@@KatyushaDonetsk If that area has not been loaded in at all then its possible that you can add the map and it will show up. but that does not guarantee there will not be glitching so it is always better to start a new game with new maps
Important to note is that Buffalo Hills was made for a roleplay server. Knowing the person who made it, it's really well made. Server staff have since fixed most issues server-side, but the workshop version will eventually have the fixes updated onto it.
I was really looking forward to this video and hoped that at least one of my two town maps would be included in the review. But both were included in the video, which I am immensely happy about. Thank you for your work!
I haven't even finished the vanilla map after over 500 hours in this game lol, never been inside Luisville for example, but that is my next big goal, wish me luck.
cool thing for those who are interested in trying these map mods or others: someone recently made a Map Mod Manager on the steam workshop which adds a new menu in the game that shows you which tiles on the map the mods occupy, to help build better mod collections around them. i highly recommend it if you plan on installing multiple map mods at once (although i don't recommend doing it in the first place since it really impacts game performance and load times.)
Glad New-Albany was featured. Its been a fun map to play this wipe as a Patron. It also has its own set of riverside mansions along the south east side of the city and that's where our group currently lives! It also has some fun secrets Hope to have Buffalo Hill in the future because it really seems like a fun use of that map space. I know it overlaps with Taylorsville, but it seems a lot more relaxed for a good change of pace. Thanks for the map/mod reviews!
"This one time, my buddy Keith started up a historic tour, on account of his mom took him to Colonial Williamsburg, and it's like a license to print money at them places. Now you might ask yourself how an honest attempt to recreate the majesty of Colonial times turned into raccoon fights at five bucks a pop in Keith's backyard, ha-ha. Man, the answer to that particular question is that Keith is sharing a place with his two brothers and them being a******* who wouldn't let them do it anywhere but the backyard; well, add that to Keith didn't technically have any, y'know, history to put on display, but he did have a whole family of raccoons living in the chassis of an old car and you'd begin to understand."
It would be real nice if a later build made tile packs 'inheritable'. So a map could specify that a wall or roof or floor can be anything descended from a given base game tile, and maybe even a preference for which one of any given tile pack, but also let tile pack users set a 'style sheet' to prefer a given style universally. That way you don't have a sudden shift in the visuals just because you crossed an imaginary line, and the vanilla game can be re-themed to match your preferred style...
Another great video MrAtomicDuck - I hope you do a video featuring the 'Map Mod Manager' mod, it adds an ingame UI that displays where maps are placed so you can visualise any conflicts and help eliminate them. Definitely worth a look if you haven't tried it.
@@MrAtomicDuck Thats excellent news. I was in contact with the modder responsible too after having some issues with my resolution and aspect-ratio/text display size settings causing issues with the mod's UI. I already have North of Killian Country, Constown and New Albany from this list, plus a lot of other maps that make the game a "little" more inhabited ( literally ). Thanks you, Almighty Duck ,for this interesting video. Be safe, have fun
@@MrAtomicDuck The pleasure is mine 😉 ( and, sorry for delay.) So far, Constown is the town where I spent most of my time ( Louisville is still out of reach, so no access to New Albany yet.) Killian Country is rather big as a map and I got lost there once or twice without having the leisure to explore at my own pace ( I play with all types of zombies, so I think twice before rushing towards a bunch of sprinters like a blind man without his cane )
As a former resident of real-life L'ville, hearing New Albany described as an urban environment made me chuckle. I get what the map designer was going for, but yeah, IRL New Albany is very much suburban/exurban, though I would have loved to see the Falls of the Ohio included somehow!
in Hartburg, I like to set up a base at the house shown in 2:36. it is on the road behind the gas station and is a nice 2 story base in a low zombie density area. the fenced in area makes for a nice farming space too
5:00 THESES MAPS are my FAVORITES, just islands that soooo cool and unique, I know only one island map I played a lot, THX for this I didn't knew this one ! 5:55 THIS ONE too ! I love "Stand alone" maps SO MUCH, I hope in Vanilla they will make news maps that are fully stand alone and differents, even if they are little !
Could you do beginner friendly videos with multiple map add-ons including where each mod adds to the base in one image for those who don't super know the base world well. Maybe like these maps flush out these areas without extra mods, these require tiles packs (not sure what these do), etc. Looking to expand the world and maybe a couple quality of life mods, but not break the game/god mode.
If you were going to start a fresh run with only 10 mods that don't require messing with the game files, which 10 mods would you use? Only 5 mods? 20 mods?
Isn't buld 42 supposed to make modding in general a more pleasant n sped up process.....honestly one of my only issues with PZ is how mods and modding is handled
@MrAtomicDuck o for sure I just mean going forward atleast updates shouldn't break as much and atleast modding will be handled btr And I know alot of older mods may be left by the way side but it does open up for new modders to take their place , Improve upon or update them if allowed
I play with Superb Survivors and we took over a good portion of Port Hope after we cleared out the military base. It is now the HQ of the Knights of Saint Michael

does anyone know what happened to the weekly events?
I wonder how many mods will be obsolete after the 42
I can think of atleast 12 QOL mods that will be , that's not even touching zombies N the map
I have 450+ mods, I'd probably say about.... 200 of them, mostly QOL and crafting related
Just update whenever your favorite mods are ready.
