  • The Honeywell DH70W 70-Pint Dehumidifier is the best dehumidifier i've ever owned. It removes up to 70 pints of water from the air per day, and has 3 different ways to dispose of that water.
Watch the video to see the unit's simple operation and convenient drainage options.
This unit was provided by JMATEK North America (an exclusive Honeywell dehumidifier distributor and manufacturer) in exchange for a product demonstration. All opinions are mine.

*We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*

Jared, assuming you kept this unit, how is it holding up now? Any issues?

Hey Jared, we need info on a HONEYWELL model HDK070 2016. I've been trying to get info for the past 2-3 hours. I'm soooo frustrated as we need it for the basement floor cracks that are letting in water as we speak. I can't find a dehumidifier 70 that has the same control panel as ours. New in 2016. Thanks sooo much.

I've had nothing but problems with mine. Jmatek has sent two missing items and now it has an EH (faulty humidity sensor) and they are refusing to warranty it because I bought a scratched and dent version from Amazon. I would steer clear from this one.

Glad you had a good experience - nice explanation of features (if they work). When I received my Honeywell dehumidifier the Auto Drain Pump Cap was broken where the hose attached. Also the Drain Pump never came on when selected - the Water Tank just filled up and unit turned off. Three calls to the phone listed gave me instructions that did not help at all. Next call I was told to call Honeywell. I called three more times, after long hold asked for call back - nothing in over a week now. Finally was told to mail the init back to NJ (at my expense). Asked if there was a service facility near Dallas - told that they had no service other than in NJ. Why should I have to pay a small fortune to ship a unit received faulty. Will never buy Honeywell again - terrible customer service. Was also told by a former engineer for Honeywell that they had terrible customer service as well as poor employee relationship.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. Honeywell should stand by their product, or not make them at all!

Thanks for the shots. Next time a close up shot on the label with the technical specs would help a fellow nerd.

That power on/off feature. If you set it to 40%, will it constantly try to keep it at 40% which means it would very often turn on and off or it would give some humidity slack and then kick in?

I don't know exactly how the humidity controller works. From my experience rooms don't change humidity rapidly if they're closed off from the outside. Once the unit hits the setpoint and shuts off it doesn't keep coming back on right away. That tells me it does give it some slack. Most temp/humidity controllers operate this way by overshooting one way or the other.

in winter times maybe good thing to have air heating feature in dehumidifier ... ?

How do you set the humidity to 45% and not use the timer.ICan you do that and will turn off when it gets to that level. It is in my craw space.

Once the machine reaches your set humidity it will automatically turn off. It will turn back on if the humidity level rises again repeating the cycle

Yes, I still use it in my basement every day. It works great and doesn’t smell bad or anything.

Is it quiet enough to have in a large bedroom?

Too bad you didn't talk about the noise level because this is probably one of the most important if not the most important thing to talk about

Only problem is once is nasty inside, on the coils etc, you can't clean it. Then it starts smelling swampy, even with a clean tank
