born in '53 here - seen every girl group to ever exist in the last 70 years and there has NEVER been anything that can compare to LOVEBITES. tons of amazing all female bands have been coming out of japan since '05 or so. some are close in talent but these girls rule everyone - imo - male or female. they do a 2 hour concert at this pace and never break a sweat. the drummer goes non stop like this all night and gives edm's nervous breakdowns. her name is haruna and is a petite 4 ft. 9 in. tall. this is one rabbit hole you will not want to crawl out of

wait until you see the rest of their 60 or so songs. the dark haired guitarist on your right is miyako and is the genius of the band. she writes at least half of all of their self written songs and is a trained concert pianist and plays in quite a few songs. you notice the white roland grand piano on her side of the stage. i recommend the song 'swan song' with the chopin intro to see her on the keys. best live band present day. nobody else comes close@@chordsandnotesnation

yup - i found BAND MAID and DESTROSE in 2016 not even knowing there was such a thing as japanese girl groups until a youtube suggestion that i almost passed up on 'real existence' by BAND MAID. blew me out of the water. if these bands had come along in the 60's when you and i were coming of age i think half of us would have lost our minds and moved to japan. My favourite female power metal band🤘
Lovebites is the premier Japanese all-female Metal band and it's not even close. Also the first and only Japanese all-female band to play Wacken (2018).
After taking some time off, they had a comeback two day show in March of 2023 called Knocken at Heavens Gate. There they introduced the new Bass player, Fami, and showcased her and their new energy level they possessed for the show.

Best metal band today IMO. They are elite musicians, Best twin guitarists I''ve heard n 5 decades of listening to metal. They Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently. Both genres are dominated by the all-female bands.

Named after the Grammy winning song Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm. Lead singer Asami has joined Lzzy and Halestorm at 2019 Download performing that song. Miyako and Midori (blond pony tail) shredding on guitar, IMO 2 of the best today. Haruna is a beast on drums. Original bassist, and band co-founder, Miho is seen here, she left in 2021. New bassist ,Fami, joined in Oct 2022. Formed in 2016, they have 4 full albums and 60+ songs to choose from. Some songs, like this one, lean towards power metal. Others lean towards thrash, and some ballads. Bands like Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Iron Maiden and Helloween , are among their influences. And they have opened for Dragonforce. They are all between 4'9" and 5'2".
Form more , try Thunder vengeance, Break the Wall, and Swan Song 9with Chopin Piano intro) from this same concert. And to see Fami: Hammer of Wrath, Judgement Day and Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down) from Knockin' at Heaven's Gate 2023.

The above guitar has been used mainly in past live performances and music videos (such as "Glory to the World").
The original pickups were replaced with silver humbuckers, which were replaced with gold humbuckers a few years ago.
Other metal parts were also replaced with gold, Midori's favorite color.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan, with an SH-1n in the front and an SH-15 in the rear.

Midori's guitar looks "purple" in the live video.
Original color not in the catalog.
The quilted maple grain is beautifully visible through the purple see-through paint.
Pickups were replaced with gold humbuckers.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan, SH-1n '59 model in the front and SH-15 Alternative 8 in the rear.
Other metal parts were also changed to gold.

Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. It debuted on #4 for general iTunes charts worldwide and #1 for metal charts in 8 countries.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band.
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. They will be on a WORLD TOUR this year. First dates are already announced for this summer. They will appear at several festivals. For example they will play on main stage at Hellfest/France, one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe (60k tickets are sold). Now we are all waiting for more dates to be announced …

Actually on display was only SOME of their talent. You haven't seen the black haired guitarist shred the piano yet, and you haven't seen the vocalist add her ballerina skills yet. There is a whole lot more where this came from and even BETTER songs than this too.

Lovebites are the Metal Queens 🤘. You haven't even scratched the surface of Japanese rock/metal. Band-Maid, Aldious, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Unlucky Morpheus, Trident, East of Eden, Nemophila, Raglaia to name a few. Maybe you'll eventually get to them.

On the second guitar tapping it showed Bassist Miho tap he pedal then do the tapping (You were looking down I guess writing something and missed it) like Miyako had done and Midori taps later putting pick in her mouth as she does.
Maybe someone else already mentioned, LOVEBITES have toured in the UK with Dragonforce in 2019 and shared stage with them for 2 songs. But LOVEBITES music is more versatile and also better written and performed IMO …

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".

On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after the departure of their leader, bassist Miho.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 689,000 UA-cam subscribers.

Has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, also she is a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, she loves her pets and Star Wars
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, does songwriting for a few songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Best drummer in the universe (IMO), wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food

All these songs are great, they have no bad, weak or meh songs, and no fillers at all. Every song is special, you could randomly select a song, best life, of course, and LOVEBITES won't disappoint you. They play many different Heavy Metal styles with a certain LOVEBITES sound, they revive the masters of the 80's (and 90's) in a fresh and modern way. LOVEBITES may have the most talented musicians around, all of them S tier. Drummer Haruna is relentless like a metronome, both Miho and Fami master their bass (for Fami's capabilities, you should visit "Alien Alien" from my list, it's in her UA-cam channel will almost 700K subscribers), the dual guitars M&M (for Midori and Miyako) is most certainly the best duo for trading guitar solos and harmonizing, and Asami's voice is stellar with big range, powerful belt and good vibrato. Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Angra, Helloween, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple, even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just 7 years. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Some people say that they’re redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Dragonforce? Well, Lovebites toured the UK in 2019 opening for Dragonforce (they’re good friends, by the way). Lovebites is considered the most melodic heavy metal band in the world. Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a total success. Miho left the band in August 2021 and Fami joined in October 2022. They went to an almost two year hiatus. My next recommendation is “Hammer of wrath” (live, 2023). For a different side of them I suggest “Chopin Etude + Swan song” (live, 2020). Enjoy the awesome ride.

Nice reaction. I saw in another thread here that you discussed the sound quality. And yes, I hope you fix that. Because it is important if you shall get listeners to your channel in the long run. It is tiresome with low quality. It might also be good if you do listen in headphones. You do hear much more details in the music then. The individual instruments. Makes it easier for you to comment. One example: Miyako is in the right channel and Midori in the left channel. So, you can easily hear who plays what.
Headphones are not an option due to medical reasons.

I'm not sure what equipment you have available to you, but recording speaker to microphone causes stereo sound to be converted to mono, in addition to decreasing the overall quality of the sound. In order to grow your channel faster, you need to play the original video in its original quality so your viewers experience is not diminished. Hundreds of other reactors do this, so there really shouldn't be any reason why you can't as well.
I'm aware, thank you. However the equipment needed to keep this format and deliver direct audio feed, is expensive. I understand the technological limitations and hopefully with enough support I'll be able to invest in better equipment.
@@chordsandnotesnation I'll admit I don't know anything about the equipment needed, but I have watched hundreds of reactors over the years, including some in third world countries who have retained the original video sound and qulaity. I mention this because I think it must be possible to achieve that without having to spend much money. After a quick Google search, it seems all you need is a computer, microphone and software. Searching some more, there appears to be free software (or free versions of commercial software) that are suitable.

I'm sorry it's not up to your standards. It's not inexpensive to get the setup I want. Many have said the sound is fine and that they come for the reaction. I appreciate your input, but I'm wishing people would not try to tell others how to conduct their channel. Especially, if they don't understand why things are done a certain way. I can hear it on my end just fine. I know the audio is less than a direct audio input. I'm trying to get the right equipment. It's expensive
@@chordsandnotesnation my standards ? lol sorry if i came off that way i am a musician so sound matters to me and since you are doing music reactions i figured it also mattered to you. there are low cost ways to improve the sound quality and yes i realize i could just watch the vid on my own from the Lovebites official channel or my DVD but reactions can e entertaining and they help promote the music . i know what that ESP you have cost so you obviously do like quality and improving the sound for your viewers should not cost even a fraction of what that guitar cost lol. any way sorry if i offended you that was not the intent . comments and critiques are part of this game and even the ones you do not like help the algorithm push your channel and i was only trying to help you ,if i did not like what you are doing i would simply not watch the channel. but hey i like any one who owns an ESP
