Morocco Hosts Tech Fair with Focus on Africa’s Needs | Firstpost Africa
Morocco hosted the second edition of the GITEX Africa tech show with a focus on the needs of Africa. Around 1,500 exhibitors, companies, entrepreneurs, innovators and startups from more than 130 countries converged for the event. The three-day event, billed as one of Africa’s largest tech shows also hosted IT titans such as Microsoft and Cannon. Discussions focused on artificial intelligence and its potential to boost Africa’s economic and social development with innovations like agricultural tech drones for African farmers. Plenty of home-grown businesses were also part of the GITEX show. Companies like Mediot and Almaxyra & Company served as a testament to Morocco’s tech advancements.
