Everybody’s domiciliary care experience is different, my client houses are far from each other, I need one or two buses to get to each client house and a 10 min walk from bus stops to there houses.
I also love dorm care only if I hv a care but I can’t without a car unless
I love the freedom in dorm care

Weldone gurl...I recently received a COS as a domiciliary carer am still in Nigeria though anf I have completed Florence and work voluntarily in a care home here in Abuja...its alot I must say but am very optimistic and made up my mind to flex through it regardless of all the bad news about dommi AC.
I have my int.drivers licence and intend to buy a car when I arrive ..

Please tell for domicillary if have driving license but how many months can do my job without my own car.... Is it necessary to buy own car??
Not compulsory but you might need it if the distance is alot
Hope you know you can request for your IHS refund if you work in health n social care for at least 6months?

My curiosity led me here, must you drive as a dom care worker ? Cos all of the job adverts has to do with you being able to drive
Yes you have to drive is just a pity if you don't know the route and can't drive and driving here in UK isn't like Lagos or Nigeria

I don’t go in o.. I call the office until the pet is put away

You can do it! There is no magic to it,it’s hard at first but it keeps getting better when u get used to the area or the clients just be optimistic and look out for positivity only.. I wish you all the best😚
