.

Looks like you had an incredible adventure. May I ask what backpack you used for carrying the inflatable kayak?

Trout tacos on the trail
Is that in bishop ca
Why don’t you bleed the fish?
Generally on smaller fish I tend to not bother. I haven’t tasted a noticeable difference.
Please edit it out of the video when you get a snag instead of saying it's a big fish and wasting 5 minutes of the audience's time.
