Thank you. I just received American Bresse hatching eggs from a warm climate to our cool climate (TX to MI) and was looking to know how long they should be resting before going in my incubator. Thank you! I videotaped my unboxing on my channel. One has a hairline crack. Any particular warnings on why I shouldn’t try incubating? I never would my own but so excited on this new breed. Tossing feels beyond sad.
Last year I got goose eggs from Vermont (Gold Shaw Farm). I'm in Texas. They immediately went under my broody goose. I didn't have a gander. 5 goslings hatched.
How cool!!! That’s awesome knowing exactly who they came from and seeing their parents on UA-cam lol. That’s great! We usually use our broody silkies or muscovys to hatch eggs as well (usually not purchased eggs, but from our own flock) we had to try an incubator for the first time because we couldn’t let all these eggs go to waste! 😂
@@BockBockBouquet My ducks need CPS called on them. So I put 11 duck eggs in the incubator last night after it arrived. Some of the eggs are a bit older and I'm a newbie so a poor hatch rate is likely. I thought the geese were done for the season but found a goose egg a few minutes ago. It was not there yesterday. There is room so it went into the incubator. A predator took out around 15 hens. I only have 3 left. 3 roosters too. Anyway, I know several people I can get eggs from so next month I plan on hatching some chickens.
CPS 🤣🤣 Hatching is addictive! Almost as addictive as chicken math 😂 good luck with your hatch! We are trying to get ahold of some East Indies ducklings or hatching eggs right now 😁 right now we do not have any drakes besides our call duck drake so all our large heavy breed ducks that all go broody unfortunately their efforts are futile as none are fertile, wish they would listen when I tell them! haha we used to have mallards years back and they were as bad as bunnies as there was always a trail of ducklings walking around behind momma somewhere

I have a friend that sussefully hatched some cracked eggs that she repaired with candle wax. Just melt over to repair the crack
