- Get on the Cupid’s Corner dating app, plan dates with fun Sims, and discover what makes Sims swoon in The Sims™ 4 Lovestruck Expansion Pack*, launching July 25 at 10AM PT. Pre-order or buy through September 5 to get the Heartbreak Happens Digital Content**.
Finding dates for your Sims has never been easier. Open the new dating app and create a profile - you’ll take a selfie to use as a profile pic and choose which of your Sim’s traits you want to highlight. Then, browse through your matches! These can include both Sims in the world and Sims from the Gallery.
Once you’ve matched with a Sim you’d like to spend time with, start planning your date! Choose the location and which activities you’d like to try together. There are a ton of options including classics like dancing and flirting as well as adventurous options like fishing, swimming, or stargazing. You can even invite additional Sims on your date. Friends, potential partners, or even exes (if you like the drama) can all be invited if you want them to be.
Whether your date is hot or not could come down to Sims Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs. Some of these are physical, like outfit styles or colors, but others come down to interactions and personality. Those you’ll have to discover. Finding a date is easier than ever, but making relationships work? That’s more of a challenge.
If a date is going poorly, Sims may autonomously decide to leave.
When Sims become romantically involved, you’ll be able to see how happy they are in their relationships by checking their Romance Satisfaction. Sims can have different levels of satisfaction; what works for one Sim might not work for their partner!
Finding a partner isn't the end of your love story! Relationships will have dynamics, which can be established through gameplay or set in CAS. Will your Sims maintain Wholesome, loving, relationships or happy Steamy relationships? If partners aren't kind things could get Strained. Sims can even have Unpredictable relationships where they switch gears on a dime!

With one bug I've been suffering from for years, the second my sim and their date from another household enters the lot, the date can end up leaving immediately, leaving the lot and ending the event. (that happens for any kind of event timed outing with another sim though.) I have to have the sims move in temporarily to run dates properly.

I wouldn't even count on playable sims being able to do this. They've made Sims do things in trailers that they can't in game since they were swinging on ceiling fans in Sims 2. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sim just ends up ending the date and leaving lol

So, you get changes to the attractions system, a whole structure to plan things, a new socialization tool, a new world, new game play items, and you say Game back? The amount of stuff they had to add to give you what they got makes it an expansion pack. I have been saying this for a while, it's the size of the download that determines the level. Also, do not compare it to Sims 3 since they are fundamentally two different programs, so what can be accomplished in one versus another will be different.
@@ThumperE23 Exactly. I have thought from the get go that this looks like a great pack that 90% of players will utilise. This is the problem with this community: greedy and ungrateful. I feel like a lot of stuff in this second half of TS4's lifetime have been lacking but I honestly don't blame the sims team. The community constantly crapped on them when they were working their butts off, IMO. If they are not putting the same amount of effort in, that is fully on the community. Also, if we want to talk about lacking packs I would argue Seasons is one of the worst, yet also one of the most popular. It has almost no content. I am very excited for Lovestruck and I think people need to get a grip.

Cars is next but EA will first release taxi pack then they will release 1 personal car pack then they will add wheels and accessories expansion pack then right after they will add Garage pack+ Petrol station. The key is to buy the COMBO pack that includes all of the above but if you really need it then buy FULL PRICE and dont worry CAR kits will follow after where you can add color and reflections

from the information we've gotten it sounds like we're getting online dating, new romance dynamics, a new detailed date-planning system, a new romance consultant career, a new big city with 3 neighborhoods, a new lot trait, an attraction system with turn-ons and turn-offs, and a bunch of new interactions :)

@@blooming5728 online dating is the app which could be a cool edition, romance dynamics is just the family dynamics from growing together, the date planning system looks like the club system from get together, the new city only has 13 lots which is average, turn ons and offs kinda already exist in the base game with likes/dislikes. im not trying to be negative and if youre excited for this then im genuinely happy for you but i guess i was expecting a lot more.

Apparently you can have a type for hairstyles and clothing as well which of course isnt much, but we can be honest about what EA actually puts into the game and still be disappointed with the lack of effort.
I’m more intrigued by the toxicity of relationships than the happy love related emotions haha… it’ll be interesting to see how much effort they put into the negative side of love. Heartbreak,arguing,cheating… that’s when it really gets entertaining

Unfortunately, judging by the sale of Horse Ranch... most sims players are indeed stupid.
The way it goes sadly, it's a never ending cycle, new pack gets released, it's bugged and way overpriced for what it adds, simmers "boycott" ea, if you can even call it that, then a new sim pack gets announced, simmers immediately forget all past sins because the new pack is adding that one thing we wanted!! And so the cycle repeats.

You should be concerned when gameplay elements from the main game-like dancing, snapping selfies, and stargazing-appear in the gameplay video for an expansion pack.
i removed all the existing gameplay from the trailer and all i was left with was the date app interface is the only new thing included in the game. The "setup a date" feature is just calendry wedding stories plan an event. ^^ enjoy!!!

This looks like a great addition overall, but it's absolutely ridiculous you made it into a whole expansion. "Parenthood" expanded gameplay more than this, and it was a gamepack.
I think I (and others) would prefer this to be a game pack and priced appropriately, I love the *ideas* and *concepts* that this pack brings but I know from experience that they’ll mess this up 😔

after watching this trailer, I don't think it's worth £35 as I kinda think this should of just been in an update rather than a pack. I feel like the sims team are so behind compared to all the fun stuff they had for sims 2. I would have loved to see more rather than just the dating stuff which we shouldn't have to pay for but the non the less I'll still buy it so I can complete the packs.
