Great shots! I shoot with Olympus EM1.2 and have been considering the 6d for a full frame option but cannot imagine parting with the Oly. Are you moving away from M4/3rds completely?
No I’m keeping the EM1 Mark ii. I’ll have the option of the Sony and the Olympus and both can record video so it’s kind of a beat of both worlds thing. I actually prefer the Olympus to use but the 6D has lovely IQ.
Ah, yes that makes sense. I really want the 6d for very low light and astro photography. I have found that in most other situations, the Olympus is more than adequate. Plus I have invested it glass. I really like watching your videos, you do a great job of explaining the composition as well as the settings. I follow a few others but they shoot with $10k rigs and it just doesn't seem as realistic. Thank you for your content. @@ChrisBaitsonPhoto
@thejonc799 thanks for watching it really is appreciated. When I owned a 6D I found it was fantastic for astrophotography and low light. Lovely and clean.
Would you recommend the 6d over 5d in any model for landscape photography? I’m looking for an early 5d but can’t decide what to pick… I want those awesome colors that 5d classic and mk2 has though they are different (mk1 creamy yellowish, mk2 earthy tones) Will I get the same results with the 6d, the film like pictures? Thanks!
If I remember rightly the 6D and 5D2 were realised around the same time with the 6D having some of the features of the 5D2 stripped back. I’d recommend it over the 5D Classic purely for ease of use.
Such awesome pictures! I'm looking into buying my first real camera so i don't know that much but are these pictures heavily rendered? What do you think of a 5d mark iii with 10k actuations in 2024?
Hi Chris, glad you're getting out and about a bit more , talking about MPB i too have had couple of problems with them last couple of times. Did you say you're getting an A7R ? 1,2,3 or 4 , i fancy a look at sony to but looking is a head bust, looking at everything from A7Sii , A7Rii , A7iii , A7Riii to even the new A6700 & back to Olympus OM1 Ahhhhhhhhh , anyway great photos & keep them coming :)
The camera I have coming is the A7r, the original. 36mpx and close to 15 stops of dynamic range is plenty. I wanted to go for the best of both worlds and keep the E-M1 Mark ii to compliment it.
Hi Chris, Your comments about MPB are really interesting. I’ve used them a lot over the years and they’ve been really good but my last two purchases were terrible leading me to think who’s doing their product grading? Two as new lenses were far from as new and were promptly sent back. I’ve had much better luck with Wex or Parks their grading standards are top notch and more believable. Fantastic video with a great little camera.
I’d be very careful also when selling to MPB. Last time I sold to them they claimed one of the items I sent in the package was not there. It was and they obviously discarded it with the packaging. They did a very half arsed investigation, way too late and shafted me for a lens.
No. They said they investigated and as I couldn’t provide them with a photo of the items in the package I was sending to them that there was nothing more they could do. News to me that you need to photograph your packing!
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto cool much appreciated just got a new camera DSLR from Canon the 1100D !!! Lol 😂 its an old one but a friend sold me his since mine is broken! What are some good ef-s lenses i could maybe get for portraits and landscapes or urban photography?
Never had an issue with MPB I'm surprised and disgusted you've used you're channel on UA-cam to publicly attack them, I'm out! Seriously poor behaviour on you're part. There are better ways to deal with these type of problems.
Thanks for watching mate. I do, however, disagree. I am entitled to share my own experiences and opinions on my own channel. Good luck with your future dealings with that company. I’m out.

Nice review 👍
Used MPB once they lost my lens , never again i use WEX Great company to deal with . Great photos
Thanks Mick. I think Wex will be my go to from now on.
It was probably dpd tbh, they lost a £20k plus lens from our company recently and more smaller sub £20k items like a hassleblad body
They told me that they received the lens , but a week later they couldn't find it , very strange @@ChrisBaitsonPhoto
Top Drawer ....
Never bought from MPB . Virtually all my gear is bought from Wex never had an issue !.
I’m going to try Wex as I have heard good things about them.
Thanks for posting Chris, great images idyllic conditions 🖖

@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto so 6d and 5d2 are both good and no one is better then the other? Maybe the 5d3 would be the better pick.

I had a 5D Mark iii and they’re fantastic cameras. 10K is really low so I’d grab it.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto it's 440 quid with a 50mm 1,8! still good? looks like excellent condition.

@philiphunter3966 sorry to hear that Philip. Doesn’t sound like the best of experiences. Did they sort it out in the end or was their word final?
No. They said they investigated and as I couldn’t provide them with a photo of the items in the package I was sending to them that there was nothing more they could do. News to me that you need to photograph your packing!
Great video 👍🙂
Can you please do a camera review of the A7R when you receive it?
Most certainly will be doing. It arrived yesterday and the replacement works fine.
