You actually have to explore them rather than being led by the hand to each story trigger, and the way you interact with the worlds makes them feel real and lived in, from the various science equipment in Deep Jungle to the size changing puzzles in Wonderland. I wish more KH games had the same focus on exploration and puzzles. Also, every Disney World meaningfully advances Sora, Donald, and Goofy's journey. In Wonderland they figure out the basics of saving worlds. In Olympus Coliseum they gain role models and learn to believe in themselves. In Deep Jungle their friendship is tested, broken, and reforged stronger than ever. In Agrabah they learn of the existence of the Princess Kidnapping Villains. In Atlantica they learn that the Keyblade's past is not a wholly benevolent one. In Monstro they realize Riku has become a villain. In Halloween Town they learn that the Heartless are controlled by those with strong hearts, and won't attack unless commanded, in fear of their lives, or driven to by darkness and/or the presence of an unprotected heart. Finally, in Neverland they confront Riku, learn Kairi is without a heart, and the strength of Sora's hearts is tested by pitting him against his own darkness.

Lol Birth by Sleep is my favorite. But it’s mostly because that was the first ever Kingdom Hearts game that I’ve ever played. So the BBS trio have a special place in my heart. That and I also like to choose them whenever I play Melody of Memory lol. 😄

KH1 was so hard for me as a kid I never finished it tbh. Birth By Sleep is a much needed back story with again tragic fates for everyone, great game. Recoded was a fun little game, I forget the story but I really had fun. DDD, only for Riku and it was a portable more modern KH game

I didn’t expect birth by sleep, a psp game originally, to be as good as it was when I first played it on the ps4 collection. The story kept me super engaged and the combat felt unique with it being more cooldown based and the addition to the keyblade transformations. I remember magic with Aqua being super op.

Honestly it's real for me because I'm also a gameplay over story kinda player when it comes to JRPGs in fact Final Fantasy 5 is my favorite FF game and among my favorite games of all time because of the gameplay being amazing despite the story not being as amazing as 4 and 6 were on the same system

One of Dream Drops most redeeming qualities is just how ostensively, and fantastically gay it was.
I didn't like the drop meter since you were forced to changed characters if you had no drop me nots right in the the middle of gameplay. Like boss fight wise for me :(

I didn’t expect birth by sleep, a psp game originally, to be as good as it was when I first played it on the ps4 collection. The story kept me super engaged and the combat felt unique with it being more cooldown based and the addition to the keyblade transformations. I remember magic with Aqua being super op.

Kh1 will never be better than 2 the combat is shittier and the camera is trash, you jump to a vine in tarzans world grab it and can still drop off because the game wants to be a bitch but it is still a good game for the story and nostalgia
@@cortlandprince6668 considering that my first game in the series was KH2 in 2008, and that I never got around to playing KH1 until 2017, and it STILL rose to become my personal favorite, I'd say it has a bit more than nostalgia going for it.
I know, KH2 is the best one in the series when it comes to gameplay, nobody can compare to it (or even some that should not even be compare like CoM) That's why i was ironic in my comment, because most of the times you don't see people say KH1>KH2. I personally enjoy way more KH1 compare to KH2 just for nostalgic reasons that's all.

Jokes aside, I do still enjoy the weird story of 2 despite it having its own flaws. Also the story wasn't quite insane yet and this was a time where you were allowed to introduce new series original characters outside of cash crab phone games. I'm sorry I'm not gonna let that go KH3. Recycled faces galore.
Honestly it's real for me because I'm also a gameplay over story kinda player when it comes to JRPGs in fact Final Fantasy 5 is my favorite FF game and among my favorite games of all time because of the gameplay being amazing despite the story not being as amazing as 4 and 6 were on the same system
