This fall, my girlfriend, on her Morgan and me on my mule, rode that road and couldn't reach the Pond due to that large tree you so nicely cut up. That trip is a lovely ride and we intend to do it again in the spring. So enjoy your videos. For me personally, I love the view from the driver's seat, and never tire of it. Thanks for allowing us to go along!
I've just added another prayer for Brenda. Get well soon! And may I say how calming it is to hear Jim's voice while watching two beautiful tails swish back and forth. Thank you.
It's quite easy to see why you prefer horses to tractors. It's relaxing watching, over your shoulder, the horses walking along and the only the natural sounds generated by them. Therapeutic, I think it's called, very relaxing.
This is always a beautiful ride taking the hunters to and from their destination. I've watched this trip ever since you started the channel! I remember how worried Baron was last year. The hunters in their camouflage clothes seemed to scare Baron. If I remember correctly, you didn't bring Baron on the trip to bring the hunters back out since he was so worried going in! Brenda, please rest that painful leg so it can heal. If it's sciatica, that's slow to heal. I will keep you in prayer and ask Jesus to heal that strained muscle.🙏 Thanks Jim for an enjoyable ride!
Jim,h h thank you for taking us along on the trip to deliver the hunting group into the pond. I hope Brenda recovers shortly with her leg issue. That's quite walk into the pond for the hunters balancing the canoes and gear. . I like your idea of utilizing a farm wagon and building a racks to carry the canoes and the gear. Baron and Earl performed admirably on their 10 mile walk back and forth. . I hope the hunters have a satellite phone with them in case of an emergency.
I loved the ride and admire Baron and Earl. I hope Brenda is feeling better soon. Rest might be good for a leg injury. Thank you for a wonderful video.
I always look forward to this trip. Prayers for Brenda's healing. I'm sure you missed having her along for the trip. You filled the time quite nicely with the scenery and your answers.
Prays for Brenda. Jim, I enjoyed the trip and thanks for answering about throwing the reins on the horses back. I received the calendar today, beautiful. Thank you for all you do.
Really enjoyed this walk in the woods. My fav time of year, after levels fall, so I can see into the bush. So many ridges, gullies creeks etc. it’s so entertaining. Baron and Earl are looking good. Love the sound of the jingle jangle of the harness and cart. No doubt there would not be an animal within earshot of the jingle 😂. All the best for Brenda. Hugs 🇨🇦
Jim you are getting plenty of alternative suggestions regarding canoe dollies .#1 show how you truck your fore cart ( and leave there for the week ). #2 show large locked steel gate at parking area (and how you and hunters get around it )#3 show how hunters haul their canoes and gear to parking site . Just my opinion but you maybe trying to fix a small problem .One canoe tips over ,nothing broken and 5 mins to repack .So co clusion you and the hunters have a good system now .😊😊😊
I really enjoy your trip with the hunters. I hope no one is disappointed in your adventure doing this; it is very entertaining to us. Thank you. Will be waiting for Friday.
Hey Jim I remember when I worked for the DEC in the 80s 90s when the team of horses did the same horse hunting trip that you are doing for the hunters We had a major event with the teamster And they called me to help the horses get round up and feed them Intill the family got there
Wishing Mrs. Brenda a speedy recovery 🙏…… also, I must commend you! Jim! Earl is turning out to be a very nice horse! He looks like he’s coming along very nicely. I feel certain Duke will come along just as well….. he seems to just need a little more time to get his confidence! Thank you very much for taking us along with you on this trip
Jim Gov Nelson Rockerfeller passed the fore ever wild act . There are many videos explaining why.look them up , if you have time . Yellow Birch veneer logs have great value . Love your videos . Charlie
Jim, This is such an educational video. You did a great job explaining so much I never knew about. I found the fire road of great interest and I'm glad you explained it. Thank you so much. My prayers for Brenda's recovery. 🌹,❤🩹,🙏
Thank you for a beautiful meander through the woods, what a lovely day with the sun glinting through the few leaves left. I'm so sorry to hear Brenda is suffering, she such a gentle lady its such a shame she is in pain, I hope she recovers very soon.
Jim- looks like a great fall day to see the wild forest, left standing. Baron and Earl enjoy the walk. Great yearly event. Being prepared is always a good feeling- Earl is doing great- John
I was hoping you would film this walk in the woods with horses and hunters. I liked it. Will miss Brenda. She needs a break. Beautiful weather, Beautiful day. Beautiful woods. Beautiful horses. Wonderful teamster. Thanks for the trip. Now please tell happened to the horses of Jim who died???
Jim just a suggestion .I am not a hunter , but wearing hunter orange while hiking during hunting season seams like a good idea . The 2 ladies especially .😊
It is always great to go on this trip with you hope you take us along to bring the hunters home nice place to go over night camping with the horses thanks again Jim
HI JIM......WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A TRAIL RIDE THRU THE ADIRONDACKS......I didn't realize it was so up & down making for quite an arduous trip for both horses & humans! Thanks for taking us along.......missing Brenda though! Glad you answered the questions about "Pansy" and William........I didn't put those questions in my comments, but they were on my mind! Prayers to Brenda & Blessings to you ALL at the FARM....😊❤😮❤😊
Wow, those canoes were sure loaded to the 9's. Good thing the water was smooth or they may end up bailing. I think the horse section would be almost my favorite part of that hunting camp.
The boys are doing a great job So sorry to hear Brenda has that leg problem You know I love the Belgians and you are going to have some great teams with the Suffic Punch cross I love the Percheron as well Will keep Brenda in my prayers Thank you for the videos God bless
Baron and Earl did a great job. I am praying Brenda healing. I have to say I sure loved watching Ken and Buck at the horse pulls they made a great team. But, right now you have more horses then you need.
Thank you for your videos. A comment: I had a horse for about a year. He was thought to be part Clydesdale because of the white feathering on his lower legs. When I picked up his feet to clean them, I would lean a little bit against him, and this put him a tiny bit off balance, and he always picked up his feet. This worked for the back feet too.
What a beautiful day for a walk through, the woods! Reminds me of our woods on our farm in PA! Hope Brenda is feeling better! Thanks for the ride today! Enjoyed it! ❤
Hi Jim, Hope Brenda gets over her leg injury soon, and back to doing the stuff she enjoys doing. She is a great assistant in making the podcasts when you guys are out and about.
Sorry to hear about Brenda and will keep her in my prayers as I do for the Gordon Family. Baron and Earl did a great job as what a beautiful day to be in nature. God bless you Gordon Family ❤️❤️🙏🐴🐴
😂Many sincere 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻’s to Brenda for a speedy recovery. To your comments, sustained forestry management would benefit the woods, and the income to the State would be a bonus. .
When I watch your videos about being in the woods with your horses, I begin to fantasize about living during the time when that’s all you had to use. No modern devices, no phone, no TV, just relying on your own abilities.
I loved this video. I no longer live close to wonderful wild woods like these, so this nice leisurely walk through the woods brought back some great memories. I hope Brenda gets relief from her injury and a speedy recovery.
I love how you take such good care of all your animals. But I think I saw Baron limping a bit on his left rear leg around the 47:30 - 47:55 time mark. Or maybe not... 🤷♀️ Also, lots of prayers and virtual hugs to Brenda! I hope she recovers soon!
You remind me of my grandpa, who was a diary farmer in Wisconsin. My family, both sides Mom and Dad go back a long way. My Dad’s side, whom you remind me of, goes back to 1771 in the U.S. and my Mom’s goes back to the 1820s, and the family still has the original 100 acre farm in Wisconsin it’s, 160 year old farm. Love your channel, thank you ❤❤❤
They need an old boat trailer with a rack built on it o hold the canoes They could load up at home and pull it to the rendezvous point and you could hook it behind and go !
It would be interesting to have Jim rank his horses and get his opinion on how the younger horses are developing. I think based on my many views of the channel that both Baron and Earl will be the top team despite their young age
Enjoyed the ride and chat! It's very relaxing hearing your voice and calm horses. I agree, I think a canoe wagon or some kind of canoe rack that can be put on the wagon, or sled would work, makes it easier for them and you and no more run away canoes. Prayers to Brenda!
I really enjoyed this video, Jim. My dad had a team and us kids would go to the woods with him on weekends to gather winter firewood with a running gear wagon.. Then the neighbors would help with buzz sawing it up for our heat for the winter.
PG here, I very enjoyable buggy ride through the mountains. That was relaxing. I cannot wait until we go Friday to pick them up. I know the video will come out another day. I was playing with words.
The Redheads are looking good! Back in the day… canoes were loaded on wagons and hauled up the rivers or wherever, for hunting or fishing. Jim , you might rig a wagon to carry several canoes and gear. Maybe just a flat floor would work? I have seen some good pictures of horse drawn wagons loaded with canoes… maybe at the museum in Blue Mountain? Well worth a visit. Really enjoyed the trip through the woods with you and “The Boys!” Could you load the horses side by side and carry the cart in the trailer ?
Jim, I know you don’t think you’re much of a talker, but this was very enjoyable!
Jim takes such good care of his horses
I enjoyed the ride with you Jim, I wish Brenda could have made the trip. Hope Brenda heals quickly I’ll be praying for her stay safe God Bless!!!
Thanks for bringing us along on a very peaceful episode.
Brenda, hope you’re feeling better soon. Keeping you in my prayers. This was a beautiful video. Loved seeing Baron and Earl.
Hello how are you doing
Jim, I'm sorry that your bride wasn't up for this trip. Of course, I'll keep y'all in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for letting us tag along.
I remember you doing this last year. I will definitely pray for Brenda.
Hello how are you doing
Did you notice Earl's tail. From time to time the sunshine made it the colour of copper. Beautiful.
Yes! I love all of the horses, but i really like Earl's color.. Jim, can people ride horses on these fire roads?
This fall, my girlfriend, on her Morgan and me on my mule, rode that road and couldn't reach the Pond due to that large tree you so nicely cut up. That trip is a lovely ride and we intend to do it again in the spring.

Jim a friend has a 4 canoe rack that sits on a snowmobile trailer.Something along those lines would work behind your forecart.

A wagon with a ladder rack type apparatus for the canoes, and the men and equipment could ride also.
