Thanks for all your videos and great explanations
I was wondering if you could do a video on forward two and a half somersaults with one twist?

Hi, I love all the useful information in all your videos, you make them simple to understand and I like how each time I re-watch them I still somehow understand more and more of it, I got a little issue with my hurdle and at the end when the board gets to the lowest point I can only get it to 9 o'clock with bent arms, and my coach told me to have my palms down so they don't bend so I sometimes get 10, But do you know any tricks to help?

Sometimes changing the hand position like your coach said can help. The main issue is that you’re working against large forces. The board is pushing you up really fast and your shoulder muscles are trying to overcome that force. That’s why people connect their arms and shoulders, get cut off (like your situation), or bend their arms excessively.
      Here’s the “trick”
Ideally, you engage your shoulders and arms on the first half of the arm circle. That means from 🕛 to 🕕 you are swinging hard. But once your arms hit 6:00, disengage your muscles and let the momentum carry them up. Don’t “try” to bring them up faster. That will just engage the muscles more and make it harder to get them up.
It sounds a little counterintuitive, but I promise, relaxed shoulders on the way up on your arm circles will allow the hands/arms to get all the way up to the top!
Seeing a video would help to know why your arm timing looks like. Because that could change the answer slightly. But most people struggle with relaxing more than other stuff! Hope this helps

Can you do a quick video on pike saves for beginners to learn?
I just started diving last week and I’m obsessed with it! Even got my toes scraped from the black tape on the board from all my reps. Very proud to have bandaids on my toes 🙏

Hey Gabriel! It’s funny you say that because the next video is about like saves… it’s about half way through the editing right now!

      @@thediverguy awesome I can’t wait to watch!
I was practicing my hurdles today after watching your analysis and it made it a lot scarier to dive but I can feel by doing so it gave me a higher and more narrow parabola angle. It was a bit difficult to control my body in the air but I managed to pull off a forward tuck dive either naturally or by accident 😂. It felt so great nonetheless and I thank you for the knowledge and wisdom!
I love the quote, “first thing to learn last to master” that’s how you know how important it is to learn and practice. I’ll be re-watching this series and practicing dry. Thank you very much I really love the in depth breakdowns. I’m about to go back to binging all your videos 💎 I can’t wait for your video catalog to grow. You’re doing big things!
