Because im bolt driver in Bucharest and here traffic is infernal i use motor protect once in a year at 70-80.000 km and it work very fine , engine is 1.0 tsi with 260.000km and runs like new
All Liqui Moly additives must have at least 500-600 km of driving conditions to "set up" . This means interchangeable applying heat a pressure for some time to properly bond to surfaces. I don't think it"s a good way to test those products"straight from the bottle " ... I personally use MoS2 additive in my Alfa Romeo 159 jtd for last 10 years with great results , i mix it with my 5w 40 engine oil on each oil change ; and especially in winter time i notice significantly lower engine noise and very stable idling at the first ( cold ) start in the morning ( i keep my car parked outside , no garage ) . Not to mention that the engine oil consumption is practically zero between oil change intervals ( 200 grams at 10.000 km of tough urban conditions ) and it has pretty high mileage ( 450.000 km or 280.000 miles ) ... I assume that ceratec and motor protect ( as the newer additives ) should provide even better results ( especially they are compatible with last generation engines with higher eco standards )
In my 50 years of driving, I've never found an oil additive that "works". I have to call Snake Oil on all of them. Change your oil on schedule and your engine will last. I have a 2002 Highlander with 285,000 miles, still runs like new.
@@sotocflorin1993 The evidence is all anecdotal together with confirmation bias. There is no scientific evidence to show any of these additives actually "benefit" the engine in any significant way (versus cost), otherwise everyone would be using it.
this test must be repeated with temp at 100 deg ... like with castrol 5w30 ... that was fantastic overkill result this is mediocre ... please make this test at 100 deg

Very good low friction , bright and shine surface.
Motor Protect requires heat to bond with the material. That test is not meaningful.
