I remember performing in front of kids my age when I was in drum corps, like when we went to high schools and I was still in high school. Made me feel great.
I’m so disappointed they cut out that beautiful melody at around 1:27 later into the season, but after seeing the drill for that year, I can see why they might have done that.
As a DCI member loved doing these events like this and inspiring younger members. I marched 1993 Bluecoats as a top 12 but I got my start at Crown that year who was not in the top 12 at that time, and was later allowed to move up to the Bluecoats. I will always be loyal to Crown. Keep up the work by inspiring and letting dreams happen. Because of the leadership at Crown I was able to move to a top 12 corps that year. I will never forget that and never forget what I learned at Crown. LOUD IS BETTER.
I stumbled over (your) clip in a hornline-in-the-lot mashup a while back, and the DM is a döpplegänger for my daughter during her high school DM role / Phantom Regiment DM camp 15 years ago. The subject came up today, and I searched out your clip. I immediately knew that it was no coincidence that you are a Witnessing Brother in Christ. What you did years ago, here, for whatever your reasoning, by posting this, a scenario of Believers drawn together emerges, by His Design. Outstanding! Godspeed, Jondavid.

Its my rookie year in dci. I'm a freshman. I get to possibly do this but with people (basically guaranteed to be) older than me
@@macerunner4674drum corps as a freshman is crazy bro
Holy Crap! So many moving parts...this is just amazing! I can listen to this time after time! Beautiful! In my mind...

I love how all the countermelodies are perfectly layered.

This camera picks up the contras so well. And they kinda steal the show at 2:16 haha
except they aren't contras
Keem Osabe
Contra sounds cooler than tuba.
but it doesn't make it true or accurate
@@keemez umm what makes you say that? Those are most certainly Yamaha contras
because it isn't a contra. it's a tuba. a contra by default would be keyed in G, not Bb
That kid in blue is in love lol

What piece of music is this? I must find the sheet music XD
It's based on a british brass band piece called Vitae Aeternum by Paul Lovatt-Cooper
@@Suiram1 Thank youuuuu! Listened to that piece and it is exactly the right music.
@@Suiram1 that’s why this piece sounds so familiar 😱. My( high school) band played a modified version of it in our 2018 show at San Antonio
