- WCPO's Tanya O'Rourke first reported that Woods' current contract shows she makes more than $72,000 a year. Her benefits include 30 vacation days, two personal days and 120 sick days.

Surely there are other people in that village that are capable of doing the administrator's job for way less. It's a part-time job. If village council makes a deal that is obviously corrupt, the new council and the new mayor should have the authority to revoke the illegal contract.
Basically working less than 6 months out of the year! WOW! I see kick backs going into someone else’s pockets. The city is literally being robbed.

This wasn't a signed agreement, it was an agreement this shady witch had proposed for her to leave office which they promptly refused. Her and her father are both dirty and the council should hire someone to do a full audit of town finances which would likely end up with both of them being charged with fraud.
120 sick days??????????? I have worked my entire life and never had more than 10 days of sick time.
Some companies let you accrue unused sick time and some combine it with vacation time.

120 sick days? LEGALLY they can require her to provide medical diagnosis that she actually has a legitimate reason to call in sick rather than allow her to use those 120 at her mere whim. They should contact the state attorney general and have them investigate her contract. A judge could rule it invalid and send her on her way. $73k plus benefits for a village? There is something very wrong and illegal going on there.

How does this man and his daughter expect to live in this community are grifting them and even after being demanding even more grift! First time seeing this. I only have an Associate degree in accounting but it’s enough to know if not already done, there needs to be an independent audit by a reputable company having had no interaction or relationship to anyone in that town. If there is evidence of malfeasance, her contract should no longer be valid and she should be fired immediately.
The mayor of this small town just got the keys the building where the records are kept. She still does not have access to the town's financial records.

Again why there needs to be a audit and revamp for city, county, state and federal employees and what benefits, pay scales and retirement benefits, medical are offered, because the pay and benefits offerings are grossly taken advantage of, make no sense, and is a waist in some cases of tax payer monies, that can no longer be supported.

Corruption runs deeper than just the two paid employees. Prior council kept approving their pay. It be looking there too.
I would keep her at her "job" too. She will either quit, saving the town money before her current contract expires or will get arrested as they finally get to audit the books.

Anyone in Europe, only it isn’t 120 days, it’s unlimited - if you are sick, you don’t work.
Looking at sick leave as a benefit and not a right shows some serious programming.

In Europe it isn't unusual to full pay for the 1st 6 months(26weeks) of sickness and half pay from 6-12 months.

Power struggles like this happen all the time in small communities. People at the top of the hill begin to think they rule the world, even if their particular throne is an anthill. I saw this firsthand in New Holstein Wisconsin with corruption on the school board. Ruining lives to satisfy personal wants and desires is wrong at any level.
The financial shenanigans and outright corruption going on in cites, including many smaller communities, is shocking.
This is accountability finally coming to this small town. Glad to see the new mayor is taking the high road and trying to be as honest and transparent with the community as possible. And not being petty either. It's a balancing act at this stage and you need to build long term trust. As much as I want to see Ms. Kicked to the curb, following procedures like this will protect the community down the road from a long, drawn out legal battles. Don't worry. I'm sure Ms. Woods will see the inside of a prison cell somewhere down the line.

No one in the private sector would get a separation agreement anything like this. It is 2 weeks per year of service with a cap of 1 year.
A year has 365 days and this woman had the audacity to be taking *120 days of that as vacation/‘sick days’.* Anybody see something wrong with that? 😂

Make her work every day, per the "contract" properly, documenting deficiencies of job performance that could rise to the level of termination. It obviously is time for the state auditor office to perform a three (3) year review of financial records. This is another reason why local governments should be using the states UAN (uniform accounting network). This also shows how important elections are, as well attending meetings of our elected officials. Just saying

120 sick days per year, continue to have full salary paid until end of 2025 after getting dismissed or the whole amount paid as lump sum if she finds another job before then. Only works half the year and all financial records she is makes no one else except her dad can access or audit. She got that job through her dad who wants to hide all the corruption his family has been up to.
