Good vid. I’m getting a late start into anime but since rewatching Spirited Away after 10+ years and loving it even more I thought I’d give the whole genre a shot because it seems like it has a lot to offer.
Thank you for the different variety of recommendations. I really love fruits basket and durarara! It was really great to watch that, in addition to having Ouran or Full Metal to Death Note. I also remember you had mentioned "Noragami," "Wolf's Rain," as well as ugh so much more. Honestly if it weren't for you , I wouldn't have loved and appreciated anime like I do now. I also recently saw "Say I Love You," I agree that it was wholesome :) also "The promised Neverland" was something else. I really liked the art style of the darks and lights, the emphasis between who and what was there. (Like all of them, but you know what I mean? I don't know if I make sense) I saw that in the description you mentioned not a lot about Horror/Thriller/Psychological: I'm not sure if these titles would 'count' but here are some I think could work. "My Future Diary" "Angels of Death" "Tokyg Ghoul series" "Monster" "Perfect Blue" "Junji Ito: Collection" "Mushi-shi" "Strike the Blood" "B the Beginning" (Netflix Series) Also just as a non-genre specific, there is: "Shokugeki" (cause we all be hungry sometimes -like you used to say . You're on a 'seafood diet. Every time you see food, you eat it" "Himouto Umaru-chan" "Gakuen Babysitters" For this one it's a movie, but I remember when I first watched this...oof, my heart hurt "Hotarubi No Mori E." There is also "Wolf's Children," "The Boy and the Beast" is also a really good anime movie too. There are millions upon millions of different animes out there. I know the lists I've provided are super small; most you probably know. I really wanted to just say thank you for being my friend throughout my years of life. Ouran is a perfect show for someone starting to get into anime. It sucks you in with it’s satire and goofiness, but as the show progresses you see how much emotional depth it actually has. (Id recommend the dub over the sub)
@@Meimoons fruits basket has been my favorite anime since I was like 9 haha, I was going to recommend that one too but I got too lazy. I’ll check out the other one!

My top 3 animes are My Hero Academia Assassination Classroom Attack on Titan Pretty basic list but they're literally amazing, I've seen 67 animes now and those 3 haven't moved their spots since I started.
One Piece is also a great anime to watch. Although it is long, the plot never repeats and there are moments where the scene literally touches your soul. It might seem stupid, the whole "rubber boy who's gonna be the pirate king" but its actually very different than what you expect. Lots of amazing animation and character development :)

Honorable comedy mentions: Konosuba & Gintama Great video! I really liked how you broke it up by genre and based on what people are already into, sometimes it feels tough to think of a good gateway anime as I usually just go based off my own preferences
Here my recommendations (some of them she said in the video) To anyone who wants to cry, smile, gasp, and just be amazing by art, I recommend Your Lie in April. To anyone who wants a good plot and crazy smart stuff, I recommend Death Note To anyone who likes movies that cover serious topics but in a beautiful way, I recommend A Silent Voice Finally, to anyone who wants to feel the action, but not with superpowers, I recommend Haikyuu! These are all pretty popular animes and a lot of people recommend them, but I think they are really good starters!
plz the intro with the physics formula made me physically shake in realization that i have exams on nov2 the worst reminder but also, simultaneously, possibly the best
I would personally add Tokyo Ghoul in terror, if not the manga. Truly it had disappointing things but I overall enjoyed it. I’d also add Shingeki no Kyojin, simply amazing. Even though it’s about human-eating monsters, it’s very realistic and not everything goes as planned. Pretty intense too. My comfort animes are Haikyuu, great characters and comedic relief and very exciting matches since you know why it’s so important to win (you have the character’s backstories), and Hunter x Hunter. It puts a smile on your face, what else do you need? Great video!
And yes Promised Neverland is so good that it has the potential to become my fav anime......but the second season just totally spoiled it like totally.....I have read the manga and I highly recommend the manga .....it's way better than the 2nd season
I would also recommend assassination classroom, the quintessential quintuplets, rent a girlfriend, over the moon for you, I want to eat your pancreas, angel beats, Baka and test, konosuba, a jobless reincarnation, the 8th son really, juijutsu kaisen, Tokyo Revengers, and any studio ghibli movie
Yoooo ur drama list is literally amazing because I just watched Anohana like a week ago during school and I almost cried. Erased on Netflix and I almost felt like braking my tv. And Deathnote on Netflix and almost did the same thing
Trying to get into anime as I have watched a few and when you find a good one the feeling is unexplainable; adrenaline pumping reality shifting is all that comes to mind
I'm so glad you included Fruits Basket! It's beautiful, sentimental, and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster in every episode. I love me some action/sci-fi, but this is probably my fav anime of all time.
Underrated video, you're one of few anime fans with proper taste. I think there's too many dudes out there that only appreciate anime for the theme and really don't care what else happens, but you actually have really good taste. If you know any anime in the reigns of Steins;Gate, Death Note or Terror in Resonance, please let me know!

I started watching anime this past month and the first in I watched was Your Lie in April, which wasn’t on the list, but holy shit was it a good show. Most of these show are now on my watch list
If you liked Erased, PLEASE read the manga. The last two episodes are SACRILEGIOUS. The manga does a great job explaining the villain's background with a whole new part of the story that was completely cut out of the anime, and it just pains me how poorly written A1 pictures made it look.
I watched Death Note forever ago when I was a teen (I’m 24 now) but my girlfriend is in the process of watching the new season of Demon Slayer and I thought I’d get back into anime. I’m starting by finishing an anime I had started back in the day (Seraph of the End), and this guide really helped me out with choosing a direction to go in for my next anime! Thank you so much for this video!!
Trying to find an anime my parents would also enjoy. Was pretty successful with Erased a while back. I think it had to with how each episode kinda leaves you on a cliff hanger so who keep coming back for more. Alot of good recs, been looking for a new show hopefully one sticks

I really liked the art style of the darks and lights, the emphasis between who and what was there. (Like all of them, but you know what I mean? I don't know if I make sense)
I saw that in the description you mentioned not a lot about Horror/Thriller/Psychological: I'm not sure if these titles would 'count' but here are some I think could work.
"My Future Diary"
"Angels of Death"
"Tokyg Ghoul series"
"Monster"
"Perfect Blue"
"Junji Ito: Collection"
"Mushi-shi"
"Strike the Blood"
"B the Beginning" (Netflix Series)
Also just as a non-genre specific, there is: "Shokugeki" (cause we all be hungry sometimes -like you used to say . You're on a 'seafood diet. Every time you see food, you eat it"
"Himouto Umaru-chan"
"Gakuen Babysitters"
For this one it's a movie, but I remember when I first watched this...oof, my heart hurt "Hotarubi No Mori E." There is also "Wolf's Children," "The Boy and the Beast" is also a really good anime movie too.
There are millions upon millions of different animes out there. I know the lists I've provided are super small; most you probably know. I really wanted to just say thank you for being my friend throughout my years of life. Since if it weren't for you; alot of what I like and how I am...it was shaped by you. Thank you for being an amazing best friend with beautiful art to show both through a lens and on paper or even via digital. You continue to inspire me every day and bring a smile to my face. I hope you, your family, and Oreo continue to stay safe. Also I know you mentioned about trying to do a video either every day or every week in April. (And I know it's not April) but please try not to worry about whether or not you have to get to point A to point B in a matter of "x,y,z." Your health (mentally, physically, and emotionally) is our number 1 concern. Keep up the amazing work Sabrina, you're doing amazing! Love you Sabrino! * Cough cough * Team Kyo, Kyo for the win (buh buh buh , buhhh buh buh buh buh I was so happy when you smiled - Also side questions 1) how are you? 2) when you watch your animes - do you typically do subbed, dubbed, or does it depend? Since I know for Vampire Knight and Full Metal - Vic Mignona for Zero and Ed, then Soul from Soul Eater, then we also have Fruits Basket)
@@inakyu anytime :) keep up the amazing work ! Can't wait for more
I would recommend
Gintama
Saiki k
Blue excorsist
Inuyasha
Jujutsu kaisen
Is it wrong to pick up girls in the dungeon?
Soul eater
My soul was sold to anime when I watched inuyasha
i would definitely recommend inuyasha😌 i fell in love with it. it was so well made romance adventure idk what else but it was good
Take my like for InuYasha
Gintama still the beste anime hands down but its not especially for beginners
@@sabri3214 InuYasha shaped my love for anime and my standard to good storytelling. If you have a magical world with ongoing journey and complicated love triangle i'm always sold
My first anime was the promised neverland and its now my favorite and no other anime has lived up to it 😃
Then you Didnt watched Attack on Titan. Enjoy it
you have not seen many animes im assuming
The promised neverland is just👌🏼
DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND S2 😩
I guess you didn't watch DEATH NOTE
Ouran is a perfect show for someone starting to get into anime. It sucks you in with it’s satire and goofiness, but as the show progresses you see how much emotional depth it actually has. (Id recommend the dub over the sub)
Have you tried Fruits Basket or Wotakoi? You might like those if you like romance anime
@@Meimoons fruits basket has been my favorite anime since I was like 9 haha, I was going to recommend that one too but I got too lazy. I’ll check out the other one!
There is an anime called AOT
JUST FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION
fr tho dawg she casually skipped over one of the best animes in history
It’s trash
@@konvix1673 go and watch Dragon Ball z Kid
@@KS2005 that’s trash as well
@@konvix1673 then u r trash as well
THE VIDEO QUALITY IS SO GOOOD😭 u deserve way more views and subs❤️
Sports Anime when done well is my favorite genre and I will die on this hill, Haikyu and Run With the Wind are some of my all time favorite, also awesome video!
@@inakyu Watch Kurokos Basketball its amazing
Kuroko no basket def awesome
My top 3 animes are
My Hero Academia
Assassination Classroom
Attack on Titan
Pretty basic list but they're literally amazing, I've seen 67 animes now and those 3 haven't moved their spots since I started.
One Piece is also a great anime to watch. Although it is long, the plot never repeats and there are moments where the scene literally touches your soul. It might seem stupid, the whole "rubber boy who's gonna be the pirate king" but its actually very different than what you expect. Lots of amazing animation and character development
:)
avatar was my childhood show and I'm still a child so I can watch it again
the editing is perfect i love this video :0
Aah I'm watching Fruits Basket rn and boy do I love it! I feel like you can put it in the comedy, fantasy, drama and coming of age genre at the same time
Are you watching the original or the 2019 version
@@ariannaa1161 the 2019 version
This list was literally so well made and definitely deserves way more views
when you don’t recommend aot😢
aot made me stop weeb shaming and turned me into a weeb LOL
Weeb shaming what that
same tbh I was an anime anti HWJRHR
MHA was the anime that got me addicted
Same same...
My friend, who is obsessed with anime recommend this to me and ever since I have watched anime
For me it is Demon Slayer!!
@@Aethelhadas I love demon slayer tooooooo
@@maximemariaheilfortocampo7344 Is your favourite character Nezuko? Mine would be Zenitsu !! The craziest thing is it was my brother watching. I only watch along sometimes and I just got into it because of how good it is. Now I want to watch it all over again lol
I watched Clannad and Clannad: After Story last year in February.... and let me just say... OH MY GOD. THIS SHOW WILL DESTROY YOU WITH THE FEEELS!!! 😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔 The soundtrack is absolutely amazing.
Edit: please watch it. 10/10 ❤
Honorable comedy mentions: Konosuba & Gintama
Great video! I really liked how you broke it up by genre and based on what people are already into, sometimes it feels tough to think of a good gateway anime as I usually just go based off my own preferences
My first anime was death note.. Then aot.. Then one piece(manga and anime) .. And one piece is my fav ❤️
My first was silent voice, then MHA , hunter x hunter, Death note, now AOT I watched AOT in 3 days it was TOO good
You recommend host club to someone then remember the twins. I shouldn’t say anything it was my first and I always recommend it to friends (not family)
How do you only have less than 200 subs your production is amazing
Here my recommendations (some of them she said in the video)
To anyone who wants to cry, smile, gasp, and just be amazing by art, I recommend Your Lie in April.
To anyone who wants a good plot and crazy smart stuff, I recommend Death Note
To anyone who likes movies that cover serious topics but in a beautiful way, I recommend A Silent Voice
Finally, to anyone who wants to feel the action, but not with superpowers, I recommend Haikyuu!
These are all pretty popular animes and a lot of people recommend them, but I think they are really good starters!
I sobbed only three times watching a silent voice
I did, in fact, come to judge what you recommend lol, but you have the same taste I do! Really nice guide :)
I think for Adventure genre. I highly recommend "Vinland Saga".
YAS.
plz the intro with the physics formula made me physically shake in realization that i have exams on nov2
the worst reminder but also, simultaneously, possibly the best
I would personally add Tokyo Ghoul in terror, if not the manga. Truly it had disappointing things but I overall enjoyed it. I’d also add Shingeki no Kyojin, simply amazing. Even though it’s about human-eating monsters, it’s very realistic and not everything goes as planned. Pretty intense too. My comfort animes are Haikyuu, great characters and comedic relief and very exciting matches since you know why it’s so important to win (you have the character’s backstories), and Hunter x Hunter. It puts a smile on your face, what else do you need? Great video!
She had my respect until she didnt put jojo or attack on titan in any of the categories😤
Because everybody have watched
jojo is an awful gateway anime lmaooo. it's too much for people who've been watching anime for years, i can't imagine that being one of ur first anime
Hhahaha, Jojo as a starter? Hilarious.
Jojo is not for beginners.
Jojo is great for people who like dogs
And yes Promised Neverland is so good that it has the potential to become my fav anime......but the second season just totally spoiled it like totally.....I have read the manga and I highly recommend the manga .....it's way better than the 2nd season
I took you’re advice and my first anime was Fma and Fmab I will never forget this show in my life
I would also recommend assassination classroom, the quintessential quintuplets, rent a girlfriend, over the moon for you, I want to eat your pancreas, angel beats, Baka and test, konosuba, a jobless reincarnation, the 8th son really, juijutsu kaisen, Tokyo Revengers, and any studio ghibli movie
Yoooo ur drama list is literally amazing because I just watched Anohana like a week ago during school and I almost cried. Erased on Netflix and I almost felt like braking my tv. And Deathnote on Netflix and almost did the same thing
lol Erased and Death Note are my first two animes. I'm definitely gonna watch anohana now!
Trying to get into anime as I have watched a few and when you find a good one the feeling is unexplainable; adrenaline pumping reality shifting is all that comes to mind
Actually I am new and I've just heard about anime and was thinking to start one but I don't know where or how can I watch it 😬
You can also watch watch on *ahem* illegal websites👀 but ALWAYS TRY TO SUPPORT THE CREATORS. So we can get more seasons
I use 9anime it's all free just dont click on the ads it will probably give u a virus
I use twist.moe aka Anime Twist
Animedao is a good website
Animepahe
Trust me,
I'm so glad you included Fruits Basket! It's beautiful, sentimental, and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster in every episode. I love me some action/sci-fi, but this is probably my fav anime of all time.
I really appreciate how you compared them to non-anime movies/shows. That helped me make some decisions. Great video!
Anonana hit me with the feels, I cried the first 10 minutes of the first episode
I recommend Banana Fish, sobbed my damn eyes out
YES.
YAS.
The ending 💔
Ash 😭
For any beginners.
Just dive head first into the sports genre of anime
Oh yeah! Haikyuu got me attached to anime, and I'll never forget it.
When u said The devil is a part timer, I nearly cried. I'm so happy u recommended it. No one really talks about it.
Beginner or not choosing anime has always been a *daunting* task
This was so useful, trying to get into anime and currently watching MHA now have some options for next! BTW hi from the UK 👋
There are also so many Good romance anime. Maid sama, shirayuki, clanned e.t.c...But I think It's for the beginners. Thank you for your video 💜
I realized u're wearing that ace shirt and u HAD to choose that panel.....
I’m going to start watching these today I’ll update you with my progress as I finish each!
You're talking about the live-action Netflix version of Death Note, right?

@@marcebreo1547 Seriously?! It’s not that hard. She only named twenty three series! Literally anyone who watches anime has seen at least this much just over quarantine alone. Who are you to judge?!

Your genre vs. Anime recommendations are pretty spot on for me.
I want to watch anime for the first time. A lot of my friends want me too but I’m too stubborn so I’m gonna try. This is the same thing that happened to me with penthouse. I didn’t like it then after I watched it, I was OBSESSED with it
Hi Sabrina! I'm a fan of anime, but I've lost touch in recent years, now I'm trying to get back into the genre. Great video. I'm a brand new subscriber watching from London UK.
Super ready for TPN season 2 💗
Loved season 1 so far the season is disappointing
im obsessed because this is so accurate
I started watching anime this past month and the first in I watched was Your Lie in April, which wasn’t on the list, but holy shit was it a good show. Most of these show are now on my watch list
This is a legitimately useful tool, gonna send this whenever a newbie asks for recs
The more i watch anime the more I realize I'm in desperate need of romance lmao
I don't really see myself as a huge anime person but... I've seen almost all of these 😢
If you liked Erased, PLEASE read the manga. The last two episodes are SACRILEGIOUS. The manga does a great job explaining the villain's background with a whole new part of the story that was completely cut out of the anime, and it just pains me how poorly written A1 pictures made it look.
I've been watching anime for like 2 months now and I'm loving ittt
I watched Death Note forever ago when I was a teen (I’m 24 now) but my girlfriend is in the process of watching the new season of Demon Slayer and I thought I’d get back into anime. I’m starting by finishing an anime I had started back in the day (Seraph of the End), and this guide really helped me out with choosing a direction to go in for my next anime! Thank you so much for this video!!
DURARARA IS SO F*CKING GOOD ISTG PLEASEEE WATCH IT
u had me at microwave
I started watching anime with my hero academia
Omggg, I feel so bad for you, I sadly did the same.
Same, honestly the only reason I watched it was through a friend but now I’m a Weeb
@@samanthaplays7180 honestly i started watching because it was popular on the internet but I’m a weeb to
Trying to find an anime my parents would also enjoy. Was pretty successful with Erased a while back. I think it had to with how each episode kinda leaves you on a cliff hanger so who keep coming back for more. Alot of good recs, been looking for a new show hopefully one sticks
Have you ever seen Chrono Crusade?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrono_Crusade
I usually don't go into the horror genre but the way you described Devilman Crybaby got me interested.
I came back cuz now I’m bored I watched almost everything I’ve been on a binging spree

Girl, you owned me in the first minute with this OP T-shirt. And in the middle of the video i'm already subscribed. Loved all the recommendations and i would add some:
For the sci-fi/f*ck your mind genre: Neon Genesis Evangelion and Serial Experiments Lain.
And for the action/adventure genre: One Piece.
