Oh yes for sure it is a lot different. This is a verse by verse exposition of the Scripture. Very in depth compared to the SB, it’s not hard to understand, but very through. It reads like a devotional( in a good way) if that makes sense. BTW if you enjoy the MacArthur study Bible you will love his individual commentaries.
