All you have said is nothing but the truth. I work as a senior carer and the company frowns against every point you have raise especially on double up call. I also don’t hesitate to call the office when it comes to administering medication. I better call a hundred times and verify the medication then to give the client a wrong medication.

I have noticed so many changes in health care over the years and these are valid points and to always show respect to the person you care for and being in their homes.
However I cannot cope anymore with just how stressful the job was getting and soon there will be hardly anyone wanting to do the job at all due to just what people complain about as it feels like at times there is always something wrong and I lived in a regualr state of anxiety as not feeling I can do right for doing wrong. Professional boundaries are so important in this field . I used to double up calls by myself when it suited the company. Through the pandemic working all the hours god sends and then coming home and having a phone call from the boss saying the family complained about how a towel was folded or something. I was so on edge all the time as I now realise some people just due to not liking you will do and say some pretty mean things to get you sacked
