Hubdoc is an amazing tool! Another huge plus - it helps to store documents digitally, which is required by tax office! Thank you for a great video

Hey there- do you know why the VAT code that's automatically populated in Hubdoc isn't the same VAT code that gets imported to Xero?

Can I ask a silly question? What is the benefit of using hubdoc with say QuickBooks? I thought that you could now snap your receipts in QuickBooks and assign them to an expense? Am I missing something? Sorry I’m a little new to digital record keeping! 🥴

Depends where you live. That service is not available in Ireland for example

@@devidoitalia No, I had to use Dext to do it. It's got to do with the fact that Ireland is a small customer base for QB, so not enough custom to warrant whatever work was required to make it available in Ireland. I've moved to Xero now so I have Hubdoc

@@catherinelynch660 oh that’s such a pain for you! 😤. Can I ask, do you find xero easier to use? I’m just starting out finding my way with qb but I’m finding it all so confusing!

    • @catherinelynch660

@@devidoitalia I'm just starting out with Xero and there are aspects of it that are not as intuitive as QB. Of all the packages I think QB is the easiest for someone new to digital accounts, and that's what it's designed to be. I did accounts old school, so I was also new to using a package. There are pros and cons with every package, but QB have good customer service, you can get answers quickly through the online chat. The knowledge of staff is basic though, so anything involved may be harder to solve. Dext made using QB even easier, I don't know what that service in QB is like. Our accountant set up Xero for us, and tbh I'd have been lost setting it up, whereas QB was much easier. You can invite your accountant to QB too, and let them set up the basics so that you have fewer things to redo down the road. Hope that helps.
