Many thanks for the vids and information, saves me tons of time. On the drivetrain stage of my RCLB build, watching these convinced me to run 6 lug, byproduct of that is better wheel selection so I can move up to 22s and discs all around. Cheers!
I dig the wheels the truck is clean as hell but some reason I can’t bring myself to do the 6 lug conversion on my obs mainly because I have 5-6 sets of wheels for my truck hahah but my favorite is my rallies off a c10 and I know there is rallies for the 6 lug ... anyways you are one of the very few I have seen on UA-cam that actually takes time and pride to clean everything
Thank you I appreciate the compliment I was going for a different look but still stock if that makes sense.... and yea that’s a tuff one u have a lot of wheels !
Nice video bro just subscribed lots of good info in this channel 👍 quick question for you would these c2500 rotor work with c1500 drop spindles? or they only fit the stock spindle? Any info would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽
I wonder if this can be done to convers my 84 C20 crossmember from 8 lug to 6 lug. It is for my 72 Blazer 4x4 to 2wd conversion. I want to keep the 6 lug wheels.
Hey bro, I wanna do this same conversion on my 97 c1500. It's stock height. If I were put oem 16" alloys with, say, 245/75/16s, would there be issues with front tire rub on tight turns? Or would the locks still stop them from turning too far
I believe you have a 14 bolt 2500 or 3500 this would not work for this application axels are different length and spline count and drums are different too .....it might be possible but I don’t think so 🤔
I also converted my Obs to 6 lug and have the transport wheels on a 5/8 drop but my tires bottom out on my inner fender splash shields .What did you do to the front fender inner wells. Did you tub them?
What tire size u running and what drop are going to put on that truck ?. I got a OBS that’s 4/6 dropped, I want to go with a set up similar to yours but am worried about turning issues . Any info would be great . Thanks
Tire size is a 255/30/R22 and it’s a 4/7 drop but the front is coming down just to even it out and I have hi jacker air shocks In the rear when all the air is out it’s about 9” drop in rear. I’m waiting for parts to do the front a video will be up soon !
I need your help bro. I have a 91 silverado my rear is a 6 lug due to a diff. Swap , my front rotors are the “stocks”5 lug. Would your method work on my truck because im going to slap some 6 lug rally rims
Yes 👍🏼 it will work try it out all the parts needed in the description box you will need different spindles for your application you need c2500 spindles
These spindles will not work on mine. I don’t have ABS. My bearing seems to be smaller and won’t fit on that rotor. Do I need to run different bearings?
Yea let me know how it works out I know that axle in general is to long side to side but I have seen guys do it and they all rub after installed thanks for watching
@@LowLifeYonkes It’s a 91 gmc. It’s also 4x4 which is the reason that it has 6 lugs. I’ve decided to keep the 4x4 and throw a Ls in there and do some 4x4 launches, but I want some old school 90s wheels
Sorry I was afraid you would say that no you can’t do that the back axel swap will work it’s just the front you can’t switch it over only 2 wheel drive no 4x4 for the front.... u would have to do some research and figure that one out .... I know OBS 4x4’s come in 6 or 8 lug I don’t think there is a 5 lug at least for OBS truck older C-10 might work but u need to research that ... thanks for the question !!!
So basically when you fill out the order form you will only have to measure the flange diameter of the 6 lug and the length of the 5 lug to make it work? everything else is the same on both axles?
Great work but can you turn up the volume on you talking and turn down the music on all your videos can't hear you unless I turn it way up then the music blasts on Thank you keep up the great work

Where 91 6 lug fit a 2001 6 lug on up it's been changed over not but it's a 91 6 lug in my trucks a 2006 lug I'm trying to ask someone and nobody I asked you don't know
Thanks I appreciate it I've been wondering so I'm going to get it got a set of rims I've looked at I want to buy to put on my truck because God I appreciate it thank you
Arfe hte rotors 1" or 1.25" im trying to slam mine and swap to 6 lug but the kit i want ask for a specific rotor says v6 has a 1" rotor and v8 has 1.25" but other places say that only the 454 chevy had 1.25" rotors
The rotors are for different years I believe it’s 88-92 takes the 1” rotor and the 93-98 takes the 1.25 if ur going 6 lug u need the 93-98 and it’s easier to search for drop spindles and rotors for a c2500 light duty
Now i'm gonna have that girl singing "all my dreams come true" in my head all day. Nicely done on the lugs.
