I could think of a couple countries that would love to have another completely unstable country less that 900 miles from the United States. You guys are doing fantastic work, thank you for sharing your story.

Can Haiti ever change, seriously? You can help them but can they deliver for themselves? Just being real here.

You should listen to Dennis Burnstine of Flashpoints interview members of Haiti Action Committee and learn about how the US keeps supporting Haiti’s dictators. President Aristide implemented a program which was reducing hunger and increased the national literacy rates but he made the mistake of trying to dissolve the US trained Military. The CORE group (USA,FRA, CAD) made sure that didn’t happen and helped instigate a coup.

Iraq gave me ptsd, the first week of search and rescue after the greensburg ks tornado finished me off you might say. This is a thing indeed.

We as US have been helping them since 1914.
And every time we built their infrastructure and helped they destroyed it all.
    This is all well documented.
Why do we need do help anyone anymore if they absolutely can't help themselves with all tools given!?

He's 100% right. 9:54 I was a part of JTF Leeward Islands, and that was alot more difficult for me and my team. The middle east is torturous for American service members, but there's nothing like watching hundreds of people pass away, and there's nothing you can do about it. Just gotta keep handing out food, water and clothing.

Fanmi Lavalas, a people’s party of Haiti, commemorates the February 29, 2004, coup d’état that overthrew Haiti’s first democratically elected president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide

So with those arms coming in..... does anyone else think a foreign entity might have an interest in having their own private port in the Carribean? this reminds me of a story I heard years ago & I might have the details a little off but basically Iran had been funding a rebel group in the mountains of another middle eastern country (sorry, I forget which) and no one could figure out why. The group had been operating independently of the rest of the country, didn't seem to have any political alignment or natural resources. Why would they give them money? Turned out they wanted the location for landing and refueling their planes. I guess it was much cheaper/easier for them to fund a rebel group that would hold and secure the land in exchange for a place Iran could basically use as their own airbase. Not sure if it panned out, but I could definitely see a scenario were a foreign power funds the gangs in Haiti until they are stable enough to secure an entire port..... and then that power could dock and refuel ships whenever it wanted without oversight. I know they mentioned Kenya & I believe them, but is it possible the arms are coming from somewhere else?
Regardless of what is happening, I do pray for peace and stability in Haiti. They've gone without it for so long.
Great interview! Love your channel & your guests. I learn so much, Thank You.

You know, this is a great opportunity for Haiti to become the 52nd state. Or 53rd.
It doesnt matter to me. But I would love to be able to visit Haiti without a passport.

Any one interested in what Haitians think about what is happening in Haiti should search Haiti Action Committee. If they are not going to talk about the US support of the dictator Papa Doc Duvalier or the coup when the president tried the disban the US trained Haitian military than this interview is lying by omission.
    Long Live the LAVALAS movement!

@@clintmerz5727 yes u r correct. The Vatican is giving the illusion of communion, but we should really consider the thievery. Haiti’s large natural resources are valuable. Kenya aristocracy r willing conspirators. So in a nutshell this consortium, who’s all corrupt.
