Years ago I and 2 others were heading back to Wisconsin from an aimless road trip out west. It was rally time and we broke down on I-94 south of Sturgis. A state trooper picked us kids up and he was the coolest, nicest guy you could ever meet. He took us to a small town he lived in and hooked us up with a motel room for a great price. The owner husband guy went out to the interstate and got our car. We had a great evening talking about life and adventures. The next morning we all repaired the car together. Bad fuel pump and filter. Then by midday we all said our good byes and we headed home. I'm not a big supporter of cops but that one was to me what it's all about. Thanks again trooper!!!

Also love when the helicopter narrator somehow has prescient knowledge of the criminal and other people in the cars around them.
Some of the footage is training videos. In the top left corner, it says 'Police Training Video' or something along the lines of that. They usually have about 1-2 an episode, if any at all.

But what I think it comes down to is that a lot of criminals in Southern California in the 90s knew that if they ran from the cops they'd probably get on TV, and I'm not sure if this is true as well but I imagine a lot of them probably figured they were gonna go to jail anyway so might as well tack on a felony evasion charge

Watching this as a child back in the day really taught me to not fight with cops or do anything illegal, especially when it comes to driving hence why I don't drink alcohol to this day
The last man from South Carolina, ran from the law drunk, crashed repeatedly, drove in circles then hit a police car repeatedly. His license were suspended and fined $2,000.....are you freaking kidding..😵😵😵..i live in S.C., in 2005 I went thru a nasty divorce, the ex cancelled my insurance the day I left w/o my knowledge. I get pulled over, completely sober, and find out I'm driving with no insurance. My license gets suspended due to no insurance, I get taken to jail, $3,500 in fines, and had to pay $463 every month for insurance for 3 yrs. No wonder this state is so screwed up
Assault and battery that's made up charges you can't do that . That's a false arrest . The driver didn't make contact with the police officer , so there bogus charges that the cops can be sued .
