I would have definitely not figured out that it meant fishing bait when you need spiced maggots. Man's truly has downloaded runescape logic into his brain.
I can really see how your puzzle skills have grown over the course of the series and it feels awesome that you just think hmmm maybe this idea and it works perfectly! Great job can't wait for more.
Could be overthinking this but Greenmans Ale being sponsor of Castlewars might be a reference to Brown Ale being the sponsor of NewCASTLE United back in the day lol.
Great content, please NEVER give up as it is very entertaining! Even if you eventually need a hint (guaranteed I feel, the game is insane) you should continue!!
I love this series, I've come back to OSRS after playing it mainly F2P as a kid and I barely know anything even with the use of the wiki and Runelite. I lowkey wish I made an iron man but this series is giving me that nostalgia hit I was craving - that curiousness and wonder I felt as a kid.
I love watching these videos! I could never have the patience to do this myself, but I'm constantly trying to think where I would look for these items too :D
You probably have barrows gloves by now as I'm binging through the series, so I feel like its a good time to mention that Klank's Gauntlets from underground pass provide respectable melee stats and have no negative stat bonuses.
So much more entertaining than most runescape series where its just selecting what the plugin and wiki tells you and grinding. This is much more entertaining.
First episode I've seen but mate you're making me so nervous almost eating those exotic foods. Surely using menu entry swapper, which is completely unrelated to quests, wouldn't be breaking any series rules? Gl on the adventure
when looking at quest requirements you ask alot "where is that?" when there is a show on map buttton under that lol love the series keep it up your a legend
Such a great start to this mega quest. I never realized just how good the help was for the random items, like the Greenman's ale being sold in Yanille since it's near castle wars. Can't wait for the next episode!
People are so used to using the wiki that they don't bother trying to figure things out in-game anymore, but a whole lot of these quest elements that folks might think obscure are actually spelled out pretty well if you're willing to do a little looking.
Wiki locked makes it sound like you are locked to using only the wiki, for a second I was very confused and thought you made a second character or something ^^;
Videos have been awesome, very cringy haha. Its funny cause the questions you ask, surprisingly, i know the answers to and i literally say no go here so much. I have actually adjusted how i play. Just have fun! I really like the edits you do too, simple and funny. Especially the blacked out screens with the white text that you do, so funny. Don’t forget to do some of the diary stuff too. Why? I guess you will have to find out.
Question: You discovered certain things that will be of use for future episodes (you have probably already reached that point by now, but I'll have to watch the rest of the series to find out) but anyways, do you have a notepad to keep track of things you know? Like spawns or special shops that sell items that would otherwise be hard to get?
you might be the only person to actually read all the dialog options, like that greenman's ale is a sponsor of castle wars i like the lore of the game and never knew this, favorite series on YT
Even if the shops would populate with raw fish by someone selling there (which will never happen instead of them selling food to G.E.).. You could never buy it since you're an IRONMAN. You really need to start thinking more like one if you want to succeed in this playthrough, yes checking all the new shops you get access to is smart on ironman since some amount of "shopscaping" can still help to speed up things even as iron. But the whole point of the ironman playstyle is that you need to get almost everything as a drop or gather it yourself. So until the quest cape has been obtained, grind bit extra of everything that quests tell you to get (unless it's hyper specified like some ingredients in recipe for disaster). Most of the basic materials will appear in several quests, so for example don't just get single papyrus thinking that's it's the only one you'll ever need and constantly keep learning what items you can make on your own. You're ironman, you stand alone so don't expect to be able to buy everything. If a shop has a 0 stock it's always only for selling and never for buying (some exceptions do apply to this rule, but those kind of shops are always locked behind really hard to reach areas. Usually only accessible after master level quests)
After quest cape I’ll definitely be doing PVM and bossing, and I’ll pretty much do this but instead equip myself lol. I think it’ll be super fun to try and guess what attack style and items I’ll need
I'm doing my own unguided playthrough (albeit with normal wiki use, just without quest guides) and I've waited to watch this video for a few months until I fully completed RFD. Finally finished it today, can't wait to go through the huge backlog and catch up!
I love this series. I remember the struggles o playing unguided as a kid. I remember trying to figure out where to dig in the pirates treasure quest at my friends house before scurrying home to do it on my account haha. I just dont have the patience anymore!
So...have you heard of Flip? He's kinda doing the same thing you are. Only he's ACTUALLY playing the game for the first time without any help either. Very different feel. No wiki or anything. He JUST recently has figured out how to get one of the map pieces for dragon slayer 1. Liking both series really.
Kudos sir, you gave yourself a harder challenge than mobile only questing lol. Been hoping since launch that they put a quest helper on the mobile client, 30 quests to go til cape.
Enjoying the series, honestly most wouldve up and given up before underground pass with a challenge like this. I do like how this forces you into unconventional, niche or forgotten methods for stuff due to the restrictions.
I was a wiki locked ironman😂. I was an Ironman cause I didn’t know the grand exchange existed. And I was wiki locked cause guess what, didnt know that was a thing either. I’m a boomer, ( I’m 32 ) , I’m not a gamer. Played rs back in the day ofc. Picked it back up like it was still 07 scape. 😂 I went to varac bank like the good ole days and said “ buying rune scim “ for legit months and everyone just ignored me. Eventually some guy was like “ I’ve seen you here for a week, the GE is right there😂. I can’t believe how long u was just ignored for though😂
one piece of advice i could give would be to label your series episodes in order like #1, #2 etc etc. I was trying to watch your series from episode one but found it difficult to know what was the next episode based on the recommended vids in my side bar.
Gotta say, this is the best Runescape content since Swampletics
It's my second current favorite osrs series after @jzips series reviewing every bank in osrs by release date
Love it! Both of these guys make me fall asleep in an instant, such soothing vibes
Genuinely the best OSRS series going at the moment
The feeling of this series is impeccable
For real, this series is an absolute gem in the OSRS community. I wish episodes came out a bit more often, but I don't want it to be over either.
Facts
Hell ya!
this and by release is all i need in life
Dude you figured that stuff out like an absolute beast! None of your usual struggles hahaha
I even surprised myself in this one!
I would have definitely not figured out that it meant fishing bait when you need spiced maggots. Man's truly has downloaded runescape logic into his brain.
The goblin cook literally tells you about that if you pay attention to all the dialogue. :l
now you know why zombies drop fishing bait
I was about to eat dinner, and this pops up, my meal has been saved and blessed
I can really see how your puzzle skills have grown over the course of the series and it feels awesome that you just think hmmm maybe this idea and it works perfectly! Great job can't wait for more.
Could be overthinking this but Greenmans Ale being sponsor of Castlewars might be a reference to Brown Ale being the sponsor of NewCASTLE United back in the day lol.
Good one mate!

Very soothing content my dude. Just caught up on the journey. Will look forward to a new video.
Amazing series - can’t wait for more!
Honestly my favourite series so far, and has me trying to figure out/remember these quests as you’re going along.
Love this series so much.
Part of me would love to do this in RS3 but I think Elemental Workshop 3 would legitimately make me wanna break my screen.
also the maze from Sliske's Endgame
This is the channel to watch. You’ll get my vote if you get nominated for the Golden Gnome.
🥹❤️
Mine too!
This is a really good series. I like the quest explanations/summary. A lot of other series are missing that, and spacebar everything
The best OSRS series on YT! Your editing and personality is incredible! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words
You're storming those quests, Gz :D
Criminally underrated and underviewed series
Got me second screen set up for the first time in a while and ive just binged this whole series in one day, banger content, looking forward to more!
Thank you! Appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed
Another great episode!
A great start to the new year 😄
Very very enjoyable content, keep it up!
First episode I've seen but mate you're making me so nervous almost eating those exotic foods. Surely using menu entry swapper, which is completely unrelated to quests, wouldn't be breaking any series rules? Gl on the adventure
Gotta live life on the edge 😂
watch your profamity
when looking at quest requirements you ask alot "where is that?" when there is a show on map buttton under that lol love the series keep it up your a legend
Your growth as a player from Ep.1 to now is staggering. You're absolutely nailing it, keep it up!
He's back!
"I'll get two just in case" this man is genuinely scarred 😂
Such a great start to this mega quest. I never realized just how good the help was for the random items, like the Greenman's ale being sold in Yanille since it's near castle wars. Can't wait for the next episode!

Awesome content!! Looking forward to the next episode!
At the age of 28 i just did this quest for the first time, and my god props to you my dude cause i NEVER would have done this without a guide.
First time catching a video fresh out the oven. Stoked
Wiki locked makes it sound like you are locked to using only the wiki, for a second I was very confused and thought you made a second character or something ^^;
Aha true, I used it as in ‘it’s locked’, but you might be right lol
This is gonna be a certified banger
Always a good moment when a new episode of unguided gets released 👍🏻
Aww, binge watched the whole series and now have to wait. Can't wait for part 2 of rfd!
Videos have been awesome, very cringy haha. Its funny cause the questions you ask, surprisingly, i know the answers to and i literally say no go here so much. I have actually adjusted how i play. Just have fun!

rip with song of the elves and mornings end part 2...

Lessgoo this was such a good episode!! Can't wait to see how this quest will progress
you might be the only person to actually read all the dialog options, like that greenman's ale is a sponsor of castle wars i like the lore of the game and never knew this, favorite series on YT
also your funny af
I had no idea that Greenman's ale was the sponsor of Castlewars. That's actually a really cool design choice.
Even if the shops would populate with raw fish by someone selling there (which will never happen instead of them selling food to G.E.).. You could never buy it since you're an IRONMAN.

yee haw Im excited to watch this one! RFD took me like 5 hours and that was with quest helper lol
Man you steamrolled through these quests! You're getting too smart at this game now...
Doesn't know how to make bread
Tutorial island: Am i a joke to you?
Damn I would not have got those items for the goblin quest that easily, you were so smart about it lol
"I can check the smithing guide"
GG
Jk its a part of the game XD
Idea: a wiki locked PVMer. Start a main. A friend equips you for a boss monster but doesn’t tell you the mechanics.
After quest cape I’ll definitely be doing PVM and bossing, and I’ll pretty much do this but instead equip myself lol. I think it’ll be super fun to try and guess what attack style and items I’ll need

This is going to be a.... recipe for disaster (don't all boo at once)
Whats...the cosmic tallys drop rate from a casket?!
Holy, didn't know castle wars had any sponsors lol.
I love this series. I remember the struggles o playing unguided as a kid. I remember trying to figure out where to dig in the pirates treasure quest at my friends house before scurrying home to do it on my account haha. I just dont have the patience anymore!
Lol why did they feel the need to retcon cooks assistant?? The simplicity was the best part of the rsc quests! Besides that RFD is a cool quest
I looked up yesterday to see if you released a new vid yet, unfortunately not. Now i wake up and see this :D YASSSS
He doesn't know the diving gear isn't cosmetic and is actually used somewhere besides that sub-quest lol
When the fuck did you get a dragon scimmy
Man, I am loving this series! This is probably my favourite snowflake ironman!
Damm you were intune with the osrs logic this ep
How did you figure out who in Karamja sold charcoal? The wiki?
Never the wiki!! That shop is just the first general store on mainland karamja lol, not much else to choose from
Brooo no way you just dropped another episode. I live for this series, ur awesome!
hey babe, a fresh Unguided episode just dropped
Awesome episode in an amazing series! Looking forward to future uploads!
Wow this episode unlocked so many memories from 2006
So...have you heard of Flip? He's kinda doing the same thing you are. Only he's ACTUALLY playing the game for the first time without any help either. Very different feel. No wiki or anything. He JUST recently has figured out how to get one of the map pieces for dragon slayer 1.
Liking both series really.
I have! Love his exploration into the game too. A really awesome unique perspective on osrs
Kudos sir, you gave yourself a harder challenge than mobile only questing lol. Been hoping since launch that they put a quest helper on the mobile client, 30 quests to go til cape.
Damn nice! Good luck man, you got this
If only you'd upload more often so the algorithm would pick you up and we'd get more content :)
Would love to be able to do this full time to pump the videos out!
@@AlienFoodage time to get sponsors or set up a patreon haha
I’ve just watched this from the start, sad I’m out of episodes to watch now. Such an amazing series, this channel will be huge I know it
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed
so good, liked + commented + would sub 2 a patreon
I really appreciate the support!
Hope this helps the algorithm and you release more content
Awesome video as usual! Was great to meet you the other day :)
hell yeah boy im so excited!!
I love this series man always excited to see new episodes
awesomeee
I need hour episodes sir
You sir are pogging!
“Wiki blocked…etc” would’ve been a better title but hell yeah new episode!
Hahaha you have no idea how much I flip flopped between Locked or Blocked in the title 😂
I agree, but went for the more commonly used word in the end
Amazing work lmao
Great content fam.
this series is dope
Love this content
I can't get enough of this series!
Community discord when?
Maybe, unfortunately I’d be worried some people might try to share spoilers in it
Yesssss
Xoxo
Loving the series man!
I ate my first fish cake 😢
😢
Love this series.
First
huge
11:09 Im Unguided can check the Smithing guide? that sounds wrong, but imagine not being able to look at the in game guides... that'd be too much
Haha that would be insane, I’ve always been able to use in-game guides and quest logs :)
Enjoying the series, honestly most wouldve up and given up before underground pass with a challenge like this.

😭 it’s a shame you didn’t get a helping hand sooner but that’s so funny
@@AlienFoodage they probably though I was a scammer/bother cause I was just there repeating it 😂
😂😂
Great series! Would you accept a hint that has no context as to what it pertains too?
Thank you! Ideally avoiding all hints outside of the game so probably not just to be safe :)
one piece of advice i could give would be to label your series episodes in order like #1, #2 etc etc. I was trying to watch your series from episode one but found it difficult to know what was the next episode based on the recommended vids in my side bar.
You absolutely CAN burn the fishcake. Learnt that one myself 🥲
