UNLV is in an Arizona & ASU situation. UNLV and Nevada both share one board of reagents/gov's. So if UNLV can get the ok to leave Nevada behind I think UNLV will be in the PAC.

As a UNLV fan....if we're going leave the MW....I would prefer to set our sights on the BIG 12 and do whatever is needed to get that done. Instead of the PAC whatever they're going be. the MW and PAC-12 are a G-5 league. We've proven we can compete with the BIG 12 (see 2 wins against HOUSTON and KANSAS of the BIG 12), UNLV has the facilities, Allegiant stadium, and the capability to host big time games in Las Vegas. I believe UNLV is an up and coming sleeping giant on the west coast.

Since California & Stanford aren’t getting paid the full $30 million while they’re currently in the ACC; wouldn’t it be easier for those 2 schools to leave and not be saddled by that crappy Grant of Rights deal? Is SMU getting paid the full $30 million or are they taking the same pay-cut?

4:53 ESPN will pay the Big 12 to add Cal and Stanford than let those two return back to the PAC-12 on a TNT deal (The Mountain West has a TNT deal). TNT is a competitor. Besides, why would Cal and Stanford want to rejoin (right now) a non-autonomous conference?

F*ck the networks trying to force a Power 2.

Why exactly would ESPN pay the Big 12 to take California & Stanford off the ACC’s hands especially since the Big 12 could’ve easily gotten both of them when Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado & Utah have already gone there?
Keep in mind that once FSU, Clemson along with any other Universities that the Big 12 would acquire (hook or by crook); what makes anybody think that the ACC would still have autonomous status? The ACC football wise is hardly any stronger than the Pac 6 schools without those 2 teams.

    Basically a G5 conference

The PAC didn't rise. They turned into a glorified G5 conference...
Boise will run the show for years...

Have you seen WSU and Org St. recently? They have great football programs that have beaten BIG10 teams(not new ones) I think if they play this correctly they can get back to a P4/5 status. It will take 4-5 years but it is still possible if everything is done correctly.

@drummssticks Neither of them are ranked lol. I guess mediocrity is "greatness" in your eyes 🤣🤣🤣
Boise is probably better than both of them right now

@paidtourist6563 Not now, the problem here is because WSU and Org St. Were left behind they are already going to be looked down upon. Lest two years both schools were ranked for beating ranked teams but because the other school left all of a sudden the leftovers are not relevant even though they did play at a high level last year.

This conference could have 5 ranked teams per year and will get much more respect than the MW
