- When Neil Donoghue decided to build his dream bike build, there was only one bike that came to mind - The Specialized Kenevo SL! Having ridden a loaner bike, Neil knew he had to get his hands on one for himself and decided to build his ultimate dream EMTB bike with a serious list of high-spec components to really satisfy his need for speed!

Stunning bike. I have a Levo SL and I have to say they ride beautifully, so close to a manual but with a motor. Best of both worlds
I bought an Kenevo SL Expert just before Christmas, done nearly 2000 miles in 10 months. Run mine with the -1 headset and low setting rear, only real spec changes are swap out the SRAM brakes for Saint's & Galfer thick rotors and a 31.6mm carbon bar & stem.
It rides brilliantly and while it is hard work on the climbs, if out with a crowd of full-fat bikes it more than keeps up going down trails.
Recommended.
I have a Kenevo SL S works and I’ve come from a Yeti SB6 team replica. The Kenevo has transformed my riding and it’s been noticed by everyone. Absolute monster of a bike!!
Bought a Kenevo SL Comp, upgraded with FAST coil shock, Zeb ultimate, XTR brakes, AXS dropper and rear mech and carbon wheels. As good a spec as the sworks and about 4k cheaper to boot 😁

love my KSL - it's a planted beast of a bike that can be nimble when you want it to be. It jumps like a dream

I have a Focus Bold2 with 26.900 km and I've changed pretty much everything on it. The only original parts left are the seatpost collar, the Shimano display and the remote lever. I built my last MTB from scratch, but now I ride a lot and destroy everything pretty fast,so even if I don't like something, I don't upgrade, I just wait a bit until it's time to replace it.
Just bought a KSL, stunning machine.
So he finally got persuaded with the KSL 😂 I knew he would. I've got the KSL, it's a monsttter

Hi Neil, I've got the Specialized Turbo Levo Comp carbon 3rd gen ; it's murdered out ! I got invis to customize black lettering over the silver & black lettering over the head tube, One up bars with red One up decals, with 35 mil rise 780 mm length, Red Anodized muck off valves, full Invis, 35mm Copperhead stem, in black & Red Anodized Hope flat pedals, upgraded the butcher tyres to a gravity in the rear & slightly heavier casing on the front & 220mm rotors front & back 👍👌🔥🔥🔥🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲

Bike looks awesome, not cheap I presume but a great way to build what you want if you can buy frame sets which it seems few manufacturers offer yet unfortunately. it would be even better if the motors and batteries had a standard frame mount/fixing so you could choose motor and battery for even more custom but doubt that will ever will an option.
Sweet rig, I love my Kenevo, wish I could mullet it properly but its still really good.

I have and love a Rossignol (Felt) Mandate Shift Deore emtb. It uses an EP8 motor with 630wh battery. Great geometry, ZEB fork that I upped to 160mm travel. I changed to an Ergon saddle and Fat Paw grips.

Beautiful bike. I would be tempted to buy one but I think after owning a full power ebike for 2 years, I might feel like the SL is a bit gutless. I'd like to have a ride on one though.

I have bought a Orbea Rise M20 and do similar. exchange everthing i think. Same Renthal Stem and carbon handlebar (800mm here). Choose XTR over TRP for brakes, and DTSwiss 1501 exc for wheels. AXS everthing. And fox 36 front ohlins shock.

Very nice build dude, I bought an Kenevo comp and started to upgrade the components to where i want them to be as I personally didnt like the options on higher spec bikes and prefer the security and longevity of Alimunium (My last bike an acoustic carbon 2008 S-Works Stumpjumper started to delaminate). So far i have upgraded the bars to Rental 35mm bar with 40mm rise. Raceface flat stem but 50mm reach as it was too twitchy for me without. Brakes are in the process or going to over to Hope, and the drive chain i want to change to shimano once its worn out (might be a challenge with the hub body). Seat is now a Flite. I wanted a coil shock but found that Specialized had replaced it later that year as they were having some failures due to the push angle apparent causing issues with breaking the damper shaft. I might replace the shock later, quite like the look of the new marzocchi rear coil. Also plan to have a 2nd 500watt/hour battery or more likely upgrade the battery to 750wh or ideally 900wh as being a heavy dude with a heavy bike its only really returning 16miles on the 500wh battery on my quick local route on turbo for maximum fun.

I've built alsorts but my last one was a Yeti ASX build with Manitou Sherman's hope, chris king, raceface, she was a beaut 😘

Would have been better off buying the Comp as the frames are the same, and selling off all the bits (assuming the EU price is similar ratio) Either way, right now I think this is the best Enduro E-MTB.

Have a 2022 Reign E2 love it! I been changing it as I go. ten tooth cassette, gx axs derailer, modified front proguard fender for the rear, mudhugger bolt-on on the front and Saint brakes among other things. Do you prefer the invis over the other frame kits out there?

I recon light weight ebikes are faster than a full fat Ebike on a normal trail centre biking like landegla be interesting to see I’m a timed loop or a race 🤔🤔
Until you throw more intense descents into the mix, then I think the extra weight is to your benefit

Do the range extender actually come included as standard with the frame only? I cannot find information on Specialized webpage that it does.
