Same, every duel with Akisa was so so good, like the way she could play with cards and her deck really played really well and it was funny because she didn’t play directly with brute force (except for black rose dragon destruction effect that for 10yo me was like a very big deal)

It was stated by the creator they wanted her to do alot more but the other writer that took over after he left just scrapped her storyline and Ruka
yeah same they are both sooooo cool archetypes, i would love to see more different support for all the archetypes outside of Black Magician, White Dragon and Cyber Dragon
I fully agree with this. I know it's not a popular archetype and not the strongest, but the Machina archetype is one that works well with any earth machine monster, especially one of its boss monsters, Machina Citadel.
I like that the other Signer Dragons like Stardust and RDA have had to get various upgrades or retrains to stay competitive whereas Black Rose is like “nope, got it right the first time.”

Black Rose's second effect is absolutely relevant, due to how much historic play Spore, Glow-Up Bulb and Dandylion saw. It was not uncommon for some more creative players to use something like a book of moon to set an opponent's card, then put it back in attack position to swing over and end the game with 2400 damage. You also make Black Rose dragon sound manditory, and a good potion of the strength to it is that it is optional, and has the above utility, while also serving as a pocket nuke.
While I'll agree on your second point I think it's 100% fair to call BRDs second effect irrelevant. The fact is it has a terrible effect at too high a cost and is basically never more useful than something else. For 2400 damage you need to synchro BRD, ideally with a plant type, forgo using its first effect, somehow get your opponents monster into defense position, then banish your resources (resources that only some decks that can run BRD will have at that) from the graveyard and hope none of that gets interrupted. It's certainly not the clunkiest way to get 2400 damage on your opponent but its definitely close and again requires you to not use the good effect of BRD in order to actually pull off.
Book of moon with BRD.. huh. I'll be trying that in Duel links, which is all the more potent with 4k LP -- once they finally decide to release a non-paywalled version of Book of moon, that is..

Very surprised to not see Rose Girl on this list, that monster makes it very easy to make Crossrose Dragon, Ruddy Rose Dragon, or any generic Level 10 Synchro on your turn, as well as being able to loop itself with cards like World Carrotweight Champion to generate field presence without using your normal summon.
Maybe you should do a list of powerful modern cards that require the current meta to be useful. As in, if they had been released in the old days of Yugioh, they would be far weaker or even useless.

While it is a casual deck, I have beaten Drytrons with it before, and have stood up well against most rogue decks. You can adjust the amounts as you see fit, but I say keep Petal and Snowdrop at 3, as they are your most important main deck monsters. I mean, I can understand their reasoning, but the way I see it, 2 is the best number for most of them, as it gives a variety to choose from to allow you to adapt to any situation. Teardrop (the rank 8) is also my favorite! Second for me though, is Snowdrop. And Petal is so adorable!
Sylvans were the bane of my existence when I had duel links on my tablet years ago & I raged quit because of them, & a few other archetypes as well but fortunately they're not a thing anymore so HA SCREW YOU!
Also you can make a deck that has both in them easier than expected. Just focus on one of the three arcs for Stardust (Stardust, Junk, Warrior) and some pieces for Black Rose. Have it focus more on Synchro summons and you have a nuke/protection deck.

I’m a simple person. When I see a video covering the cards of the best female lead in Yugioh, I click. Especially since Black Rose Dragon is a really used card in RL. I’m so glad it gotten support in recent years!
Well to be fair, Yusei and Jack's decks get regular support and no other archetype in history gets more support than Crow's Blackfeathers. It's a shame Rua's deck is too gimmicky while Ruka herself doesn't exactly use and archetype that could be supported. Either way it'd about time Aki was shown some love
top 10 suggestion: top 10 lv 8 synchros. Would be interesting since you have said on stream before that you don't think stardust dragon is even a top 15 lv 8 synchro monster (which I agree with). It'll be funny seeing how the comments react to stardust not being included in the top 10.
Honestly, black rose dragon has always been one of my favorite cards in Yugioh since forever that I have a copy irl, so it makes me happy it got a decent archtype and that it still sees competitive play! xD
i remember in duel links, loads of decks like lightsworns would summon out black rose dragon. nuke my board, then continue to do special summon plays. it was madness.

@@mihneazoican2479 That's a more convoluted list, as there's multiple ways to cheat out fusion monsters and why they'd be cheated out. Waking The Dragon, Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi, Instant Fusion and Cyber Stein are all cards that can cheat out a Fusion Monster. That's just off the top of my head and LOTS of fusion monsters will be brought out for a variety of reasons.

@@mihneazoican2479 The list would basically be "10 best targets for Instant Fusion", because that's THE go-to for cheating out a lot of Fusion monsters. And a lot of them are banned because of Instant Fusion.
If you haven't done it yet, Top Ten cards with effects which protects other cards you control. Examples: Safe Zone, Card Guard, and King of the Sky Prison (I know the name changed with Burst of Destiny release but don't remember it) Disregard cards that banish or destroy themselves in place of another cards. Unless there aren't enough cards to make a list with the above specific protection effect, then go ahead
Dude, i play duel links, which is what hot me into Yu-Gi-Oh, i would love more videos about the archetypes there abd other odd cards, or useful ones which are often underappreciated, there some that are fun and competitive.

Well with flora if the goal is to make 1 board you could use her effect to destroy white rose cloister as it has no effect after being used untill next turn then you can make a black rose dragon or save the flora and a Lv 1 monster and make coral dragon during your opponent turn
My main deck consists of the rose archetype with a little blue-eyes and face cards such as king's knight, Queen's knight and Jack's knight. With their respective extra deck monsters.
The rose archetype is my favorite. Regardless of it’s power I loved that they started a competent plant archetype as well as including dragons based around roses. I never take my rose deck apart 😄

Unless there's a movie for Duel Links, I just can't see it. I would LOVE it of course (in theory; NOT if we went the Arc-V route, obviously), but the odds of seeing anyone from a past spin-off in any material going forward are just too low to be plausible, sadly (not from the original; DM will be mined forever).

Crossrose Dragon's effect to Special Summon when a monster you control is destroyed by card effect is mostly likely supposed to allow the user to summon back the black rose dragon they just summoned with its effect during the opponent's turn.
Top 10 character signature card e.g. Stardust Dragon - Yusei Fudo, Dark Magician - Yami Yugi, Ancient Gear Golem - Vellian Crowler, Super Conductor Tyranno - Tyranno Hassleberry. Or top 10 cards that a certain character uses (e.g. Syrus Truesdale, Chazz Princeton, or other less known character)
Black Rose Moonlight is actually a bit better than you made it out to be since it doesn't trigger if your opponent special summons a level 5 or higher monster. It triggers if a level 5 or higher monster is special summoned to your opponent's field. This means, that if you Kaiju your opponent, you can then immediately bounce a card which means you can take out two of their boss monsters with a single Kaiju. While Kaiju isn't used as much anymore, it is still useful. As for Nibiru, it doesn't matter. A level 5 or higher token is summoned to the opponent's field and Nibiru is level 5 or higher.
Um, does no one else see it...? I think Ruddy Rose Dragon is designed to be made with Black Rose Dragon as one of its materials. Rose Dragon tuners are 3 stars, Black Rose is 7, and using Ruddy Rose Effect will banish it to bring back with Basal Rose Shoot Garden Rose Flora + Rose Token = Black Rose Dragon = Free reactive field wipe Kinda wanna play a rose deck now
You say that monsters like ruddy rose dragon are hard to summon BUT, its a matter of how good you are at level modulation. There are cards such as level lifter which makes things ALOT easier with synchro & xyz summon, it just depends on how creative you are with problem solving.
I think they should add an effect for all the arctype . If this card is destroyed: you can ……. Because if I use black rose dragon to clean the field my opponent at least able to get one monster on their side so I should get more advantage of destroying my cards either
You forgot to mentions Black Rose nuke can miss timing, which causes confusion, argue or even judge call back in the day. Just like Trishula can missing the timing. (Mainly due to Formula Synchron play).
@@cypherdastro8105 basically if you activate it to Synchro Summon as Chain Link 2 or higher. It will miss the timing. For example, opponent activate Book of Moon targeting Formula Synchron, you chain Formula Synchron to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon. Resolving chain, Black Rose is Synchro Summoned, then Book of Moon resolve without effect (its target gone). Since the last thing to happen is Book of Moon resolving, you miss the timing of Black Rose "when this card is Synchro summoned, you can.." since it is optional WHEN effect. This also applies to the Rose Synchro Tuner this video, along with T.G. Star Guardian and the like. Not just Formula Synchron in general.
Crossrose Dragon should've been at 1st place. That link monster (as Quick-Effect) can "Synchro Summon" Ruddy Rose Dragon & Black Rose Moonlight Dragon & Black Rose Dragon. It can completely disrupt the opponent's board.
One common misunderstanding: As mentioned in 0:57 -> Black Rose Moonlight Dragon is NOT a Rose Dragon. It is however a "Rose" Synchro monster that can be summoned by Crossrose Dragon's (the link) effect.

I've been recommending top 10 EARTH Machines for a while since the type-attribute pairing can make a cohesive deck in a plethora of different ways.

The Rose cards are pretty good. I use Crossrose, Black Rose, Ruddy Rose, Black Garden, and Garden Maiden in my Rikka deck for when I'm in a pinch.

Well to be fair, Yusei and Jack's decks get regular support and no other archetype in history gets more support than Crow's Blackfeathers. It's a shame Rua's deck is too gimmicky while Ruka herself doesn't exactly use and archetype that could be supported. Either way it'd about time Aki was shown some love

top 10 suggestion: top 10 lv 8 synchros. Would be interesting since you have said on stream before that you don't think stardust dragon is even a top 15 lv 8 synchro monster (which I agree with). It'll be funny seeing how the comments react to stardust not being included in the top 10.
Basal Rose Shoot and most rose-cards in general can't be used in conjunction with Black Rose Moonlight Dragon, because it isn't a "Rose Dragon".
That is the Most stupid Thing about Moonlight Dragon, dont Unserstand why they dont give IT the Effect that it IS Always a Rose Dragon Card

@@mihneazoican2479 That's a more convoluted list, as there's multiple ways to cheat out fusion monsters and why they'd be cheated out. Waking The Dragon, Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi, Instant Fusion and Cyber Stein are all cards that can cheat out a Fusion Monster. That's just off the top of my head and LOTS of fusion monsters will be brought out for a variety of reasons.
@@azuredragoon2054 ah of course, but I don’t think it’s as complicated as you make it out to be. You don’t have to care about all the methods, just which monsters are cheated out (as there’s usually only one method per monster anyway)
@@mihneazoican2479 The list would basically be "10 best targets for Instant Fusion", because that's THE go-to for cheating out a lot of Fusion monsters. And a lot of them are banned because of Instant Fusion.

Top Ten cards with effects which protects other cards you control. Examples: Safe Zone, Card Guard, and King of the Sky Prison (I know the name changed with Burst of Destiny release but don't remember it)
Disregard cards that banish or destroy themselves in place of another cards. Unless there aren't enough cards to make a list with the above specific protection effect, then go ahead
Dude, i play duel links, which is what hot me into Yu-Gi-Oh, i would love more videos about the archetypes there abd other odd cards, or useful ones which are often underappreciated, there some that are fun and competitive.
I love my lady in white Garden Rose Flora. To me, it's a perfect card to go into my Queen of Thorns monster.

As the rose is my favorite flower, I may have to get back in the game with a Rose based deck.
Well with flora if the goal is to make 1 board you could use her effect to destroy white rose cloister as it has no effect after being used untill next turn then you can make a black rose dragon or save the flora and a Lv 1 monster and make coral dragon during your opponent turn

The Rose cards are my favourite because they’re really good and has decent support cards. My favourite Rose card is Black Rose Dragon
My main deck consists of the rose archetype with a little blue-eyes and face cards such as king's knight, Queen's knight and Jack's knight. With their respective extra deck monsters.

The rose archetype is my favorite. Regardless of it’s power I loved that they started a competent plant archetype as well as including dragons based around roses. I never take my rose deck apart 😄

Unless there's a movie for Duel Links, I just can't see it. I would LOVE it of course (in theory; NOT if we went the Arc-V route, obviously), but the odds of seeing anyone from a past spin-off in any material going forward are just too low to be plausible, sadly (not from the original; DM will be mined forever).

Crossrose Dragon's effect to Special Summon when a monster you control is destroyed by card effect is mostly likely supposed to allow the user to summon back the black rose dragon they just summoned with its effect during the opponent's turn.
I think there are enough cards where you could do a Top 10 Pendulum Extra Deck Monsters list. That would be pretty fun

Black Rose Moonlight is actually a bit better than you made it out to be since it doesn't trigger if your opponent special summons a level 5 or higher monster. It triggers if a level 5 or higher monster is special summoned to your opponent's field. This means, that if you Kaiju your opponent, you can then immediately bounce a card which means you can take out two of their boss monsters with a single Kaiju. While Kaiju isn't used as much anymore, it is still useful. As for Nibiru, it doesn't matter. A level 5 or higher token is summoned to the opponent's field and Nibiru is level 5 or higher.

I think Ruddy Rose Dragon is designed to be made with Black Rose Dragon as one of its materials.
Rose Dragon tuners are 3 stars, Black Rose is 7, and using Ruddy Rose Effect will banish it to bring back with Basal Rose Shoot

You say that monsters like ruddy rose dragon are hard to summon BUT, its a matter of how good you are at level modulation. There are cards such as level lifter which makes things ALOT easier with synchro & xyz summon, it just depends on how creative you are with problem solving.

You forgot to mentions Black Rose nuke can miss timing, which causes confusion, argue or even judge call back in the day. Just like Trishula can missing the timing. (Mainly due to Formula Synchron play).
What was the formula synchron play that caused miss timings? Just curious.
@@cypherdastro8105 basically if you activate it to Synchro Summon as Chain Link 2 or higher. It will miss the timing.
For example, opponent activate Book of Moon targeting Formula Synchron, you chain Formula Synchron to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon. Resolving chain, Black Rose is Synchro Summoned, then Book of Moon resolve without effect (its target gone). Since the last thing to happen is Book of Moon resolving, you miss the timing of Black Rose "when this card is Synchro summoned, you can.." since it is optional WHEN effect.
This also applies to the Rose Synchro Tuner this video, along with T.G. Star Guardian and the like. Not just Formula Synchron in general.

Crossrose Dragon should've been at 1st place. That link monster (as Quick-Effect) can "Synchro Summon" Ruddy Rose Dragon & Black Rose Moonlight Dragon & Black Rose Dragon. It can completely disrupt the opponent's board.

One common misunderstanding: As mentioned in 0:57 -> Black Rose Moonlight Dragon is NOT a Rose Dragon. It is however a "Rose" Synchro monster that can be summoned by Crossrose Dragon's (the link) effect.
