It's 1987, you're at the clothing section of Sears. This song is playing softly in the background on low bass speakers. You're bored, but soon your parents will take you to the toy store on the upper level. Life is good.
Yes! Don't know how, but this song crept into head today, so here I am. Man, I was 7 or 8 when it came out. It was a great time to be alive. Can't say the same about this adulthood bulls**t.
I love the airy and light interior design of the hotel. I miss when places looked 80s like that (into the early 2000s), much better than the depressing dark earth tones now.
@@bulaluigi hmm, yeah I guess most people designing these places in the 80s were boomers, while it's late Gen X and Millennials (90s kids/teens) designing stuff in recent years
Yes ... Bad Boy has that evening glow thats really heartwarming to hear, MSM's best song .. next best would be Falling In Love (uh-oh).. Gloria Estefan has some equally great solo hits too, like Words Get In The Way ...
This song should have been in the first Bad Boys movie. The movie being set in Miami would make sense to have Miami Sound Machine and the title track be part of the soundtrack.
Today there is tsunami of people with rubbish tattoos and bottoxed bodies. Unfortunately no matter how many tattoos they will put it will not raise their self esteem for long. We are moving towards the end of humanity. NO values, no morals, ultimate greed, artificial smiles, fake friendship, fake online friends. That what happens when salesmen, psychopaths run the show for too long. IN schools they do not teach critical thinking so not many people are wise enough to see this.
I agree. Granted, I was too young to know what might've been happening in the world, but everything seemed pretty chill.. And my parents were 15 years younger than I am now. I still live like I'm 25 because I never settled down or whatever and the whole thing messes with my head.
I totally agree! The 80s aesthetic is incredible, full of vibrant colors and a unique style. And the Miami vibe is perfect! It's impossible not to feel nostalgic when you see this.

I don’t think most people fully understand Gloria’s contribution and significance to the Hispanic (that’s was the term most used during that era) community and for bilingual Hispanics of that generation. Her songs and voice are timeless but also she made it ok to be mainstream and speak Spanish, I’m a Mexican-American but I will always remember relating to her music and lyrics - in English and Spanish - as a kid.
What is going on with the Bellhop's mouth starting just after 0:15 ? And then where is the rest of the song? It sure as hell doesn't end like this one does.
The guy playing the Bell Boy from the start was a lovely guy named snuffy!!! I remember his Bar at the Monaco Hotel in Miami when we stayed there in 1990!
I got so frustrated from never being able to find the conclusion of this video that I finally ended up buying this version of the video on iTunes last year. Lemme tell ya: that $1.99 was very well spent!!!

Bad Boy by Miami Sound Machine is a phenomenal 80s music classic with a music video that is fun to watch especially the character who provides comedy gold whoe he is secretly swooning for Gloria Estefan's character in this music video.
