Did I Loose My Spot? (Grand Mesa Agates)

It’s that time of the year when we go up to the Grand Mesa to view all the fall colors and end the day hunting the Grand Mesa Carnelian Agates. There is one issue this year.. the location I had saved was deleted and we try to relocate it and then look at the few agates we did manage to find. Not all rockhounding trips work out.

Well now you know what not to do! Never put all your eggs in one basket! And for fish sakes, write it down! Don't rely on digital forms of saving information; what happens if a sub burst happens and all digital goes down? Pen and paper backup is always a good idea. Get a blank spiral notebook and write all your information about each location, and you will always have a backup! Other than that, it was great seeing you out and about and now it's too darn cold for that crap! So I hope you found enough material to last you the winter because the snow is coming if it hasn't hit you yet! And those carnelian agates are pretty, but I don't think they are going to last you the winter! And the winter means no saw time either! So get all your cutting done now too or bring your saw inside before it freezes solid! Like it did last year! Lol!

GPS the location. Be old fashioned too write it down & take pictures of landmarks.
