I didn’t know Joe Schmo from Springfield in Ohio was responsible for the economic exploitation of Haitians. This blaming of entire nations for the sins of capitalists is anti Marxist. You can recognize that Haitians themselves shouldn’t be blamed, but also recognize that their importation into the country facilitated by elites is used to divide the people.
I would respectfully disagree with Mr. Wolf. I am a U.S. Expat living in Central and South America. I have been to The Darien Gap in Panama, several times. The fact is, gang members, cartel members, military deserters, criminals, pregnant women, Chinese police and military etc. Are being funneled into the U.S., by the U.S. government and various organizations. This benefits Central and South American countries, crime rates have dropped! Criminals and cartel members leave their original countries, enter the U.S., and receive unlimited government and private benefits!
You really think the government is importing those people? To what end? Gang members and cartel folks aren't working. Chinese military would he doing what, spying? Where? Pregnant women, why would we import them?
Trump has often blurred the distinction between illegal immigrants and minorities who have legally immigrated to the United States, creating confusion and potentially misleading many white Americans. During his presidency, there was a noticeable increase in attacks on Chinese and South American communities, which fostered a sense of fear among minority populations. His rhetoric has contributed to racial divisions, as political leaders sometimes prioritize short-term gains, like securing votes, over long-term unity and progress. Such internal divisions could lead to serious consequences for the country, even raising the specter of civil conflict. Despite the escalation in racial tensions, few have publicly challenged influential figures like Trump on this issue. Interestingly, Jewish communities in the U.S. seem to be better shielded from these tensions.
Whyte immigrants (of which there r many illegal) are often shielded from these attacks. There r many whyte immigrants from Europe in NYC, DC and many other cities. I have met many. Americans dont see them as immigrants.
While I understand your sentiment…the idea that employers can ‘find jobs’ is difficult when the burden of legislation makes it hard to make profit to pay salaries. Lift administrative burdens and taxes and absolutely let’s expand and CREATE jobs!!
Please produce a video that explains when irresponsible immigration (be it legal, or illegal) overwhelms the immigration system, a/k/a becomes like a deluge that overwhelms a dam, which subsequently begins to fail because it can no longer support the non-stop influx of water it was originally designed to handle(?)
I would love to hear your thoughts on Modern Monetary Theory in a video or lecture. It's a very interesting topic that I think helps to explain how economies can function at scale while being centrally directed or managed.
I disagree, it is the Oligarchy that benefit from the poor migrants, and they give the Oligarch's the upper hand in the struggle for better wages, because the migrants are willing to work for less and they are willing to put up with more abuse. I am not into bashing migrants as a whole community, but I am also a realist and letting the migrant situation stand as is, is definitely giving the oligarchs the upper hand.
Wolf and his gang seem to be the ones who want to arm Ukrainian nazis to fight Russians, but want to "punch" nazis at home. His biggest critque of the US proxy war in Ukraine seems to be that it's damaging US reputation in the Global South. (source: Wolf Responds: Ukraine War Reshapes World Politics)
True but trump and Vance are not talking about immigration as an economic issue. They are using the issue to stoke racism and bigotry so as to divide the working class which is their goal.
One would think as a civilized country that we would have gone beyond the hatred of immigrants. The Irish, Italians, Greeks, Jewish, etc. all suffered hatred and discrimination when they came but through hard work they overcame. So why in this day and age why is there the same happening to Latin Americans? My daughter has many Latin Americans working for her and they are the hardest workers she has ever had. Her head worker and his wife are in the process of becoming American citizens. I never realized until recently how much money they have to put out and how many years it takes to become a citizen. They probably know more about this country than most citizens do. Maybe the haters should take the citizenship test to keep their citizenship?
I agree that hating immigrants is wrong. Having said that, immigration at the moment, is unsustainable. I see how in some places we don't have houses, public transport is collapsed, traffic unbearable. Cities are also implementing stricter rules to handle it, like time limits to parking, no sleeping on vehicles, etc, which makes it harder to live for locals that are struggling
@@FreedomFromSlaveryy simply not true. It's not impossible to care for everyone. We understand that you would never want there to be a functioning welfare state for anyone.

I live in a country that has had a huge influx of economic immigrants, many illegal, for decades. A few are involved in horrendous crimes (fact). Xenophobia rears its ugly head on occasions. But we also have a Constitution that is strong on human rights, and many of these economic immigrants are not only hard working but well educated. Not everyone who employs illegal immigrants does so because they are cheap labour, but many do so because skilled hard working people are good for business. In my opinion, we should invest in their home countries so that there are economic opportunities at home, but we should welcome hard working well educated immigrants and protect their rights.
