Person of Interest Season 5 Ending Finale. - Розваги
by far one of the most underestimated TV show ever
Ikr!
Easily one of the most underappreciated telivison shows in recent memory. A masterful blend of thought provoking science fiction that forces you to ask very pertinent questions that have very tough answers along side a well planned and executed crime procedural that kept you engaged at all times even if they larger story was not to your liking.
I did a survey at my school and im the only one who has ever watched it. Its the best
for now. By time, they will appreciate it
My favorite show. I'm gonna miss it when it leaves netflix.
Perfect ending to a near perfect show. I will always miss Harold, John, Root, Shaw, Fusco, Carter and The Machine, but will never forget them.
Root may have been “dead” at scene but who knows maybe yes she was planned to die all along but maybe there could be an alternative ending. Yes she died to get an emotional response from some of the audience and because of the storyline but maybe there could be a good ending as well as that ending. Because it hurts too much I can’t :(
And Bear. Never forget Bear.
@@Dafmeister1978 Bear is now really old, or maybe even dead.
@@paulmichaelfreedman8334 oh snap lol
@@mea8323maybe, if what you were survives ("if you helped someone, if you loved someone, if even one person remembers you, then maybe...") This isn't the end at all...
i love it how they ended it the same way it started in a PILOT Reese looks at the camera smiling and walks away on the same place where shaw does it in the end
Like the cycle beginning all over again.
Arguably the best ending to a tv show I've seen. Fitting, bittersweet, and yet perfectly heartwarming too. I hope one day we get a spinoff/sequel series with other Team Machines, with some of our faves coming back from POI too.
Seems like the ending gave Shaw some passion, maybe she was like John, maybe she needed a purpose too
The best thing about POI was the cast! Especially an add on in season 2 Shaw!! BRILLIANTLY PORTRAYED by Sarah Shahi!!
One of the best tv series ever. This ending still makes my eyes tear up years later.
Stay tuned for next episode ;(
Too bad CBS cancelled the show :(
+TheDoct0r Yeah, I think initially it wasnt going to be 13 episodes.
But this conclusion was perfect for this fantastic show. I feel empty each time I finish it, but i'm just happy this story ends this way. And I hope no one will continue this ☺
🥺😢
June 2020... still waiting for the new season 😞🤷🏻♂️🙈
the expression on the face of Sarah Shahi is just magical. The Machine is back online.
I really liked the brief shot of Harold reuniting with Grace - in a shortened season that was about all the screen time that they could devote to it.. can you imagine Grace's reaction when she sees the man she loved, not dead, standing there? Priceless. Also, at the end, when Shaw walks away we see the slightest of smiles.. perfect!
He earned his happy ending.
Root's leather jacket 😢
WOW! thanks for this! 🤧 haven't noticed that!
Interesting that both John and Root gave their lives to save Harold. in the end, those who had someone to care for survived - Harold and Grace, Fusco and his son, Shaw and ... bear :) John and Root had no one else to care for, and they gave their lives so that those who do have someone to care for would live on.
root had no one else to care for? what about shaw?
Not exactly the same - I think that neither Shaw nor Root had the capability to love and care for an actual human the way Harold and Grace, Fusco and son did. The closest that Shaw was able to get was bear. Root - her love was the machine.
And don't forget the Machine.
@@josephbellini3120 john is dead in one of the scenes his body is there
@@jorahmormont6819 Not sure. Last scene with Reese was he was "sprayed" with an endless amount of bullets, so we can only safely assume he's dead? Either way, a very good TV Show, I felt total emptiness when I finished watching it. A show with good action, ideas, conclusions, and moral lessons.
Shaws arch was so good, just like all the characters. I think my favorite was Fusco. But that smile at the end on her face…that was pure joy and happiness and something that she was never able to experience most of her life.
2020 and Im still waiting for new season... is kind of crazy how everything in the show is #Happening now... 😞
Life now imitates POI.
Whhyyyy I don't want it to be over it was one of the best shows ever
This lump in my throat is never gonna go away damn it.
Ah ulan ah.
Agabbbbbbbb
Aga beeeee
Who’s here after the last payphone was removed from NY? I think they should’ve kept one for POI heritage
The scene btw Harold and Greer where the Machine already knew the password to execute the ICE-9 virus shows that the Machine was fully autonomous. In fact, the covert deal it had made with Reese to save Harold with Reese sacrificing himself to do so, shows that the Machine had already achieved full autonomy. More than that, unlike Samaritan, learning from Finch, Reese, Root, Shaw, Fusco, Carter, Elias et al, the Machine was willing to sacrifice herself for others, that made the Machine superior to Samaritan in the one-on-one fight. In the satellite, Samaritan could marshal no human resources to defend itself. Harold's simulations...did not account for a fully autonomous self-sacrificial Machine versus Samaritan.
in the episode when the machine runs simulations for the team's survival a flashback shows that the most vital piece sometimes has to be sacrificed in order to win and that the queen was not always the most powerful piece. in that episode, it was able to run multiple simulations and we saw the machine grow in just a few seconds. this is what the machine learned from all of them. Sacrifice from john, optimism and hope from Harold, Action from Shaw and in guiding root it became someone who can truly help people and not just control them
pure awesomeness ! best ending ever
I miss this show so so much. Just watched the clips of the last episode, the feelings... Fingers crossed it was all a simulation!
Ramin does not miss with these osts.
Man I loved this show. I basically wept when it ended.
Same…)-:
WARNER BRING THIS BACK I WOULD LOVE A NEW SERIES OR A FILM!
Bring back this show
It can't be the same without Reese.
Superb ending to a superb show!!!!!
I miss this show
This is why you never send an infant version of Samaritan to beat the Machine.
A wonderful, moving clip. Thank you! It is so rare to see Shaw smile!
this show was just too good!!! It's just captivating
I was soo hoping for a spin-off show with Shaw in the lead 🥺😩
I'm still staying tuned for the next episode
Background score is epic
This is the world we live in now. Show was ahead of it's time!
We are not promised tomorrow. Every sunrise is a blessing and every day a gift.
Without John it wouldn't have been the same.
It's like Terminator without Schwartz.
Depends on what the writers do with the character. If you evolve this show into another spin-off you're not going to have the same characters anyway.
And the only one I'd really want back would be Harold..... And that would just be a recurring role so he could be in the background mentoring everyone.
this show deserved it's full run...the show was originally planned for 8 seasons...but why did they ended with 5 😒😒💔💔😢😢
One of the best TV shows I've ever watched, up there with Burn Notice.
I've been waitimg 2 fu**in' years. Still am.
To think this is the Machine's message to her own duplicate... Awesome
An incredible ending of one of the best ever shows.
Ramin Djawadi is a genius
It can't be over what am I going to do now
I miss this show. Such smart characters both on the good and bad sides of the show.
2:20 Same as ending of 1x1 :'(
I have heard and read articles that say they are bringing this show back to CBS!!! I hope it is true, but it would be difficult without John Reese....Sarah Shahi's character Shaw may be good enough!
Hope they bring it back.
In other news, John's real name is John H. Tal-something. Popular theories are John Tallis, John Talon, and John Talos (I personally prefer this one)
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Everyone dies alone..
CAN.YOU.HEAR.ME?
hell yes
This show is perfect for reboot or spin-off with the existing or entirely new characters. The premise is vast, no limit, you can literally can do anything related with technology related theme. Only we will not see The Machine communicated using payphone anymore.
I am not crying, you are crying
😢
This is a masterpiece.. Making me confused, thrilled, excited, BROKEN-HEARTED, loved... Auuugh! Deep, so deep!
What are the odds someone like Amazon or Netflix will pick this up?
To me, root faked her death to stay away from samaritan's eyes, the machine picked root's voice to make her stay away from her ears, and at the end, what shaw heard at the other side of the phone was somehting like "hey sweety, did u miss me?" because when shaw looked at the phone, she had that 'gimme a break, im grieving here' look on her face, but after she hung up, she had that smile when root shows how badass she is
We saw Root's body in the morgue.
@@yevgenyzamsky1558 Yeah i know, but to me, everything looked weird from that point, i feel like the only way to beat an enemy that can predict all your movements is to act unpredictable, the machine was programmed to preserve life, so sacrificing her own agents was unpredictable, having a human pretending to be the machine was also unpredictable. It made more sense to me that the machine's plan was to have root take her place as the voice guiding the agents, and to do that they both needed to convince everyone that root was dead, as far as we know, there was no reason for lionel to check root's pulse in that moment when even the doctors claimed that she was dead.
YEEES! That's been bothering me. The scene where Shaw visited Root's grave, and Shaw noticed something odd but was cut-off because of the call. Oooooh! That's really something you know! Hehehe.
@@henriquesss7859 You also have a point.. But there's still something that the series wants all the people to think. Hahaha..
:'( still hard to watch this...
I know
I headcanon that Shaw assembles a new Team Machine which includes a teenage Genrika.
I miss this show so much :(
same
I can’t believe this music was never officially released 😭
I'd like to think that Shaw and Fusco continue to work together as they get new numbers from the Machine. Hopefully, Harold will also let them know that he's alive and let them know what happened to John.
Logan Pierce could fund the operations...Harper & Joey essentially carrying on the mantle of John etc.
Bring in Caleb Phipps into it too. And Aasif Mandvi as Sulaiman Khan. And Zoey Morgan...
i'm still looking for a show better than POI

Just discovered the show and on season 2. Why did I look at the ending. I’m crying now. I wish John didn’t have to die
my best tv movie!!
I love how the ending is nearly identical to the Pilot episode.
Full Circle.
Whooow the music ! It's the same guy who has composed the music of Game of Thrones !!
Thank God the last payphone ever was still around back then...
An Idea that I had for a POI sequel is that the call from the New Machine to Shaw was actually a request for her to go to D.C. As we know, the New Machine will reconnect to its assets around the world, especially the D.C ones (Pierce,Athena and Joey, Who will be the main characters of the Sequel alongside Shaw). I think it makes total sense to call Shaw since she is like a Reese now, someone who kinda has no purpose and enjoys dealing with bad guys (Plus, the machine reminds her of Root, who she loved). We could have D.C as the main city for this sequel and as for Plot, the POI finale showed us that the world was left scarred and that there is still much to improve. We could also have some Fusco here and there, but i think Finch's story should come to an end. (A plot twist that could be ridiculously awesome would be the reappearance of Alistair Wesley, who sounded like a cool villain and was left in a huge cliffhanger). Another idea to keep the POI world going is the Finch Prequel, who I also think would be neat.
Feel free to share your thoughts of this, i'm happy to talk to anyone about this
grakksilpex grakksilpex I think you should direct a spin-off with your ideas no offense 💚
nice idea :D
I think another one is the leader of CONTROL. I mean Control herself. I haven't seen her die, just kidnapped.
I will save copies for this show for my grand children to watch.
And maybe this isn’t the end at all, free machine, Shaw did not get a number or she would have written it down, Root is alive and she said come find me.
The way they killed Reese was over kill. I hoped Reese would be able to retire, have a normal life, take a vacation, but I think he liked that type of work and would have been bored with a normal life. Seeing Reese die like that was so sad. I'm glad Finch and his fiancee got to see each other again.
I love this show i am sad that there is no season 6
I think the machine sent the second missile to destroy the first and saved john. That's why they didn't show the blast.
It would be awesome if you're right. Reese is one of my two favorite characters (Fusco is the other).
John was already so bullet ridden. I don't think he can recover
@@SuccessforLifester Reese comes back as a re-animated cyborg!
@@victorpradha9946 or a multiverse plot
I hope so. But, the scene where john is shot multiple times, I think he wouldn't survive.
The machine knew everything right from the start. Damn you AI's.

how about fusco ?
😭😭😭

This world has still so much to give, that it's almost criminal to not give it another shot. The machine won against Samaritan but it doesn't mean that her story should end.
The OG show is done and that should be respected. But there is so much potential for continuation. Either PoI 2.0 in a different city, with another crew [and potential cameos from Shaw, Fusco and other characters we've met in PoI for the sake of continuity]. Or maybe narrow it down and have a story of the "new" machine and how she chooses another analogue interface to do her bidding [For example they could hunt remains of the Samaritan code, scattered across the US in different networks/places and prevent any crimes connected to it] and focus on the relationship between those two.
I know it's just wishful thinking at this point, considering that almost 7 years has passed since PoI conclusion but... a guy can dream, I guess.
The original plan was for a longer final season, but that got cut down.
How come the machine is still operAting? I thought the virus released would have killed it? Maybe it backup itself and Harold made it functioning again ?
That was the copy that they sent to the satellite to destroy Samaritan's last copy. It succeeded, survived and sent itself back to Earth after the virus was gone.
@@WarGrowlmon18 Oh thanks for explaining
I think it's root's doings. Remember the time Root said to Harold about he should have taught The machine to defend itself? . In the last episodes of the season 5, there is a scene where Root honestly told Harold that she did something to the machine that would help the machine defend itself/herself. Harold was angry because he is afraid that if the machine will survive at the end and nobody could be there and maybe bad things could happen in the future (bad people will control the machine).
That's the purpose of the recordings that Root made. It will teach the new born MACHINE the history of what happened and it will grow again and make a new world on its own and learn things new things again.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Maybe, this isn't the end at all. So Please give us SEASON 6!
