- Last of the Dogmen (1995) starred Tom Berenger as a modern day tracker in pursuit of three escaped convicts, who finds a Cheyenne arrow. He is convinced that a tribe has survived in isolation for generations without any contact with modern civilization.He enlists the aid of anthropologist (Barbara Hershey) in a quest to find if it is true. The story was written and directed by Tab Murphy and features an emotional and exciting music score by David Arnold.

Frank Trent Watts, This movie is beautiful. There are many of us who have a heartfelt interest in Native Americans. Your love and respect for the earth is truly wonderful and I have such respect for that. I wish more people had that.

Absolutely one of my all-time favorites. Film-making at its best, in my opinion. Superb acting, wonderful cinematography & locations, wonderful story line! And the musical score is amazing!! I bought & watched this movie back in the 90s, but love it as much today as then. Tonight, for the first time, I watched the Director's Comments. All the things he pointed out, that he thought he could've done better, such as potentially corny lines, I totally disagree with. It is PERFECT just as it is!! And the emotional scenes where Lewis is leaving Zip with the little Indian girl? I LOVED it -- he was SO real!! Just a beautiful movie!!

Thank you for uploading this. You had no way of knowing, but this is one of my very favorite films. Like many other longtime Americans, I have a bit of Native American in my ancestry, but not Cheyenne, I have Blackfoot blood on my maternal great-grandmother's side. As far as I know, they are the only American tribe which was never defeated by Federal army troops. (I could be wrong, though). They were mighty warriors, maybe like the ancient Spartans perhaps.

This is one my most favorite Native American movies. I can't help getting emotional whenever, I watch it. Is it possible that tribe of hidden natives be hidden in American?
